Wonderful dinner, space and hospitality. An interesting wine list and knowledgeable host. Very enjoyable.
My wife and I dined here during our trip to Scotland. We enjoyed the three course offering with the Scottish cheese selection in lieu of one of the deserts. The food was excellent being creatively prepared, delicious, and well presented. The ambience was low key and homelike in spite of the food quality and it was clear the focus was on the food and accompanying wine and not gratuitous pretentiousness. I would go out of my way to dine here again.
Three course prix fixe was fantastic. The first course was probably the best prepared salmon I ever had. Service is amazing. Highly recommend!
The food was fantastic. Although our note with Opentable that we were all gluten free wasn't passed along to the chef. Nevertheless, they tried to accommodate as best as possible.
We enjoyed our meal here but felt the menu didn’t do the food justice.
It’s hard to choose courses from such sparse descriptions. The food was great and we would go back.
The drinks list is the same - I ordered a gin and tonic which was described as just that and when it came it was a delightful Skye gin called The Misty Isle with a Scottish tonic. They could make more of that.
Overall a great experience.
We didn't realise how lucky we were to get a table at short notice. We all felt we enjoyed a meal of exceptional quality enhanced by the brilliant wine pairings. The subtle background music choices also went down very well! Couldn't recommend this gem of a restaurant more highly.
This restaurant provides a unique dining experience. Exceptional food creatively prepared and paired with wonderful wines, served by a genuine host in an old home creates an intimate and memorable evening out. It was a gastronomical highlight of our visit to Portree.
Make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment.
Excellent Evening, our dinner was absolutely wonderful. Our host, Simon ensured that we had a most pleasant & memorable dinner.
Thankyou Simon, Callum & the team!
This restaurant was wonderful. The cooking was so very creative and service was impeccable. We had a memorable dining experience. Reservations are a must.
Excellent friendly welcome. Gourmet style presentation. Simple menu descriptions don’t do justice to the actual dishes which were superb. Highly recommended.
Excellent food with innovative takes on flavours. The service is very friendly and attentive.
This is one of the best restaurants I have ever dined in. It is cosy snd welcoming, the front of house staff are professional, friendly and very knowledgeable, and the food is fabulous. It is a place I return to again and again.
Cosy, homey. Great food. Loved the tartare. Centrally located. Deserves a michelin star
Wonderful evening, wonderful food & service. Thank you,!
It was wonderful. A great restaurant! It couldn't be better.
Once again the food was excellent. Cooked with flair and imagination. Not a big fan of so called neuville cuisine but it works here. Fairly decent wine list but to fussy people like us it could do with improvement-eg more new world pinots eg from Oregon or California.
After spending 2 weeks in Scotland I can say without any hesitation that the meal at Scorrybreac was the very best I had on your lovely country. Having traveled quite a bit I would even say it rivaled meals in New York City, San Francisco and Paris. As a woman traveling alone it can sometimes be difficult to be served properly, but no such issue at Scorrybreac. They were attentive, kind and everything was timed perfectly. And the food was heavenly. When I come back to the Isle of Skye I will be sure to make reservations in advance of arrival as I am sure this restaurant will always be full.
Excellent meal, great service from Head Waiter (don't know his name, sorry) and Ryan, relaxed atmosphere and well looked after.
It was beautiful. Wonderful service and very creatively produced and presented meal . It was perfect.
I have been visiting this restaurant for the last few years while on Skye the service was as good as ever but I feel the overall quality of the food is not as good as on previous visits lacking the wow factor
Amazing service and food and lovely ambiance. Romantic and cosy. Probably one of the best meals I've ever had, would highly recommend the wine pairing as well! 3 courses was plenty. Would love to be able to come back someday.
While traveling from America to visit Scotland, what a wonderful dinner we had at Scorrybreac. We started with a perfect gin & tonic, then had the three course dinner with wine pairings for each. My starter was a venison tartare with mushrooms, followed by a pan seared bream, and then a lovely peach dessert. This place was a real jewel. Very glad we booked our reservation ahead.
Good quality food in a great relaxed cosy atmosphere. The portion sizes were a little small and as such the value for money, for my mind, wasnt quite there.
Booked this for our anniversary having read great reviews and we were not disappointed. This is not a restaurant to go to if you just want a good meal but one where you will have a culinary experience. Quality of food and presentation of dishes is superb, served by knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great for a special occassion.
Terrific tasting food with impeccable service and very friendly staff.
Amazing meal, definitely recommend!
Scorrybreac was great! The food was seasonal and beautifully cooked and presented.
Very limited menu and limited crustaceans on menu I.e no scallops, langoustines. All meals we two diners chose were over salted spoiling the tastes. Even the desert biscuit base for the meringue choice was salty ...
We were a party of 4 and all thought the food and overall experience at Scorrybreac was excellent.
Fabulous! The restaurant is very small and intimate. Great cuisine and setting. Highly recommend for a special occasion. Michelin rating in 2018.
Book well ahead, as it’s justifiably popular. I loved the wine pairings: well chosen for each dish. So much better than a long wine list, where both diners have to compromise and drink something less than ideal. More places should do this.
Amazing, a wonderful 6 course pairing on par with any Michelin location, bar none
Was supposed to be a very high end restaurant deserving of a Michelin Star and on the expensive side. We enjoyed it but didn’t feel it was as special as expected.
Dined in various locations in Skye- by far the best in terms of adventurous cooking and flavours..
Friendly staff, warm ambience and suprising hig quality dishes. Especially the starter with deer was truly amazing! Will definitively visit again.
Fantastic! Personal, professional, exceptional service, and menu. Chef is superb! Intimate (8 tables, so book in advance.)
We had a wonderful dinner at Scorrybreac last Saturday.
The place is very cozy, the people nice and friendly, the food absolutely delicious, in particular the main with Cod and the dessert with Douglas Fir (and the caramelised butter with homemade bread!)
We really appreciated everything. We would recommend Scorrybreac to everyone, it will worth it.
Absolutely stunning restaurant with food that matches any London restaurant.
Less formal than expected which was a pleasant surprise.
My wife is gluten intolerant and I had mentioned this when booking - they checked which of us was gluten free when we arrived and at every stage reassured her that what she was having was free of gluten. They even provided home made gluten free bread and adapted items for her rather than just leaving components out.
All in all one of the best dining experiences I have had, and I have been to a lot of big name restaurants.
My wife was so happy with the care they took over her dietary requirements and how they went beyond our expectations to ensure she could enjoy the menu as closely to me as possible.
Not a cheap slap up meal but worth every penny.
superb! One of the best meals I've ever experienced. Make reservations
exception quality of food.. Highly recommend. One of the better restaurants in scotland
