Long wait to order drinks, long wait for the drinks to arrive and an even longer wait to order food. Some of the staff were pleasant but the senior management were very rude. If you are sitting outside be prepared to be forgotten about. Overrated.

Food great, service great, loved the decor and building, easy parking. I had a mind-blowingly delicious gin vermouth cocktail. When we arrived the dining room was almost empty so we chose the bay window table so we could watch the Christmas play in the grounds; another party arrived and were put next to us, which I didn't really mind - but they were not 2 metres away from us, and all the other tables were free. The music was very off-putting - early 80's pop hits - surely something/anything would be more suitable for such a sophisticated dining experience, not sure who they are aiming to appeal to - a load of grannies who go to Butlins?

I can’t write enough positive things about our experience the other night. Fantastic food, lovely atmosphere, brilliant live jazz being played, friendly service. And all felt very safe. We had a brilliant time and will definitely be back soon.

We enjoyed our evening meal but were surprised that the starter my partner chose was off the menu when there weren’t many to choose from in the first place and we were only the second table to be seated in the restaurant. I think the waiter should have explained that it wasn’t available when we ordered rather than coming back later to let us know. There was quite a long wait for the food to arrive. Breakfast was very good indeed and arrived more quickly than the previous evening. All in all the food was very good and of a high standard.

Been a few times recently and was really impressed. Booked for brunch with a friend. I ordered a latte, was given an Americano. Accepted it as thought maybe they couldn’t make latte but did advise I didn’t order an Americano. I ordered Bacon, spinach and Eggs. The bacon was streaky bacon and I don’t eat the fat on bacon and feel this should be written on the menu as I didn’t eat any of it. My eggs were extremely snotty, so I kindly asked if they wouldn’t mind just cooking them a bit more, she brought it back out and 1 was fine however 1 was still so snotty. I wouldn’t eat them this way usually however I am also 32 weeks pregnant. She didn’t ask how our food was so I didn’t really want to say and I’m not one to complain usually. I wonder if this was just an off day however I was really disappointed with my visit this time. I would still return however just felt I should express my disappointment.

We dined as a couple for a birthday celebration. The restaurant is split over two levels, the downstairs area feels like a restaurant but the upstairs area is just like sitting in a spare room. It’s obviously used as an overflow and the ambiance wasn’t the same. Our waiter was tentative although I had to ask 3 times for cutlery even after our first course arrived although drinks were served promptly throughout the meal. My husbands meal was the burger which he enjoyed and looked well presented but my dinner was really disappointing. I ordered the chicken dish which was extremely tiny, with the chicken portion being smaller than about half a normal breast. I had four very small turned potatoes and and artichoke that was two chewy to eat. Also the side portion I ordered of broccoli was also too tough to eat apart from the head pieces. So I was left really hungry after my meal, probably only having had 4/5 table spoons of food. To remedy that I ordered the cheese board as I do not eat dessert to find that although it was on the New menu it hadn’t started yet. So as we were staying at the hotel I went to bed hungry. So in conclusion would I eat there again probably not although my husband enjoyed his meal, mine was definitely under par and poor value. Again although the hotel room was beautiful and very clean. Tea bags, milk and toilet roll were missing and had to be requested which was completed by the time we returned from dinner but it was still lacking attention to detail for the cost of the experience.

Only concern was 2m social distancing was nit applied, the table next to.us should not have been used in order to comply with 2m requirement. This was disappointing and needs to be addressed or perspex screens putbin placecto be covid secure.

The music wasn't on for the majority if our dinner and as it was a quiet Sunday night this affected the ambience a bit but this was literally the only thing I could say that's a slight negative. Best pizzas we've ever eaten, super lovely staff and a great selection of drinks. Gorgeous place.

Lovely outdoor courtyard so very Covid secure. Good food. Service let things down. They didn’t listen to our orders so our meals were not exactly how we ordered. Quite slow too but we didn’t mind that as we were catching up with friends so were happy to chat between courses.

Joined a friend for lunch - both travelling a fair distance as the restaurant came highly recommended - my friend arrived early, was given menus and seated, then ignored for 30+ mins by the waiter. No drinks or anything offered. When we had waited a while longer to be acknowledged we found a waitress who immediately showed us to a table, brought some drinks over, and took our order, as by this time we’d had plenty of time to peruse the menu! The waiter delivered our meals without wearing any facial protection/mask and leant over me to place my friends food down. I had to move back in my chair to avoid him! When I quizzed him about being the only one not wearing a mask, he said it wasn’t necessary as he was outside but he would put one on if I wished. By which time it was obviously too late to stop him breathing over me and our meals!! There was also plenty of room for him to place both our meals down correctly as we were sitting in the middle of the dining terrace. The food was excellent and the waitresses were also proficient, so we paid the automatically applied service charge in full. However, especially in the current situation, better standards of customer care & service should be applied if this establishment hopes to retain its clientele.

Food was lovely but we had to wait over an hour . They apologised as the order slip was lost. When my order came it came with an additional dish that I didn’t order , so they took it away. The manager apologised and gave us free desserts . Would recommend the service to be quicker as we weren’t the only customers waiting .

Great location with the outdoor space etc, unfortunately too cold for us that day. It was a pity that the pizza cook was off - but we will check beforehand next time as there was no one to cover. Our table was rather in the corner near the kitchen so lots of coming and going - would pick a different table next time. Food was really good but would have liked more vegetarian options.

First time visiting and we would definitely return. The food was lovely and the atmosphere outside with the DJ was great. Even though it was a bit cooler out, blankets were provided, it was definitely worth sitting outside to enjoy the music!

Great location. The courtyard is the perfect location for a summers evening and the menu complements the location perfectly - fresh and seasonal ingredients. Service good overall, it can go a bit awry at times but this is overcome by the friendliness of the staff.

Fantastic food! So nice to have some good vegan options, and plenty of them. Only thing, a vegan dessert would of allowed us to stay and we would definitely of had another drink. So a vegan dessert would of meant we spent more. The service was friendly, and food came out really quickly.
