Went with friends, we all had tapas. My husband and I are vegetarians, and found the choice very limited, only vegetarian paella as a main course. We chose this as one of our tapas choices, it was nothing like an original paella taste. The others were very poor value for money. My friends had meat based tapas and found them tasty and filling. Would say the pardon peppers and cocktails well made. Probably won't use it again in a hurry except for drinks.
Food was outstanding, real authentic Tapas ! Very quick service and friendly staff.
Nothing fancy but perfectly good local with a very reasonably priced lunch menu. Will return. Dates wrapped in bacon the stand out dish
Fab food . Lively atmosphere and staff very attentive . Good service
Booked table at 8pm , main course arrived at 8.30 which was ok , after eating main course ordered more drinks at 9.10!pm was then told we had to leave at 9.30 because there was another booking for the table so was forced to drink very quickly , yet there was a table of 3 who were there before me drinking cocktails and were still there when I left. I should have been told I had the table for 1hr 30 mins when I arrived, my whole experience was spoiled, this will be the first and last time I visit this restaurant. I hope this feed back is given to the owners. Kind regards
The food was nicer at their branch in town, some of the food was quite dry here, and nothing was served with dressing or sauce.
Excellent family meal and reasonably priced too. Nice to try something different from usual chains.
Excellent food with a thoughtful menu. Should carry a good standard non alcoholic beer.
Starters were poor, olives had just been thrown in a bowl with couple sluces french bread, no oil, no balsamic. Canara potatoes with main were hard and salad from a bag was but limp, overall not great.
I was very happy with the service I received and the food was excellent will definitely visit again
Food was ok but that’s it. Bar 44 is better. It’s wasn’t as great as I imagined.
Very good service and great food. I would certainly recommend
Excellent food, generous portions, friendly efficient staff. Great value for money.
Had the tapas from the menu, really tasty and good value for money. With attentive service, it made the overall experience very good, and will definetely be going back again!
We had a girlie lunch and the food service and atmosphere were all great
Service hit and miss. Cookery hit and miss. If you catch Santiago’s on the right day it is great but all too often it’s a bit of a let down.
We had a lovely time! I will definitely be going back :)
Great selection on menu. Generous portions. Delicious food. Knocked one star off because the calamari were a little overcooked and chewy. The octopus was absolutely perfect though so I'd assume the calamari was a one off and I'd order again. Croquettes were nice enough but a bit bland- everything else had so much flavour. Favourite dishes was the octopus, the spicy chorizo in cidre with potatoes soaking up all the lovely sauce (I also mopped it up with bread) and the flavourful juicy chicken pinchos.
We had a very pleasant meal based on a selection of tapas. The service was very good throughout - courteous and suitably paced. The food was very good although a slight tendency in some dishes to be oily. Oberall, thoroughly enjoyable.
Second time at Santiago’s, and again food was delicious and service was as expected.
We had a family dinner with my two year old, and were there at 5:30pm, so atmosphere was quiet and service quick which suited us.
Definitely going again.
Fantastic asset to Whitchurch Village.
Lovely relaxing atmosphere with great lighting even in the daytime, staff are polite and efficient.
Menu is deliciously Spanish with a large variety of choice which arrived as normal at slightly different times.
The freshness of the food was excellent and the portion size of 3 dishes each was more than enough for two. I genuinely recommend Santiago’s it’s great for either a few but would be absolutely fantastic for a large table as the atmosphere is is fantastic.
Great food and wine, really enjoyed the atmosphere and staff were very attentive and lovely. Would highly recommend
Lovely ambience, great service, good food, was charged for an extra coffee but this was removed from the bill. Would definitely go back.
Busy and informal, lots of 'noisy' groups, but good fun and attentive staff. Service timely and helpful. Food varied and good flavours. took advantage of the good weather to sit outside after the meal and finish the3 bottle of wine
The best tapas I’ve had in Wales! So good, would highly recommend to anyone.
Lovely tapas. We shared a few different dishes. The fish goujons, calamari and chicken skewers were delicious. Brilliant atmosphere for a Tuesday night. Very good value.
A lovely meal in a pleasant setting.
The food was authentically Spanish in both look and flavour. As it is two years since I was last in Spain, due to COVID, it was a delight to have the wonderful flavours of Spain in this restaurant so close to home.
Good portion size . Food very tasty only issue chicken skewers were a little dry. All in all a very good experience
Amazing food, great service. Would highly recommend and will be returning myself.
Really enjoyed our visit - great selection of tapas
Lovely evening celebrating a birthday . Service was great . Staff was very attentive . Great value for money
Amazing Tapas in a relaxed atmosphere. Great selection and reasonably priced.
Food was great, portion size big so we had need up bringing food home. First visit and will defo go again. Host also found us a table inside as table booked for outside. Excellent service all around
Great food and service in comfortable surroundings
Great value for money and service. Excellent tastes
First visit for all five of us and we all equally enjoyed the food, ambiance service etc. Felt dishes were quite authentic and high quality. Would definitely go back.
Really disappointing food. We had the tapas and thoroughly looked forward to it. Sadly the patatas bravas was so so spicey, it wiped out the taste of the rest of the dishes.
Both the food and service were really good and didn’t disappoint! My partner and I ordered a few tapas as well as a paella - I’d suggest doing one or the other because we were so full by the end but all were delicious! The only thing I wasn’t a fan of were the meatballs (personal preference) but my partner loved them.
Will definitely be returning!
Excellent food and service top notch! Serrano ham was delicious as was the calamari. Will go again!
Unfortunately I had a steak which was so overcooked it was virtually inedible. In fairness to the restaurant they were very apologetic and did not include the meal on the bill. Very nice espresso martini to finish off the evening.
