Very nice place, got their early and it was nice to have a cocktail at bar before dinner- very inviting place
Wonderful staff. Service was tremendous! Food was delicious. I highly recommend.
Great service and food very consistent!!! The tuna appetizer and the RIbeye was fantastic!
Heard about the restaurant from my daughter and she was right on target. Wife and I thought it was great.
Perfect spot for date night! Service was excellent.
Staff is always welcoming. The clientele is a mix of hotel and local. The menu is accommodating to any price range, a unique feature. The more affordable items do not lack in quality. The drinks menu is also widely varied.
Our food and service were fantastic, it was one of the best meals we've had together.
My first experience at SEAR was amazing. The food was delicious and the service was great as well. We will definitely be back!
Our server was very accommodating. We were celebrating my moms birthday and he made it very special. We enjoyed several courses while we dined. Overall a very nice experience.
Sear never disappoints. Ate there first time visiting buffalo after my wedding. Visited again for anniversary and it was fantastic. even complimentary champagne. ❤
We were celebrating a birthday. They brought complimentary champagne as we were seated — with a card on the table for my son.
Service was excellent, food was amazing and the drinks were perfect.
Hello, Thank you so much for your kind words! We strive to deliver a stellar experience for our guests and we appreciate you letting us know that we were able to do exactly that for you! Best, Rochelle
We love the elegant, yet relaxed feel of this place. Because we were celebrating a special occasion, we were served complimentary champagne upon our arrival. The Steak tartare was wonderful, as was the rack of lamb and the ribeye steak. The service was exceptional! Will definitely return.
Horrible experience from start to finish . Rude wait staff , horrible table , right when you walk in with a direct view of the loudest group of drunk people at the bar. While the rest of the restaurant was empty . Then another drunk man , walks in , slams the door open, and is extremely loud . The rest of his party gets there , they are seated directly next to my table . He gets up to use the bathroom and falls flat on his face . Server was horrible and rude . I could not tell if he was nervous because we were lesbians or we were young . I still gave a 20% tip , regardless . Food was alright but nothing special , just over priced . The wine we wanted the bottle was out and when we ordered the waiter screamed we are out and did not offer any similar chooses. Dessert was phenomenal , would not recommend or go back . Next time when you’re thinking of going to sear , stop yourself and go to buffalo chop house . It has the best service and steak in Buffalo.
Very good food. Romantic setting. A little pricey but worth it.
Hi Holly, I am thrilled to see you enjoyed your experience at SEAR! Thank you for taking the time to rate us and we look forward to serving you again very soon! Best, Rochelle
Celebrated my fiancé birthday and read the reviews and I’m glad we went the food and customer service was beyond our expectations the waiter and his assistant made our evening worth every penny from the birthday card, champagne toast and birthday cake at the end that I requested and the waiter acknowledged my fiancé birthday every time he served or checked on us he was all on point. So thank you Sear for making this birthday which was our first one together a beautiful romantic memory.
Hi Sheila, Wow - thank you for such a kind review! I am thrilled to hear that we played a role in making your fiancés birthday a memorable one. I'll be sure to tell James, your server, how appreciative you are of the exceptional service he provided. We are always doing our best to make the guest experience special, so your feed back is very appreciated. Best, Rochelle
We told Sear it was our anniversary via Opentable when I made the reservation and we got fantastic treatment! A card, a free champagne toast!
The food and service was amazing! I highly recommend going for any occasion!
Sear has the best cuisine in town. It was busy yet you still felt well taken care of
Food and service was great as usual. I had requested a booth far away from the bar on OpenTable but somehow got listed for a high top by the bar! The hostess did accommodate us with a booth at the far end of the bar which was quite acceptable!
The service and recommendations i received from staff far exceeded all expectations. If anyone from the restaurant reads this, you're server David is the real deal.
WAYGU was good but not worth the money for the size. The service was wonderful. Desserts were nothing fabulous. Restaurant was overall good.
We had a late dinner reservation at Sear for Valentine’s Day. We were seated promptly when we checked in for our reservation. The restaurant is loud, but it was not impossible to have a conversation at our table.
Cai was our server for the evening. We started with a Whiskey Sour and a Strawberry Blonde Mule. Both drinks were great and came out quickly. Bread service followed immediately after. The bread was warm and buttery. A salsa verde dipping sauce was included with the bread. We found this very tasty.
We ordered an American Wagyu Ribeye to split, the Sear Burger, and the Steak Frites. Cai was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Cai I knew we were splitting the Wagyu, so he had the kitchen slice it and include tongs on the plate. This was great.
The food was excellent. The burger was the meatiest, juiciest burger I’ve ever had. The Steak Frites was great as well. The Wagyu was incredible and we tried to savor every bite.
We ordered the dessert special which was a red velvet, cheesecake, cookie combo meant for two. It was presented in the shape of a heart. It was plenty of dessert for two people (we really struggled to finish, haha). It was delicious.
At the end of the meal, we were treated to a heart shaped Oreo style cookie each. This was a nice surprise and a great way to top off the evening.
Vibe was great. It’s definitely a trendy place. I would recommend wearing business casual attire to dine here (I don’t think ties for men are necessary). Nice music- found ourselves hopping along in our seats.
Great evening. We were expecting slow service due to it being Valentine’s Day dinner service but this was not the case. We also never felt rushed. Cai (our server) was friendly and knowledgeable.
Highly recommend trying this place at least once. We won’t hesitate to return for a special occasion.
Took my wife there for valentine's day and we really enjoyed our time there. For our first time there it was amazing. We will be going back!
Steak came completely cold... waiter asked us to check to see if out meat was cooked correctly... asked this as he was walking away and did jot come back till quite a bit later. Even side dishes in cast iron were not even hot even though we were warned they were too hot to touch
Ambiance was nice however if it wasn’t such a special nite and did not want to disappoint my boyfriend... i would have sent the entire meal back.... definitely not worth the money other than the ambiance
Great Valentines Day dinner! Great atmosphere, comfortable music at reasonable volume and great service and staff!
Went there for dinner on Valentine's Day for the first time. We've usually gone to Russell's for great steak dinners so we thought we would check out Sear. The restaurant was busy but we had less than a 5 minute wait. Our server, Reba, was excellent. Very friendly & knowledgeable. Service was outstanding. We had both ordered one of their evening specials- Petite 6oz filet & 4 oz lobster tail. The food was good but my husband's filet- ordered rare- was ice cold. My food was lukewarm. He did send his back, I chose not to. We had also ordered a charcuterie board as an appetizer which was very good. For dessert we had another Valentine's Day special- some kind of chocolate/red velvet cookie thing which wasn't at all what we expected based on the description & it was not good at all. My husband ate it because he was still hungry... Overall the experience was good but maybe we'd try it again not on a holiday. The food just wasn't up to our expectations.
Great food but spotty. Service good but long intervals between visits. Waiter forgot a drink.
Went for Valentine's day, wore a shirt and tie but could have gotten away with a polo. Food was amazing! Cowboy Ribeye was the best Ribeye I've ever had. My fiance had the Filet and she said it was melt in your mouth. Brocolini was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were almost to good to be true. Definitely going again in the future!
Absolutely amazing. Service and food was 2nd to none. Will be going back as I really enjoyed myself
My first time at SEAR was for an early Valentine's dinner and I was very impressed. The food and service was great and the atmosphere wonderful. I got the NY strip medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. Prices are high but that's to be expected at a fine establishment! Great experience overall. Will be returning for future holidays and date nights.
Excellent food and service! Will definitely be back for dinner!
Our server Devin was the highlight of the dinner. He was attentive, welcoming, and genuine. The food was good, but not exceptional. The steak is why you're there, and it is fantastic, but the rest was average. The price is on point for what you would expect at this type of establishment, and the steaks were, I thought, a great value for the quality of the meat, and they were cooked perfectly.
Our Server, Reba, was excellent and knew the menu very well. Food was an average higher end price for Buffalo on smaller portions. Appetizers were excellent, sides were also good (creamed corn was fantastic) and main course... steaks, lamb chops, showed up luke warm but was no problem to send back for a re-heat. With Med Rare its always tough to have it warm at the table so that can be overlooked as quality was very good. Only recommendation would be an available table light or lighter background menu. Most of our party had difficulty reading the black print on tan menu in darker surroundings. Ambience is excellent, but change your menu background for older patrons or offer a small light to read by. Have been to Sear several times and it doesn't disappoint if you're looking to spend a few bucks I'd rate it as one of the top 5 in Buffalo.
Delicious food, being a hotel bar/restaurant hurts it's ambiance.
Staff well trained
Food was great and service impeccable. Sat in a comfortable booth. Porterhouse was picture perfect.
Steaks are tough and the lobster Mac and cheese was worse than boxed Kraft. Not a representation of the culinary scene in Buffalo and should only fool the incomers of the hotel.
Supreme service, very attentive to details. Food was great and perfect the first time. No complaints other than the music was a little overbearing but tolerable.
The service & food absolutely amazing. Thank you very much. We had a nice time.
Jacob at the bar and Heather our server were Absolutely Amazing!!!!!!
Always a pleasure coming in!!!!!
