Great local food, beautifully cooked. Recommended.
Just fabulous food! We really treated ourselves and was well worth it! The crab starter was amazing, the staff super friendly, would highly recommend if you want to splash the cash and treat yourself
Wonderful service, excellent food, beautiful setting. The garden outside was fabulous!
Very friendly reception and service. The scallops were absolutely lush. Small very interesting wine list.
This is our very favourite dining experience. We are ‘townies’ and when I come to the Borders to visit my sister we wouldn’t miss having lunch/dinner here. The fish pie is to die for!
Booking for a table during the Borders Book festival was always going to be a testing time, and so it proved with some long waits to take our order and serve our soup, but fully understandable in a full restaurant on a very busy evening. We would go back, hopefully at a less busy time and enjoy the delicious food served here.
Superb food, fabulous service, lovely attention to detail, local and exceptional.
Our third visit and just as good as last year
Fish pie excellent without the usual topping if heavy potato which here came separately
Very welcoming friendly and helpful service. Stayed as long as we wanted without being hurried. The menu and standard of food was superb, will most definitely go again!
This is a little gem, the food was lovely, well prepared and presented with a good selection of wines to choose from.
Staff were friendly and attentive well looked after without being over powering a good balance.
We all had a great evening. My seafood pie was outstanding.
A real gem of a place. Using local produce this restaurant produces wonderful food.
We went there as a pensioner couple to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was just what we were looking for. Good food - and champagne - friendly and efficient service and quiet.
As the only diners in the restaurant we had the full attention of the serving staff, who was helpful and cheerful. The food was fresh, well presented and very tasty. It was a bleak day outside and the restaurant felt cold. We'd like to visit again when there were other diners as this would likely have improved the ambience.
Second time I have been here and it is always 5 stars. Will be back
Lovely quiet restaurant. Friendly service and food was amazing
Very enjoyable. Friendly and efficient service. Great menu and nice buzz about the place without it being too noisy.
Great food and very welcoming. We will definitely be back and have already recommended to others.
Very good. Attentive staff and good food. Venison was excellent. Highly recommended.
Food here is of high quality, locally sourced, it's quite expensive fillet steak @£30 each but they were delicious! Chairs are very hard, and cushions need replacing, they are not the most comfortable: they are still the originals from "Chapters" and were never comfortable then!. Wine as suggested "of the week" was lovely. It was a delightful Valentine's evening. Thank you! Overall meal for 2 was around £120, which is not cheap, but it was very good, so we don't mind paying for good quality and service.
Excellent dinner. Great choices on menu and so nice to read where and who supplies the restaurant which shows care as well as support for local producers. And even though it was New Years eve it was the normal menu running which we appreciated. Lovely front of house team. Will definately be back when next staying in Melrose.
We eat regularly at Seasons & are NEVER disappointed. Food is always delicious & would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Roger & Bea deserve your support.
Very pleasant evening with good food. This was a birthday celebration and with this coming so close to Christmas (Dec 14) it is always a lottery trying to go out for a quiet meal for two. Our evening was slightly marred by being placed next to a large rather lively office party. Given the restaurant only had 4 other customers being seated here seemed rather unnecessary and somewhat spoiled our otherwise enjoyable evening.
Good food well presented. Nice ambiance. Value for money.
Really good, I mean really good. Everything was just really good. It shows that passion for food, good ingredients and a desire for high professional standards can be achieved. The owners here are hands on and do it in their stride, they must be the envy of many chefs and restaurateurs.
Highly recommenced . We drove quite a distance, it took us about 1 1/2 hours driving , our journey was based on the web site description of good food, and it was true , it was all spot on . It was worth driving 2 x the distance we did , you will be very pleased you did.
Great food and service with a focus on local produce, first class
This was a lovely Sunday evening, best steak I have ever had! The restaurant had a lovely cozy welcoming feel and the food was delicious. Service was great and made most welcome on a cold night! They had a great selection of wines and the menu was very seasonal yet a great selection to choose from. I didn't have any dietary requirements but I'm sure they would be able to accommodate alternatives.
A superb restaurant with a good variety of locally sourced produce
We have returned to Seasons for the last three years when staying nearby. The quality of the cooking is exceptional and the service faultless.
OUTSTANDING AS ALWAYS-FOOD VERY GOOD, AND SERVICE EXCELLENT
As regular visitors to lovely Melrose over the past 3 years we have eaten in nearly all the local restaurants in town - including, on our most recent trip, the newest. We can confidently say that Seasons is still, consistently, the pick of the lot. The combination of Roger's fine cooking of best local produce, Bea's friendly, unintrusive service and the understated convivial surroundings all make for the ideal dining experience. Long may Seasons keep up the great work !!
Fantastic meal. Loved every bit. Can’t wait to go back again.
Fantastic dinner would recommend the fillet steak 👌🏻 The service was also so welcoming and friendly.
If this were our local restaurant we’d dine weekly! The welcome is friendly, the service attentive but relaxed and the food is excellent with judicious use of local and seasonal ingredients. The wine initially looks a bit limited but is quite imaginative and there should be a wine for just about all tastes. Finally, and best of all, great value!
Delicious, seasonal menu- so tasty. Gluten free choices for most starters and mains.
We very much enjoyed our recent visit to Seasons. A warm welcome from all the staff and shown to our table without delay. An interesting menu with a varied choice, something for everyone I think. The food was well presented and we will not hesitate to return to Seasons before too long.
Great food in a quiet village. Off the beaten track but well worth the drive.
There was no atmosphere with few customers. The meal was average and the beer selection poor. We will not be returning any time soon.
Seasons is a gem of a restaurant, which we will be visiting more often. Bea was a lovely host and we really enjoyed Rogers fine food. We’ll be back.
Excellent and very tasty food and a little bit different. Eggs with chantarelles and truffle oil were just fantastic as was the Roe Deer. Sirloin Steak very tasty and perfectly cooked. Loved the bread served, the "carafe" of wine rather than a bottle and the choice of sweets. All in all a great night of dining.
