We booked afternoon tea to celebrate my upcoming wedding (after a couple of cancellations) and Scoff and Banter were absolutely incredible. Very attentive and friendly service, lots of laughing and joking with the staff. They organised surprise complementary things for me. We all had the best afternoon with them and didn’t want to leave. Oh and the food, wow, everything was delicious! We can’t wait to come back!
The best afternoon tea I’ve had. Delicious food, and beautiful setting. Particularly excellent service from Angelo who was lovely. Thank you!
Met my best friend in London for a girlie weekend... So pleased I found this place to have afternoon tea. Had the bottle of prosecco offer. . Good value, food excellent, service exceptional.. Well worth a visit.
We went to London with our children to spend some days of the autumn vacation and one of the things we wanted to do was to have a high tea. We loved it! It was hard to choose between the options in the menu. Everything was delicious! The ambiance was also great, the staff very friendly. We had a wonderful time and totally recommend it.
Lovely afternoon tea, food was delicious and staff very attentive. Particularly enjoyed the warm starters! Thanks for a great experience
This my third time at Scoff & Banter Oxford Street. It’s a great location, nice ambience and the choices are fabulous. Where else would you have hot starters of lobster bisque and scallops as part of your afternoon tea. Going to Scoff & Banter has become a tradition. Long may it continue.
A very relaxed afternoon tea in a great venue. Original food choices and plenty of it … couldn’t finish it all and they offered to box up what was left! Scallops and arancini were amazing as were the preserves for the amazing scones! Great range of teas too. Very friendly and attentive service.
Will definitely go back.
Excellent service great atmosphere lovely food would definitely recommend
Absolutely top class, great value for money, very attentive service, will revisit when we're in London next time.
Very tasty! Enjoyed everything about this afternoon tea
Took my 10 year old for a special treat during the holidays.
I have been a few years ago and remembered it as vibrant and busy and really good food.
Yesterday was very different, for most part we were the only table occupied in the whole room, it felt very flat and quiet.
The food was tasty, but they were missing a key component to the afternoon tea which we paid £115 for, no clotted cream!
They had run out. Personally I don’t like jam and always just use the cream in my scones so a bit disappointing.
They also did not have my first choice of tea.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
Overall I feel they are slightly overpriced and that maybe why they were not busy.
Bank holiday weekend I would have expected it to be very full when they said that they had only 20 bookings that day.
My 10 year old loved it and felt special though. So Still had a good time despite atmosphere.
Beautifully mannered, friendly staff. Great value for money. Exciting, unusual choices, including hot options. Definitely try the croque madame!! Brilliant location opposite Bond Street Station. My friend and I loved it!
Great staff, convenient location and surroundings were pleasant if rather uninspiring. Half of the food was good or delicious, a quarter was alright and a quarter was poor. For example the cucumber sandwich, bread seemed frozen in one place and overall sandwiches did not seem freshly made. However the scallops were delicious as was the rhubarb and custard dessert. Scones were reasonable. Staff couldn’t be more helpful.
Went for afternoon tea in our first trip to London. Delicious food and tea
Loved the place, great environment and service and the food is just amazing! Will be back for sure!
This is a really lovely place for afternoon tea just off Oxford Street, the hot starter was a very nice different touch. The choice of scones was also lovely and the sandwiches and cakes delicious too. Service was very good, it was a quiet afternoon but we all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
Well worth a visit, you will not be disappointed. I've been here 3 times now and can compare with places with higher prices and this is one of the best afternoon teas you can have in London.
Easy to find on Oxford Street, fantastic prosecco, perfectly chilled.
Very tasteful food and very serviceminded straff. Helped us with info about desserts containing nuts or not.
I'll be back next time in London!
Would recommend. Good service and quality food. The only criticism I have is that I would have preferred if there was more than a couple of veggie options for the sandwiches.
The staff really takes care of you and makes you feel special! The food is really good and I especially liked the hot food in the beginning of the serving. Top quality!!
Amazing experience!! Food and service just brilliant 😊
I had the perfect first visit for my best friend Sanjay birthday treat Robert treated us like Royalty we felt so very special & the food was just WOW delicious Robert even gave Sanjay a birthday cake chocolate cake with a toast of champagne!!!
100% recommend & I can not wait to return!!!
Patchy food quality but excellent ambience and service.
We have been here a few times before and always enjoy it. As it was Valentine weekend everyone got a free glass of Prosecco and chocolates for the table, which was a really nice touch. Although on the website it says you can only have the table for 1.5 hours they didn't rush us. All the food was delicious and the staff were very helpful and super friendly. We will definitely be coming back.
Food was AMAZING! I would highly recommend the Sticky Beijing beef fillet. The staff were incredible and went the extra mile to make the experience both enjoyable and memorable. Everything was beautifully presented and worth every penny. Will definitely be returning!!!
Perfect afternoon tea, lovely decor and a very welcoming host to greet you, Roberto was excellent with great knowledge of the menu and made the whole experience superb, food was hot and very tasty, cakes were lovely
Lovely place and staff. For the most part the food was very nice and plentiful, but the scones didn't seem fresh.
We made a reservation and had Winter afternoon tea set. There is a tearoom in the Hotel.
It has a relaxed and bright atmosphere. Pots and tea-sets are so pretty and raised us up!
At first, we chose two hot dishes. “Lobster brandy bisque with a warm cheese scone” was especially very delicious that we were impressed! Hot meals, Sandwiches, and essential part, Tea were great. Winter desserts are just right sweet. We can have delicious afternoon tea set at great prices! If I have to choose a word, I’d prefer soft scones.
But we have a good impression with the polite service for us, and we could make a good memory for the trip. Thanks!
I would like to express my disappointment with you. Today was my third visit at Scoff & Banter (Oxford Street) for afternoon tea. My first 2 experiences were lovely which prompted me to go for a third time, however today was a disappointment despite being the only group in the tea room we recieved very poor service.
For the first time I was told the tea was NOT refillable unless we paid extra. This was never the case in my previous visits.
The food in the stands were mixed up and we had to physically move food from one stand to another.
Unfortunately I probably won't be returning.
We chose the winter afternoon tea - food was very nice and slightly different to other teas I have had. Service was out of this world - very attentive without being over the top. Table setting and general ambience was formal but still quite relaxed
Second time visiting Scoff & Banter for afternoon tea, not as good as my first visit but would return again.
The rare venison was not rare & quite tough, we had to request milk to accompany the breakfast tea one person had ordered, I found the meringue overly sweet, but Th are just personal preference.
One of the best experiences ever! The service was amazing thanks to Csaba who made my mom's birthday an unforgettable experience. I am definetly coming back to taste some other dishes I did not get to now. Be prepared for generous portions with a lot of flavors.
This is a gem in Oxford Street.
My second time here and I will be coming back.
Hot food to start was such a nice addition. So much food, you really need to be hungry before you go! Attentive staff but not intrusive
Food wasnt the best and service was quite slow at first, however got better as the meal went on. Good for a budget because of the set menus but definitely nicer places out there.
The place had a weird fishy smell, and was quite dark. The food wasn’t fresh and you could tell it had been sitting for quite a while as it was cold. Taste wasn’t very good either. Service was slow.
Brilliant options, food was brilliant and staff very friendly.
We would highly recommend the Scoff & Banter afternoon tea, we started with hot starters, unusual but it was unique & appetising. We arrived at the earliest reservation so it was very quiet. Our waitress was welcoming & very helpful, we had an issue with one of the flavours of the scones, and was offered an alternative flavour, but we declined, as we could not eat know more. It was lovely & we would defiantly chose to visit again. Thank You!
Read so many good reviews on this place, and needed somewhere to take my friends visiting from Australia, that was casual dress code. The food and service was excellent and the Champagne was pretty good too! Not as busy as I had anticipated but it was just after New Year so perhaps folk were full to the brim anyhow. I will visit again, £42 for afternoon tea with Moet, what's not to love?
