Very basic decor and furniture and not particularly welcoming. Staff seemed more concerned about chatting together than serving and cleaning up. Food very average so we actually left after our first course.
Very good, service was good, food was top quality
Warm welcome, excellent food, friendly helpful staff. Nice relaxed atmosphere not rushed. In our opinion, excellent tradition food at a reasonable price. We really enjoyed it.
Was at this place on the weekend.
Food was good but not outstanding.
I did think the food could have been a bit better. .
We had the meat and cheese plate. Could have been more choice on there.
3 pieces of small bread between 2 of us !!.
Great food and friendly service. Good choice of authentic dishes. As near to a Spanish tapas bar as you will get in Cardiff. If you can't get to Spain, go here. Could do with a few more Spanish wines on the menu.
Great lunch. Our server, also named Santiago, looked after us very well, delivering our drinks and food promptly and ensured we were satisfied with all aspects of our lunch.
Great food and service however the decor could do with updating
The food was delicious with a huge choice. The service was great with lovely staff. Can't wait to go back!
It's a good place for some authentic tapas. I personally prefer the branch in Whitchurch, which has better food and a nicer ambience.
Lovely choice of tapas, everything that we ordered was delicious
Food was excellent and we will definitely be returning. The service was very good and friendly. Lovely atmosphere.
Padron peppers, lamb stiffado, paella, and chorizo with potatoes, all very nice. Staff nice and friendly.
Very nice - loved the tapas and sat outside for the atmosphere
Excellent food, delicious sangria. Great value for money
Terrible food, questionable recipes (potato Bravas not with tomato but cubes of under cooked potato with Mayo squeezed on top??)
Ambience of a school canteen ..
never again .
Tortilla was dry and the rest of the dishes were underwhelming. The wine was hugely overpriced and the whole experience was just really disappointing.
Food was great, lots of vegetarian options which made it easy to order for a group with mixed dietary requirements. Loved it there.
Very poor overall. Microwave rice on the paella, no flavour, could buy better frozen. Staff didn’t want to be there and made no effort to check how the meal was. Will be sticking with bar44 for tapas from now on, far better in everyway
Lovely food, service and atmosphere. Definitely will return
As ever, excellent food and friendly, efficient service.
I'd recommend booking as it's always busy.
Amazing tapas! Would highly recommend. Authentic & tasty.
Great classic tapas and mains Spanish restaurant. Nice to get away from chains
A perfect day sat outside watching the world go by. Totally enjoyed our lunch and wine.
Excellent food at a reasonable price with good service
Lovely atmosphere great menu and food was spot on. Attentive service all courses brought exactly as ordered.
Staff were nice but a bit slow, restaurant is a bit small so close to others as we battle a pandemic is not ideal.
I love tapas but this wasn't my favourite place for tapas. The sardines were cold and a bit raw the chicken skewers were ok the potato's were a tad hard but the paella and garlic prawns a chirizo was lovely. I don't think there's much meat selections compared to other tapas restaurants.
We had potato bravas, garlic mushrooms, calamari and a seafood and meat paella. Everything was delicious and piping hot. Excellent customer service.
Paella and squid were some of the best we have had.
Toilets could be improved.
Excellent food and friendly service. Would definitely recommend to my family and friends.
Excellent food as usual with a cheerful atmosphere.
Pregunte a una camarera si la paella era hecha al momento y me dijo que si,mi primera impresion al verla ya fue que era pre-cocinada,y cuando la probe lo comfirme, pero weno, como la mayoria de restaurantes españoles en uk
Amazing food and a real family feel to the restaurant. Will definitely be reccomending and returning.
Great service, OK food. Location was perfect however
The food and drinks were really good. Service was slow. The staff took ages to serve but food was ready quickly
Our visit was ok, we had reserved our table but there was some one seating there when we arrived & had to wait 10 mins. The food was good but had to wait 10/15 extra minutes for one of the meals. The drinks order was mixed up but got there in the end.
Lovely meal and surroundings and lovely attentive staff. Will definitely be back. Somewhere I wouldn’t have found tucked away very authentic place
The food was beautiful xxx we come again very soon x I have shared my 5 star review with my 5k Facebook followers
Ok food generally nice staff nice restaurant looks a little tired
First night out since having our baby and the expectations were to standard, amazing, friendly, funny service we had. Outstanding food and drinks. Defiantly will be returning and with the family!! X
