Expensive but delicious
We had a great table on the window.
Service adjusting to new increases in volume.
Good was excellent
Lovely dinner with friends
Service was very laid back, also very poor communication from server . Blinking lights in the dining room food was ok . Def not coming back . The food used to b outstanding!!!
My husband and I LOVE Scarpetta! We go here for a lot of our date nights and special occasions and every time it's wonderful all around. Our server Michael this time was spectacular! Super funny and attentive and helpful, can't wait to see him again haha. Highly recommend Scarpetta!
I forgot to show my 50.00 open table discount because I went to the bathroom and my husband paid
Great dinner
Terrible service. Shocking that i had such an experience and it was at such a nice place
Nice and quite place on the second floor with a good view on Rittenhouse Square park. The food was delicious and the personnel was very friendly.
👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 good, lil slow but good
They allowed me schedule a dinner when they were not open.... i lost an entire night because of this
Scarpetta in Philly cannot be compared to the one in NY. Actually, they should not even have the same name, because it’s not fair with the one in NY. We just had dinner at the Philly location and the experience was really disappointing! To start, the service, OMG, it felt like all the staff was in training, little mistakes here and there. We asked for table at the window to view Rittenhouse Square and they set up the plates backwards to the windown! We moved the plates ourselfs. Then we ordered a bottle of Franciacorta and they kept it in a bucket with no ice, which they realized too late! The lady bringing the food to our table put the bread basket, the aptizer and the desert in the corner of our table instead of in the midle of the table, which is something obvious. As for the food, average, nothing special. Don’t know if this is due to covid, but I’ve been to Scarpetta in NY in the middle of the pandemic and it was amazing. So again, too different restaurants.
Absolutely the best!!!! Drinks, pasta, everything! Our go to!!
This was a fantastic dining experience. The chef came out and made sure that my dining companion felt assured that her food allergies were respected. The ambiance was lovely and COVID restrictions were respected. As always, the food was delicious.
Although the server said they were honoring the 50% capacity among COVID, I felt very uncomfortable. There was a birthday party taking place on one side of us and the main dining room where we were located appeared to be at almost capacity. The food was good and the service was okay but the party added to the noise level. It made me appreciate the restaurants that take your temperature, spread out the tables and even have their servers wear extra covering (even if it is for their own protection).
Great staff, great food, always a great time
Perfect date night! and the staff was excellent.
Every member of the waitstaff that we came in contact with were amazing, the hostess as well. As far as the food, I'm a stickler for Italian and I was not let down. Gnocchi was pillowy soft, which is my favorite. Went for restaurant week, but we did not end up participating in it.
Great spot!! Service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend and will be returning!
Friendly service and delicious food with a great view of Rittenhouse Square!
Always like coming to Phillie and dining at Scarpetta. Set and setting, at Rittenhouse Square, is hard to beat! Wait staff and sommelier... very attentive and helpful. My only regret is that they have very few California wines on their list. We shared the octopus starter and Brussels sprouts, yummy, and the Capellini pasta... delish! Guilt makes me not mention the creamy flavorful ice cream. You’ll have to try it out for your selves.
Disappointing cuisine, with the exception of the bread basket. Even though the seafood was cooked perfectly, everything else was subpar. I recommend other options in the Rittenhouse area.
First off, the food was delicious and amazing. No complaints there. However the service was horrendous. Party of four on a Sat night at 7:00. It was busy, but there were empty tables so not insane. We ordered appetizers which came promptly along with a lovely basket of bread. No one came and checked in with us on the appetizers. Eventually a bus boy came along to refill water and we asked for some more bread. No bread ever came. We waited ONE HOUR for our entrees. After we complained about the wait, the entrees miraculously appeared. We asked AGAIN for more bread. Nope. Nothing came. Manager must have gotten wind of our long wait so he came over and asked how everything was and we again told him about the wait and the fact that we never got the extra bread. He apologized but still no bread. When we left, we reiterated our experience with the manager, and he gave us his card and said please come again and we will "readdress" the issue. What he should have done was comped us for dessert or coffee or a drink or SOMETHING. That would have been a nice goodwill gesture and left us feeling like we were heard. Nice place, good food, but service sucked. Also, it's really noisy.
We eat at Scarpetta every year when we come to a Philadelphia. Unfortunately, the food and wine choices have continued to decline a bit. No need to return next year
Great restaurant and excellent service.
Very disappointing. The food was mediocre, with little flavor or distinction.
Our waiter was Glen and he was absolutely amazing! It was my birthday and on his way out he saw us at the bar and sent me a bday shot. He was spectacular! So sweet and very knowledgeable. I can’t say enough about our experience. Thanks Glen!
We love Scarpetta. However, our experience at the Philadelphia location does not compare to the NYC location. The service at the Philly location was sub-par (drinks not re-filled, forgot my husband's cappuccino, etc.). Even the food is better in NYC. The location however, is beautiful and the restaurant itself is attractive.
Always amazing food and service!! One of my favs
Loved it. Had an amazing birthday.
One of the best dining experiences in the city!! From the food, service, atmosphere and a great view! This is probably the best restuarant in Phildephia!!
Scarpetta was amazing--a fantastic dining experience all around. Service and food was great. We loved the yellow tail crudite and the octopus. The tagliatelle bolognese was out of this world. I had the filet and my husband had a tuna special--both great. Our server was very attentive and very informative. If I had to do it over again, I would I have ordered the budino for dessert but we were very full!
Food is consistently good. Staff VERY accommodating. Only minor criticism is a somewhat limited menu, but the tuna special was outstanding
My second time eating here. The menu is good with many options for everyone, but nothing looks “OMG that’s the one.” The wait staff seemed stretched and at times inattentive. The ambiance is lovely and you feel cozy dining. If you factor 2-4 glasses of wine, starter, two entrees, and desserts your check will be $180-200. For that price the service should be white glove.
The duck melted in my mouth and whatever my friends had was exceptional... Scarpetta is in my top five places for a special occasion.
Amazing!!!
Anniversary was amazing and the staff was brilliant!
Great experience and meal.
All around a great experience. All of the food (especially the bread) was amazing
Food ranged from good to excellent. Beautiful space and good service. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that the food did not always live up to the menu. That is, it sounded better on paper than the execution. But overall a very good place, just not a 5-star place to us.
Service was really bad. Needed to ask for items such as silverware and more water Food just ok.
