During Covid so ate on the sidewalk. Service was efficient, food good, a bit on the pricy side depending on what you order.
love this place! the sushi is amazing and the service is always great.
I travel out of state and I never miss a dinner at Seabutter when in town. Hands down the BEST sushi in LA. Always fresh and delicious. The staff is very kind and accommodating, I have never had an issue. You have to check this place out!
Great food. Very fresh fish. You can taste the quality
They use very high quality ingredients. Food is always amazing. This is my sushi go to spot. Highly recommend.
Amazing food relaxing
It was super cold & windy wish they had better table setup outdoor. Everything was flying around because of the wind. Food was great. Got cold very quick cuz even the heater didn’t really help the weather situation.
Doing what they can re outdoor seating but seemed severely understaffed—forgot water, soy sauce, etc
Great place beautiful owned with delicious food
Food was subpar. They gave us the wrong check when we asked for the bill and then returned the wrong credit card to us. Unprofessional.
Fabulous sushi. A must try is the “pressed sushi”. The citrus/tuna was my favorite. I also love the lo carb “Marilyn Monroll”. Who could not love a sushi roll named like that?
Experience was excellent. Food was insanely good. Our server Julie was incredible. Efficient and was able to offer so many good suggestions.
Been coming here since they opened, excellent quality sushi, would surely recommend. They have a unique list of special rolls that you will not see in other sushi places around - you always find something new on the menu, for example, I recently tried the lobster hand roll ! Bon appetite
Went for dinner. Fish was wonderful, service was good. Wish they had a roll out hedge or something to block all of the cars zooming past. Need more heaters also.
Can't really blame the ambience and noise level on the restaurant as we were seated outside due to covid season. Food was alright. My friend wasn't able to taste the flavors of the fish themselves and I thought the flavors were pretty light (for the fish themselves when eating sashimi/sushi) as well. I thought the light fish flavors worked really well in rolls though, as they had an overall light and balanced feel to them. The service was top notch.
Wanted sushi and didn’t have many options seeing as it was late on a Saturday night but I found Seabutter. I have driven past this place many times for a few years and finally stopped by to eat. Everything was GREAT, the only regret I have was not coming here sooner. Food was amazing, staff was great even in these times of COVID, they really did a great job!! I am happy to support local small businesses especially when they are this good and hit all the marks. Had good conversation with the staff and the owner as well. Glad to see a small business doing well. I highly suggest you go here for sushi!!! You will not be disappointed
June was such a great waiter. He was so attentive and friendly. The restaurant did their best with the outside setup and service was good. The Salmon truffle shashimi was so good that we had to have a second order.
The food quality was ok. The temperature of some of the sushi was not on...Very expensive meal for two people. Our server was so nice! The noise on Olympic was very prominent in our dining experience (I know there's a pandemic and they are making the best out of a bad situation, so it's not their fault).
Good amount of outside seating. Was a little loud on the street but not their fault. Food was delicious and unique. First time dining there and we agreed that we’d go back.
My friend recommended me to try Seabutter and we had an amazing dinner. The servers were all really kind and attentive, food was excellent, and all the tables had a good amount of distance between each other. If you’re a fan of sushi this is definitely one of the best places.
Best sushi in LA and the friendliest owners and staff
Love the outside seating and of course the food, as always
The food was great as usual but service was not the same as before. We went there for our anniversary dinner but nothing special on service.
Seabutter has mastered the Covid-19 pandemic. It was clean, servers were super polite, the food came out fast, and they crushed it on the variety and full menu availability. Absolutely smashed it! Will be back.
While the presentation was great, the quality of fish was extremely disappointing. None of the ordered items tasted fresh: ordered the salmon sampler, albacore, tuna belly, ikura. Albacore and tuna belly nigiri tasted horrible. Couldn’t even eat the 2nd piece of tuna belly.
Green tea mochi came with whipped cream all around it for some reason.
Service was good. That’s not enough for a return.
Great service, great food, worth the price. Will definitely be back
Highly recommend for their FOOD and service.
Neighborhood sushi restaurant, neither great or bad
Seabutter never disappoints. Even during COVID they didn’t miss a beat. They took appropriate precautions, including taking temperatures and spacing tables. Everything felt very safe. The food was excellent, as always. I have tried nearly everything on the menu. I suggest asking the chef to chose dishes for you. You won’t be disappointed. The price is perfectly on point by the way. Anyone who complains about the price of quality sushi should stick to reviewing revolving sushi.
This is a terrific neighborhood sushi place with kind staff and outdoors seating during the pandemic
This is one of our favorite sushi restaurants in Los Angeles. Excellent quality cuts and tasty creations as well
Inventive sushi that succeeded on balance
Delicious! I loved that they had carb-conscious sushi. Also tried their truffle oil sushi, and it basically melted as you ate it.
Great sushi.....price reasonable, fresh delicious and tasty. Dreaming about it still now. We dine in during covid, table are set apart on the sidewalk with another distance within each other. My new fav sushi place will definitely be back
Cars are loud on steet (relevant for outside only dining).
food is great.
prices are ok.
friendly service.
bus guy dropped soy sauce into my sake and ran away.
Service was good and so was the food : they had fresh uni most importantly , overall it was not a bad choice :
Great selection of sushi. The sashimi was done with unique twists to them, like flash fried crunchy onions on top. The Sexy Albacore was our favorite.
We ate outside on the sidewalk patio due to Covid, but it was still a nice vibe.
Sitting outside was so nice. They check your temperature, sit you 6 ft from others and sanitize everything. You feel very safe eating there.
The food was phenomenal as usual! I can’t say enough great things about this place!
Love their neighbors gem! The name says it all - sushi soo fresh, it’s like butter!
The sushi was very fresh and delicious and the the owners are extremely nice and welcoming!
We had a great night out after many months of isolating at home.
