Seasons is not your traditional a la carte restaurant and looks to expand the culinary horizons of our customers. When you sit down to your table you will be presented with a list of the finest seasonal ingredients. Wine & food are a match made in heaven, we truly live and breath the European ethos of every dish should be paired to wine/cocktail/beer. You may join us in our Speak Easy bar below the restaurant for a drink before or after your meal.

In comparison to other similar tasting menu restaurants in Edinburgh, for the price of the menu there was not a lot of value for money.
Perfect! Good and interesting food
Made welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we left
We had the 5 course tasting menu and it was lovely
Would highly recommend
This is my third time to Seasons. The 7 course tasting menu is excellent, interesting and great value. The concept is somewhat different in that you only know the list of ingredients and then each course is effectively a surprise. But always a pleasant surprise! We asked for a pescatarian menu and were delivered a delightful variety of dishes. The tempura oyster was especially succulent and memorable, the marshmallow amouse bouche was fun, the scallops were excellent as was the hake, whilst desert was various textures of rhubarb. The menu changes (or should I say the list of ingredients) at least every 6 weeks and reflects seasonal availability. Personally I enjoy the surprise and variety that is served up. The restaurant is quite cosy but the tables are well spaced and the service is attentive with the waiters good at explaining each dish.
The whole occasion was faultless. Excellent food, wine and service made for a perfect meal
We have been to Seasons on a number of occasions, always very impressed. Food is excellent, service good with very helpful waiting staff, and good value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Fantastic quality of food and lovely wine pairings to go with it, staff very knowledgeable talking us through each dish and wine pairing and very reasonably priced for the quality. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Decor is perfect for the environment we felt very comfortable and relaxed. Would definitely go again!
The restaurant was quiet but the service was quite slow. The food was very tasty but the portions are small so, if I went again, I would opt for the tasting menu
Very special restaurant. The staff were on point - professional yet friendly, attentive but not intrusive. The 7-course tasting menu with wines was exquisite, but of course a high quality meal does come with a high price tag. I'd definitely go again and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a modern, fresh and not at all stuffy fine dining experience.
Wow - what an amazing evening - we chose the 7 course tasting menu with pairings - definitely worth the pairings they were superb. A wonderful atmosphere and fabulous food.
This place and the whole experience was fantastic. So sad to see it go.
Very, very poor service. Apparently short staffed and busy downstairs. Had to find our wine bottle & water bottle to pour ourselves. At least 1/2 hour between 5 course tasting menu which lacked quantity & was bland in taste. Very disappointed indeed. Won't be rushing back.
Very good little find. Late booking on a busy weekend. Each course was very well made and interseting. Wine parings were mostly spot in- chocolate a difficult one.
Will look forward to returning for a new seasons tasting.
I believe they had just reopened after some work. It seemed some later dinners were having service problems (freeing tables) on the night we went.
We were the only people in - it’s a fab place decor wise - lacked ambience as we were alone. No choice on menu - had to ask for vegetarian option. Not able to make cocktails - altho great bar downstairs. Unfortunately wdnt rush back. Maybe better in evening when more diners and more choice.
Innovative menu, all5 dishes on the tasting menu good to very good /excellent, and the portions well judged. Service also well judged not intrusive with good timing between courses. Only negative for a special occasion venue is the rather limited wine list.
8 of us enjoyed a Birthday celebration lunch. Everyone loved the food, wines and excellent service.
Fantastic dining experience. The food was delicious and gorgeous, presented beautifully without sacrificing taste. A true delight for the tastebuds. Ambiance is cozy, lovely, and intimate. Service was impeccable, gracious and informative about the courses without being overbearing. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a memorable meal.
We wanted something special to celebrate our daughter starting at Edinburgh University. The seasonal food and the paired wines were exceptional, in a stylish but refreshingly unstuffy setting. Our daughter said it was the most amazing food she’d ever had. We’d definitely recommend it.
Splendid meal at Seasons again. Fantastic, fresh, seasonal tasting menu and imaginative drinks pairings. Great service and nice atmosphere.
Staff were very enthusiastic
Seasons was fantastic, excellent staff with good knowledge of the innovative menu. Paired wines were wonderful. The cocktail bar below is also well worth a visit.
Some lovely touches and clearly a kitchen that is trying very hard to please , but a couple of amateur mistakes that , if sorted, would makes Seasons a very fine establishment.
Make sure your wine supplier doesn’t let you down, stock more than one bottle of champagne at Christmas time, and you’ll be onto a winner!
Certainly a nice place that deserves to be busier and to have a posse of supporters.
Charming dining experience and one to repeat. A warm atmosphere, great food, interesting wine choices and enthusiastic friendly staff (if a little unpolished). We had a 3 course & glass champagne in December and this was good value. Don’t know how that compares to their usual 7 course tasting menu.
Excellent 5-course tasting menu- really tasty & could not be faulted. Particularly nice that the two chefs came out to present some of their dishes. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Exceptional service and food. Every course a pleasure. Extremely talented chefs cooking with fresh seasonal food. Creative, delicious and beautifully presented. Lovely, intimate restaurant.
Had the 7 course tasting menu (chose a pesactarian option). The service was excellent - attentive but not obtrusive. Staff explained all the fabulous dishes with detail and enthusiasm. Found each dish to be a culinary surprise and I would say that for the price the quality was outstanding. Fresh ingredients abound and the idea of not having a fully descriptive menu makes each dish interesting and different. Hard to fault the service and having previously had the 5 course menu I can heartily recommend this establishment. Long may they flourish and I wish them every success. I look forward to coming back again when I visit Edinburgh again. Compared to London prices and given the standard it very impressive.
Great relaxed meal staff very responsive and knowledgeable.Food was excellent and very tasty.
All of us thoroughly enjoyed it and would totally recommend
A superb dining experience from beginning to end. Waiters were both knowledgeable and friendly. I have already recommended this restaurant to my son and a good friend, both foodies.
I'll be back!!!!
PS....food excellent with added bonus of delicious homemade sourdough breads with absolutely divine butter......
We met friends for Sunday lunch. The staff were very attentive & suggested we try the 4course surprise menu. They catered for each person's likes & dislikes & recommended appropriate wines to accompany it. There were no left overs and we all enjoyed it & agreed we would return.
Unfotunately this place seems to be a very well kept secret otherwise there surely would have been more people there .
Amazing combination of ingredients, really tasty food, professional staff.. it was a perfect dinner.. thanks Jeffrey and Antonio..best of luck with the new projects
This was our first visit to Seasons. Its just around the corner from where we live, so that was certainly a bonus. The service was very good and we really liked that the chef came out and explained the dishes to us. I was accommodated with changes to the 5 course tasting menu, since I don’t eat red meat and everything I had was very good and elegantly presented. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed our food and wine very much. I would definitely come to Seasons again.
We had the three course Christmas menu (although it came with a few additions!) the food was absolutely delicious and the service was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely little restaurant, cosy atmosphere. We took the five course taster menu which was very nice, every course was explained as it was served. The waiter asked before we started if there were any dietary requirements. I would recommend this for a nice change from the normal three course choice of menu.
This is an EXTREMELY good place to eat.
We had the full 7-course tasting menu with matching wines.
The food arrived exactly at the right time, there was no rush but also no long waits.
IT WAS DELICIOUS!
Portion sizes of food and wine were perfect for a 7-course meal.
The waiting staff were engaging and very knowledgeable about the dishes.
The sommelier REALLY knows his wine, and did a superb job.
We had a magical experience in what is a young, happening restaurant.
Phenomenal 5 course tasting menu paired with wine, no menu just a list of ingredients chef will use. Food was absolutely extraordinary, wines superb and faultless and knowledgeable service. Can't rate this experience highly enough.
Great food! Great service would definitely recommend and go back!
The food was very tasty, but not quite as adventurous as it has been on previous visits which was a shame. Great service though.
Generally an outstanding experience. Sadly we were the only customers on a late November Friday lunchtime although we were reassured to hear that they were due to be busy later that day and over the weekend. We were seated at a table in the front section of the restaurant in the window. I can understand why but perhaps not the most comfortable area. The main seating area in the rear looks much nicer. Never mind. The food. The bread and home made butter was excellent quality. The starters were the low point of the meal....neither hit the mark. Had to have mushrooms removed from one starter - an allergy - and this was after reminding the waiting staff that we had informed them when booking. A pity. From that point on it was very positive. We had opted for the paired wines and they all proved to be good matches for the food. My highlight was a delicious cod dish featuring pan fried purple potatoes, no risk of style over substance here. Wonderful balance of flavours and textures, the lemon gel provided an interesting and worthwhile contrast.
I felt the meal was real value for money and they clearly have chefs in the kitchen who have a clear view of what they are trying to achieve.
Absolutely splendid lunch at Seasons. Amazingly fresh, healthy food beautifully paired with wines and very well presented.
Was very good and have recommended to others and will be back. Good value at lunch time. Well looked after by the staff.
