Not quite your traditional afternoon tea. You are given a menu to choose 2 items from 4 sections - warm snacks, sandwiches, scones, cakes. Vegetarian choices for sandwiches and the warm selection were limited, underwhelming and bland - egg or cucumber anyone?! My dining partner eats meat and was happy with her choices and said they tasted great. Was strange to see her eating a tiny lamb chop at an afternoon tea though! Scones were tiny and came in 4 different flavours along with tiny dishes of clotted cream and runny rhubarb or strawberry sauces. The sauces tasted good but were so runny they dripped off the scones. I had an sticky toffee pudding in a tiny cup and a lemon meringue cake. The sticky toffee pudding was the highlight of the tea for me and the lemon meringue was overly sweet and cloying - as if it wasn’t sweet enough they put an unnecessary dollop of jam in it too. The masala chai tea was absolutely lovely but we weren’t at any point offered another pot. The staff, although friendly, were rushed when we first arrived and I had to attract one of their attention after 15 minutes so we could order. It’s a dedicated, wood panelled tea room in the Radisson hotel. If you get a table by the window it is a lovely place to sit and chat. If you’re looking for a good value, traditional afternoon tea this is really not the place for you!

We had the most wonderful Afternoon Tea at Scoff and Banter off of Oxford Street. Our sever Roberto couldn't do enough for us, the food was delicious and plentiful and it was the perfect treat for my sister and mum. I would thoroughly recommend here if you are looking for somewhere special to take family and friends. 10/10 cannot wait to return!

Had afternoon tea. The price was quite reasonable for a place that’s clean, renovated and had excellent cutlery and plate layout (and design). The staff were knowledgeable and what I particularly loved about the place was the fact that you got to choose two from each product category, rather than have a set menu and the food options enforced upon you. This way I got to choose what I can and do like to eat.
Will definitely be going back there again for afternoon tea.

Amazing Prosecco afternoon tea for 4.

Food was fantastic and unlike usual afternoon tea, you could choose what you wanted (so it could be tailored for fussy eaters) and it included 2 hot dishes each - an unusual change from the norm.

I could hardly walk as I left because my eyes were bigger than my belly - but totally delicious and well worth it.

Excellent value for money great service would thoroughly recommend to any one who enjoys a laid back afternoon tea. Slightly change to standard sandwiches as two hot selection which our group had scollops lamb cutlet sticky beef. The only thing all the group did not enjoy was the strawberry shortbread. As a group of 4 we had two bottles of Prosecco all for £34 each. Lots of choice and too much cake and scones to finish.

Having visited last year and had a fantastic experience my expectations were pretty high. Sadly this time we were disappointed. I think the diffence was due to the time we booked, last time was at 3pm this time 6pm. The tea rooms were clearly starting to clear down to close so the service was not as attentive as it could have been. We had to pour the processco ourselves. All the food came out at once so the hot dessert wasn’t hot by the time we ate them. Last time they came out separately. The food was the biggest disappointment, the arincini was served barely warm. The venison sandwich was soggy and tasteless. The strawberry shortcake must have been sat all afternoon as the biscuit was totally soft and wet. There was some high points, our waitress was really friendly and the scones good. We were the last people in the tea rooms and left wishing we hadn’t returned. If visiting definitely book earlier in the day. Sadly we wouldn’t visit again.

Lovely afternoon tea. Interesting combination of hot choices and traditional sandwiches and cakes.
The little cheese scones needed butter as they were too dry alone.

A wonderful find for afternoon tea. A little oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle of Oxford St. Excellent choice of food with the addition of hot food option. The service was great. Csaba looked after us really well. Will definitely be returning for more.

Had high expectations of the afternoon tea here. Well, sandwiches & pastries were good, hot dishes very yummy and tea was nice too but the scones were stone cold. Service was friendly and attentive to start with. Being one of the last tables on a Saturday, the waiters looked tired & totally lack of smile by the time we had the bill.

Didn't come in expecting too much from an afternoon tea but this being our time time we left disappointed. At almost 40 dollars US per person we were hoping the quality of food matched what we paid. Desserts were pre-made and did not taste fresh. Tea was fine but not worth the price. Overall we felt we could have spent the amount for a more fine dining experience.

Afternoon Tea served in delightful colourful china was scrumptious and good value for money compared to most other establishments serving Afternoon Tea. It was unique too in the fact that you got to choose what you wanted and you had two hot appetizers to start in addition to the usual sandwiches, scones, and desserts. The food was high quality and beautifully presented. The only drawback I found to the whole experience was that the dining room lacked ambiance. It was in a room tucked away on the mezzanine level of the Radisson Blu Hotel without any views or memorable decor to speak of with bright(ish) lighting. I would have preferred something cozier or romantic with plush furniture and candlelight. Maybe that's just me? It was also very difficult to find as the address is inaccurate; it is not directly on Oxford Street, but behind, and hidden inside the hotel.

We have been here before and wanted to come again. First of all we were welcomed by our waiter who was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. We like the variety of the 4 courses and unlike some Afternoon Teas there was a good choice of cakes which you could see were all home made. One of the ones I had was custard with rhubarb and a ginger biscuit, which was delicious. We had a bottle of Prosecco which was included in the offer. The only negative was we found it very hot in the restaurant. We will definitely be going again.

We had an excellent afternoon tea at Scoff and Banter on a Saturday in December. The main reason for selecting this particular afternoon tea was the ability to choose from an extensive menu - two hot savoury, two sandwiches, two scones and two types of cake. The hot savoury options were very welcome as afternoon tea can be very sweet. We had a vegetarian in our party who did not like the vegetarian sandwiches on the menu, and the restaurant was very happy to provide alternative fillings more to her taste.
Our waiter was Roberio - and he deserves particular mention for his welcoming, accommodating and professional manner. Nothing was too much trouble.
We would definitely return to Scoff and Banter in future, it was one of the nicest teas we've had, and felt it offered very good value for money - and it was delicious!

Nice place but it took extremely long to get our food and the tea was served way before I could get my scones. Scones were disappointing and not enough clotted cream was provided for 3 people so had to ask over and over again. Overall OK but you can find better value at this price point.

A lovely atmosphere, I took my daughter for her birthday. A great selection of food, lovely scones, the only issues we had was, the strawberry jam was to runny and there wasn’t a lot of clotted cream, especially for two people, been for other Afternoon teas and the jam has been thicker and a lot more clotted cream. We enjoyed the Prosecco offer, a complimentary bottle. Many thanks.

Tasty Food, Good Tea, great service but Too much Food, half would have been enough.

We were informed that We only had a slot of 1.5 hours, although We made it in that time it would have been nice not to feel stressed. A slot of 2 hours would Suit better.

The hotel lobby smelled very much cigarett smoke However the afternoon Tea was one floor above and in the Tea salon it was fresh and No smell.

Brought my mum here for afternoon tea as a surprise for her birthday. She is still saying how much she loved and enjoyed the menu and how it’s one of the best afternoon teas she has attended. The quality of food and service was amazing and we are both of the opinion of returning for another afternoon tea. Great value for money in a great location.
