Purchase of food is required with consumption of alcohol.

I've always loved SMBW, and I really appreciate all their efforts made to keep guests distanced, safe, and well-hydrated (plus fed)!

It was a beautiful day to sit outside and the brew works observed the covid protocol so we could enjoy our outing. nice change of pace. fix burger hit the spot!

Hard to gush about beers in a parking lot, but we applaud SM BW effort to create a fun, safe environment to gather and have fun. Their beers are outstanding the food truck options were great on the night we were there. Plus we're happy to support the local business. Fun for a group...and you can bring your dog. What's not to love.
We enjoyed our time at brew works, the staff all take precautions. The set up feels safe, comfortable, and clean.
The only small down fall is the food options- I understand the state/county are mandating food purchase with alcohol; I have some dietary restrictions so depending on the food truck there aren’t always a lot of options for me. But, brew works is trying & we are in a pandemic.

It was awesome. Great service with great beer. We are definitely going back. I can't wait until Covid is over so we can enjoy indoors as well.
A greater effort needs to be put in place to enforce COVID procedures with parties of more than four at a high top table. A large group of eight was behind my party of three and they did not adhere to policies to physically distance with their two tables and they often bumped into my table and people in my party. It made us leave earlier than anticipated.
Excellent beer, very safe outdoor seating and customer service was great.

You can’t beat having it 1/2 a block from your home. Stoked to have them in our city.
Needs to do better job of communicating their new policies.
Made a reservation on Saturday for dodger game.
Hour before I learned via their IG that the game would be audio only until sunsets.
Get their for my 5pm reso (game starts at 510) and
Told would only have 90 minutes to watch game.
I GET ITS CA LAW. Doesn't excuse them from not disclosing these two things BEFORE or immediately after making the reservation.

Great to have a brewery to enjoy in these challenging COVID times. The Brewery has set up socially distanced tables where they helped us celebrate my son's 21st birthday. Great beer selection and friendly staff. Do wear sunscreen if you are there in the afternoon as the parking lot does lack shade.
Need unbrellas outside for sunny days! Hopefully heat lamps in winter? Otherwise great experience!
A very pleasant Sunday afternoon lunch, despite all the covid restrictions. Lots of open tables and outside pace. Food and drinks were both excellent and came quickly - you order both like in a sushi bar by checking boxes on a menu, and then taking it up to the cashier. Food came in take out boxes from the food trucks, so basic presentation, but quality ingredients (we ordered poke bowls and wraps). Friendly service, great beer.
Only negative was the food truck that day wasn’t really very good, but not reflective on the brewery.

Thrilled that Santa Monica Brew Works is back open! Fantastic Covid protocols. We made a reservation for 1 pm and secured a table in the shade. Two food trucks to choose from. I got a Beyond Burger from The Fix truck. My husband got fish tacos from the Go Fusion Grill truck. I believe they will rotate various food trucks each weekend. You order the food and beer from a menu you write on and deliver that to the beertender when you get your beer. Our food came out right away. And the beer, yay! The reason for coming here. Lots of delicious choices, especially refreshing on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon. All of the employees at Santa Monica Brew Works are awesome. Can't wait to go back.

SMBW is the absolute best! Their new outdoor setup is very spacious and chill, COVID precautions are in check and are done very well. Felt very safe and secure!
Plenty of space for safe distancing. Great beer. The food will depend on which food trucks are there.
Great outdoor socially-distanced set-up, great to have the foodtrucks there and a smooth ordering operation (though you have to get up for each round and there's occasionally a ~5 minute line for a drink). Bring a pup, enjoy the sun!
I've enjoyed SMBW for a long time, they have always had great bike parking, great staff, and room to gather with friends. I just stopped for lunch, October 2020, on a Saturday afternoon. Their Covid-era outdoor seating is what it is, a parking lot beer garden, with social distancing carefully regulated by county rules. Day drinkers note there's not much shade. Their IPA, mid-ride, was fantastic as always. The falafel truck is fairly good, and there was a burger truck too.
Always a good time at SM Brew- so happy they are back open. They had a burger truck there and got some great IPA's and a little buzz on.
Excellent, innovative beers, conscientious staff and setting. Highly recommend!
