   The experience of afternoon tea at the Savoy was outstanding. Very good variety of sandwiches and cakes only thing was the noise of other guests made us lift our voices to hear each other. Staff very friendly and professional we would go again.

   Had a wonderful afternoon tea at the Gallery in the Savoy. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Food good. Definitely would NOT have had room for High Tea, which has an extra course. Pianist was excellent and added to the luxurious ambiance. Only comment would be that the silver teapots dribbled all over the floor when poured by the waiting staff. Only one waiter knew how to do it without spilling any! As a special treat I would recommend the experience.

   We had a wonderful server to start. She was helpful with the menu and suggested teas to compliment our food choices. She set a great tone that was sadly dismantled by the server that followed her. This person cleared plates in the table. She stacked them in front of a guest and scraped remaining items on the table in front of us all. She came back to reset the table with silver and literally threw the silver across the table. She was so aggressive that the experience became uncomfortable for all. If I read this, I would want to know what the guests did to cause this type of behavior but there was no escalation or reason for it. She was either terribly trained or targeting the guests based on their nationality. It was a shame. The high tea was great, the atmosphere was beautiful and everyone else was very kind and accommodating. Hopefully, others will have a better experience.

   Definitely a case of style over substance. Surprisingly disappointing afternoon tea experience at The Gallery. Service was friendly but somewhat inconsistent, the food was heavy and rich but not very flavorful, and two of the three teas we tasted were very underwhelming (if you go, get the vanilla black tea, even if that is not normally your tea direction). Champagne was solid - but also quite expensive by the glass. At the price point we expected much more. We checked the box and will not be returning given the many amazing tea options in London and around the world.

    The ambience of the place is outstanding although it depends on personal taste whether you prefer a more intimate experience (which this is not) or a more exposed experience (which this is). I felt the quality of the food was good but not excellent. I was a bit disappointed by the patisserie where flavors were a bit underwhelming while optically they were all fine. Given that this is by far the most expensive place I have so far tested for High Tea I have to say that I’ve had slightly more perfect experiences
