Two ladies celebrating birthdays with afternoon tea with a difference.
Hot courses were very unusual and delicious as was the sandwiches.
Eleanor our Italian lady who was looking after us gave exceptional service and made our visit memorable.
Would certainly return

overall is good, foods are tasty ,stuffs are helpful, very reasonable price for a full afternoon tea. But there are two small insects kept trying to stop on our food.

My only request would be that the scones are much bigger rather than the small ones we were served.

Lovely environment, the food was delicious and plentiful and the staff so friendly. We mentioned just in general conversation with the staff that we were in London having an extended birthday celebration and they bought out a complimentary dessert. It is a little on the pricey side but definitely worth it for a special occasion.

Really enjoyed our afternoon tea, but would of liked to of been told of the wine offer, we would of had more rather than our initial drink each.
Thank you.

I really enjoyed my experience and after reading great reviews i am pleased it lived up to my expectations. I brought my best friend for her birthday and the afternoon tea was great value for money. The hot starters provided a fresh twist to other standard afternoon tea deals elsewhere and the quantity of food was just right, not to mention delicious and the attention to flavours was great. The service was really good and not pushy just felt really genuine and I liked the whole experience so much I have booked for a few weeks to return. Thank you scoff and banter for a really lovely afternoon and shall look forward to returning and hopefully enjoying it as much . Would definately recommend for a perfect afternoon tea and experience

Despite mixing up our reservation which meant we had to sit on a tiny table the hosting and service was very very good. Because of the mix up the manager offered us a complementry bottle of prosecco and was very apologetic. The food was outstanding and we left feeling very full and happy. Would definitely recommend!

- The food is great
- The service is chaotic, stressed and inattentive
- The ambience is okay, but the huge number of mirrors is a little weird/distracting

We had a lovely birthday afternoon tea. I looked for something a bit different and Scoff and Banter didn’t disappoint. The savoury/sweet afternoon tea was wonderful. Some of the savoury options were devine . I booked through Open Table and mentioned that it was a birthday. The service was excellent and after the tea was finished they brought a special cake over for the birthday boy, at no charge. Really was a lovely couple of hours and I would definitely go back. Really enjoyed it.

Lovely afternoon tea. I took my Mam for mother’s day treat. The selection was great. Hot food could have been warmer! But that was the only criticism. Our waiter was excellent. Very attentive and very friendly. Sorry I forgot his name. But it began with Cs?? Would visit again

Fabulous afternoon tea, loved the fact that we could choose from the different menu sections and the hot starters were unusual and really enjoyed by all of us. The waiting staff were lovely and the birthday girl got a rose and an extra cake. Perfect location just off the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street. We didn’t feel rushed and had a lovely relaxed afternoon, we will definitely be back!

I was extremely disappointed with this meal so much so that I was actually really gutted! I had ordered the sticky beef for starters which was extremely salty . The arancini was lovely and the only good thing that was had. You had a choice of different flavored scones - orange, choc, maple & sultana, vanilla , cheese and apple & pecan . We had ordered different flavours so we could try them all but we shouldn't have bothered as they didn't actually taste like the supposed flavor (and were v. dry) to top this off my friend had a nice long bit of hair baked into one of her scones! We mentioned this to the waiter who offered to get another one for her but by then she was a bit put off and declined but asked for it to be taken away. The sandwiches were mediocre and nothing to rave about i actually left the sourdough with onions and steak as i couldn't bite into the bread and i love sourdough! for the desserts (normally my favorite part) we had ordered sticky toffee pudding, chocolate whiskey cake, chocolate Chantilly cream, rhubarb and custard and strawberry shortbread with whipped cream. sticky toffee pudding was meant to have a brandy snap which it didn't and it had the tiniest bit of sponge at the bottom of the cup which was extremely tough. rhubarb and custard had the tiniest bit of rhubarb on top of the custard and the custard was curdled so much so it tasted like scrambled eggs and we returned and was asked if we wanted a replacement but by this point we was so defeated we thought there was no point. The strawberry shortbread and whipped cream was basically just a biscuit with buttercream on top. . Throughout this we also had to constantly ask for a refill or a drink and the waitress dedicated to our table wasn't attentive at all . At the end of the meal the waiter gave us our bill and said they had removed the service charge as a goodwill gesture?! seriously!? the service charge is optional and we didn't have to pay this anyway

My best friend and I enjoyed our first afternoon tea in London. Sweet china setting. Super quiet, wonderful wait staff, fabulous tea and oh my! the scones, clotted cream, jams, and deserts! We were very full when we were done. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely birthday celebration tea. The atmosphere and ambience were calm and gentle, the waiter was attentive and friendly and careful with my gluten-free food. The food was very nice and rather more filling than expected and they were aware of, and had catered for, my diet with more choice than I often get. We spent a very relaxed couple of hours eating and chatting; lovely.

I booked this as a surprise for my mum who was visiting London for the weekend. The food was delicious and the service from our waitress Edit was impeccable. There was a lot of food and I managed to book when a free prosecco promotion was on so all in all, great value for money.

It could have been a nicer view and there were a few unsavourable flies but otherwise, I would seriously recommend this to anyone looking for a special treat.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. My daughter and I have had many afternoon tea's in London over the last few years, some of which have been extremely expensive I have to say the Scoff & Banter are just as good. The staff were friendly, choice of food excellent, good ambience good service. I booked as a birthday treat for my daughter. Would certainly recommend it to friends. We will re-visit again

We wanted to experience a British high tea being from Canada and wanted it close to where we were going to be. It was a terrific experience. Great food, a superb waiter, cute place and a very good price. Loved the tea accessories. It was well worth it and a fun time.

We we’re booked in as a group of three for afternoon tea for a friends birthday. Service was good, though there was slight miscommunication due to a language barrier from the waitress, however she was very helpful and apologetic.
The food was delicious, it was great to have the warm starters, a real twist to afternoon tea. Plenty of food and majority of it very tasty and plentiful. We recieved a free bottle of Prosecco with our booking and this was great.
Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a slight alternative afternoon tea and would certainly go back myself.
