Really brilliant time. We had an offer for the four of us to get free Prosecco, so we had a good deal. On top of that when the staff overheard us celebrating a series of birthdays, they surprised us with roses and dessert on top of that which we had ordered. Wonderful place.
Excellent service and great food. They accommodate vegetarians very well. Will be back!
We had the most wonderful afternoon tea experience, and I can’t rave enough about the service and food selection. There were other venues we could have chosen, but I’m so happy we chanced upon the Scoff & Banter Tea Room. Many thanks to the staff for making our tea service such a memorable and appreciated part of our London stay.
I went here to have an afternoon tea with two of my friends. I liked the concept where you could choose your own menu as for what to eat so that if there is something you don't like it won't be on your plate.
My favourite dish that I tried was the mushroom (in the hot dishes section) and my friends recommends the salmon bagel.
Overall I would say that it's a lot of food so don't eat before having your afternoon tea. The location is easy to find when you're a tourist so that's a big plus and the ambiance feels luxury.
Myself and my two adult daughters were in Scoff and Banter for afternoon tea. What a lovely place, very pretty tables, lovely food and excellent service. Next time we visit London we will go there again and I would advise any friends to do the same. Thank you Scoff and Banter.
A celebratory afternoon tea... booked through open table greets you have a free bottle of Prosecco... and its a really nice one...i must admit i had my doubts as the price was half other establishments but they where quickly put to bed. Service brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. They even bought over 2different teas as i couldn't decide. The food was delicious and plentiful. I requested on the booking if something could be done be to make it special as it was my wife's birthday and at the end they bought out a passionfruit cheesecake with chocolate dipped strawberries for my wife. Awesome!
Just wanted to experience high tea in London, I thought it no better than the States.
Excellent venue for a really nice afternoon tea . Everything was good and I was very impressed with the service and food, in particular the fantastic lamb cutlets and cucumber sandwiches
My wife and I went for afternoon tea to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent, especially the savoury hot starters, which you don’t expect with afternoon tea. A bottle of prosecco was given to us for free, as was a special cake for our anniversary. Fantastic food and service. Would come again in a heartbeat.
We were looking for a nice place to have the "Afternoon Tea Experience" while on our trip to London, not really thinking it would be that big a deal. We were shocked at how many different kinds were out there and at such a huge range of prices. Eventually we went with Scoff & Banter Oxford Street and I'll tell you why. For a set price you not only get an afternoon tea experience, but you also get a delicious small plate meal as well.
For us this was the perfect late afternoon tea and dining experience. Seated in comfortable cushioned chairs we were treated to a feast of flavors both sweet and savory. One just need to look at the menu to see what amazing choices you get. Some of our favorite savory's were the Poached free-range egg Florentine, Wild mushroom arancini with creamy spicy mayo, Croque madame, and Steak and balsamic onions with toasted sourdough. For sweets we enjoyed most the Poached rhubarb with custard and a gingerbread biscuit, and Chocolate whisky cake, candied orange and malt shake but truth be told there really wasn't a bad dish that we ate.
As for the teas, amazing selection served beautifully.
Special thank you to Antonio, a native of southern Spain, who gave us amazing service and some great stories.
Booked afternoon tea for my daughters birthday. Lovely welcoming atmosphere and meticulous service. Food was delicious and selection of teas were fabulous.
This was a lovely afternoon spent with both my daughters after a days shopping. We had a super champagne afternoon tea with great service from Edit and wonderful food.
Very dead atmosphere at 5 pm for afternoon tea. Apart from our table of 3 there was only one other table in the entire restaurant (and they soon left). With only 2 tables in the restaurant we still couldn’t find a waitress most of the time. They forgot our Champagne (which they finally brought when I reminded them), the food took at least 45 min to come out (again there was no one to cook for as it was only us and it was just afternoon tea sandwiches). I actually wouldn’t mind taking my time if there was some sort of ambiance but just one table doesn’t leave for a bustling atmosphere.
So empty restaurant no waiter around kind of felt like we were in a large banquet room alone.
Lovely ambience and afternoon tea to celebrate our engagement!
Well worth a visit Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was very good
Had a lovely time celebrating my mother's Birthday, Good food, Nice selection of Tea and fantastic service from the staff. I would definitely go again.
Although the food was tasty, restaurant did not honour prosecco promotion advertised on website and outside the hotel. Meant that this was quite expensive for food and tea. Service seemed hurried and flustered, served us the wrong hot food.
Very good experience. The only one missing star is about the possibility to mix the tea with desserts instead of the once proposed. But generally speaking everything perfect and for sure I would like to repeat again the afternoon tea.
This was an amazing experience for Afternoon Tea highly recommend. We thought the food and the experience were amazing for the cost of the service.
We were on vacation from the U.S., and my children found a love of tea as a meal. On a whim, we tried to get in to this amazing establishment, but had no reservations, AND it was close to closing. Despite all of that, they helped us get a table and stayed late to accommodate us. And if they were bitter about it, they didn't show it at all, but instead displayed an enthusiasm for their work that is inspiring. I will make this a must for every future trip to London.
:)Little difficulty on finding the location, but the atmosphere inside was perfect! Friendly staff and great quality of food. Me and my friends had a splendid afternoon tea there, recommend!
This was a great place for afternoon tea with my family- it was formal enough to feel festive, but relaxed enough that no one needed to change before coming. The food was really good and the tea was fantastic. Thank you!
Quite disappointed with the experience although the lovely guy who was serving our table really did try to make it better, so thank you! The food was pretty bad, it seemed like someone had made everything a few days before and it was microwaved when needed. We also found a hair in my boyfriends food which was the cherry on top. A shame as a few of my friends have been to the Knightsbridge/Kensington branch and said it was lovely. I would say value for money in comparison to other extortionate high teas around London but you get what you pay for! Not impressed.
Very good service and quiet ambience close to Oxford St
The 4 of us had so much fun at Scoff and Banter! The staff were attentive and helpful in food and tea suggestions, even for a 9 year-old. Everything we ate was scrumptious and well presented. The venue was adorable with polka dotted china and pink and blue teacups! A great London tea experience.
The place is very under staff. We had to wait for quite a while to have our teapot filled. Staff are friendly.
Absolutely amazing time. Staff were so friendly and made the experience that extra special. Thank you
We had a lovely afternoon tea at Scoff & Banter. There's also a terrific special including a complimentary bottle of prosecco. Very memorable!
For our first afternoon tea experience, it was great. We loved the teas (Ceylon and Garden Berry). The service was fantastic as well
A great venue for a relaxing afternoon tea options that cater for everyone and really friendly service that was not too intrusive
Excellent service and lovely food, would definitely recommend
Lovely afternoon tea but very difficult to find the place! The booking and location on their website said '350 Oxford Street', but the tea room was actually located within a hotel on a lane adjacent to Oxford Street. Nothing mentioned this so we spent a lot of time walking up and down Oxford Street trying to find the place. This slightly tainted our experience of Scott & Banter.
The tea rooms are spacious and comfortable.
I booked an afternoon tea with a complimentary bottle of Prosecco.
When we ordered the waitress did not mention the complimentary Prosecco, so we ordered two glasses of champagne. Once the champagne arrived, we were told about the Prosecco. I asked them to take the champagne off the bill, since we did not have any Prosecco, but they didn't and they would not let us have the Prosecco to take away with us, even though it was "ours" in theory.
The air con was too cold.
The service was very attentive. Very nice staff.
The food was not exceptional.
It does offer a reasonably priced place to have a quiet conversation.
All in all, it has it's place under the sun. ;-)
This was my second visit and certainly won’t be my last. Everything about the experience:the food, the staff, the beverages is outstanding
We went there for a short break after shopping and before dinner. Staff were very friendly even though we went quite late just before 6pm when the kitchen closed but they let us stay and finish the food.
It was great .. the food was beyond excellent .. everything is fresh .. the waiters are so helpful and nice .. however the food took a while to come
A real British experience having an quality afternoon tea in London. Excellent options of sandwiches, scones, hot dishes and desserts, accompanied by a cup of tea and a bottle of prosecco.
Very enjoyable afternoon tea with a twist, great for special occasions.
Visited with my mum on Saturday. We try to visit London once a year together and i treated her to afternoon tea. It was just around the corner from the Disney Store on Oxford Street which meant we could shop before and after. The food was delicious, well presented and -plentiful. The staff were polite and friendly. Despite the hot day the temperature was cool inside. The tea was delightful, as was the crockery. Would recommend to everyone i know. Truly special.
The main course ( we took the lamb and the lobster ” soup ” with scones (?) ) was not a favourite. It actually made the overall afternoon tea worse. The lamb was only a cotlet with 10 layers of fat on a bone, and the lobster soups bread was not even done.
The actual afternoon Tea was ok, but to smal portions. For the amount we paid we’re not impressed. We left a bit disappointed and hungry for a scones bigger than our pinkies.
The cups and can were super cute, but the Tea was only a big can of hot water without any taste of something else.
