Our imaginative menus feature delicious fresh produce from handpicked local suppliers which genuinely reflect the best ingredients that are available throughout the changing seasons.
Bringing you the real flavours of Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
Once again enjoyed a very pleasant experience at Seasons.
An interesting visit to Seasons. Pleasant ambience with a warm welcome from the owner our waitress however was non communicative, seemed very shy. The service was well paced and attentive. Creative menu with great seasonal choice.
The crab starter contained very little crab and far too much sauce, disappointing. The medley of beetroot was divine! The roe deer although requested 'medium' was too rare to be fully enjoyed. Side of vegetables were very tasty but hard to serve under a generous serving of creamed potato..... would have been better placed in a dish side by side. Did the fish pie have prawns in?? I think I found one. Creamy sauce very smooth.
high quality hot food with excellent friendly service
Lovely meal on a quiet Saturday night. Food was fab and service friendly x
Can highly recommend from start to finish experience was first class. A relaxed quality dining experience. Great to know all the ingredients are local and of high quality. Even the house wine although not local! was excellent.
Not the first time I have been here and I can highly recommend it. The value for money of the set menu is second to none. The food choice is wide. This time I had the scallops as a starter - big, juicy and delicious. We also got the recipe for their soda bread, which i have subsequently successfully made myself. I'll be back1
Consistent in always offering first class and locally sourced dishes.
Always a joy to eat here.
The second time we have visited Seasons and we were not disappointed. It will not be long before we return again. A restaurant that will not disappoint.
Fantastic food, atmosphere & service. Will definitely be back & would highly recommend.
Roger and Bea run a very successful restaurant using local products and consistently provide food to a very high standard. The scallops were done in a cheese and leek sauce followed by venison medium rare which was melt in the mouth perfection. The chocolate tart to finish was sublime. If you are anywhere in the Scottish Borders this is the must come to restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
We have dined here a few times now and we have never been disappointed. The food is consistently very good. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. This is definately the best place to eat in the Scottish Borders
Always an very enjoyable experience. Excellent food in comfortable relaxed environment.
First time we visited this restaurant and it won’t be the last. Food was quality and delicious. The service was first class. We came away feeling really good and have no reservation about recommending this restaurant. Looking forward to a return to try more of a very interesting menu.
We love Seasons for our family get-togethers . We have never had a meal that was anything less than delicious and beautifully presented. The fish pie is to die for!!!
An excellent evening. Superb fresh local food, very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and a very commendable 'wine of the week'
Lovely laid back restaurant with fabulous food, great value for money in a quiet village in the Scottish Borders.
Perfect meal, surroundings and service. As always!
What a wonderful find run by two wonderfully gifted people! While the cuisine is of Michelin standard, the place itself is laid back, unassuming and filled with warm hospitality!
Night out with my hubby while on holiday. It was lovely’.
Both the food and the service were outstanding. The restaurant itself has a lovelly warm and inviting atmosphere.
This is a regular restaurant we come to and it is one of the best in the Borders. The food is regularly of a high standard and the emphasis on local produce, means high quality food every time we have been.
Rodger is an inventive imaginative chef who obviously cares about his food and how it is presented. The local venison is always very tasty and melts in your mouth. The fish dishes are also to die for and if you venture to the desserts you always find something that excels.
A consistently very good restaurant. The front of house staff are all efficient and friendly and all this adds up to the best restaurant in the Scottish Borders.
Lovely family feeling
Party of 4 and we all enjoyed. The service was good and very professional. Food imaginative and well presented except my sole was a tad overcooked and the gnocchi was a little dense.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and lots of attention to detail.
This restaurant is consistently fantastic. We loved everything we ate and left nothing. The restaurant does what it says in the name seasonal local food. The hospitality is faultless.
Our second meal here and standards were maintained. Interesting menu mainly using local ingredients. Well prepared and clearly freshly cooked, and delicious. The wine list is a little limited but there are some good choices. The owners are to be congratulated on running a lovely restaurant, shame we are visitors not locals!
We were given a recommendation by our host at a nearby Country Guest House, we had a look at the Website and it was impressive to see the chain of local suppliers who provide such quality products.
The Welcome on arrival was friendly, and the atmosphere is quiet and intimate, service is prompt under the control of Bea who was pleased to make sure we had all we required.
We enjoyed the food chosen, Roger who is Chef prepared everything perfectly.
We had a three night stay in the area, and chose to dine here each evening, the quality never changed each and every time, the establishment is in a quiet village where parking is not a problem.
Without hesitation we would go there again. Thank you Bea & Roger(& team)
Delivers on the local produce with a good variety in season and well cooked. Good wine list but could do with updating the glassware
Fresh, local ingredients from quality suppliers and a dedicated husband and wife team combine to make this a place for that special occasion.
Second visit to Seasons; as great as the first. Lovely food - including the best bread and butter side ever - and a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely go back.
Lunch was lovey. Will definitely book for an evening meal to try that menu
Not our first visit and will not be our last!! Special place.
Fabulous, the staff were great, the chef couldn’t have done more to cater for us the whole experience was brilliant. The food was incredible, we will definitely be back.
Our annual trip to the Borders always includes a visit to Seasons and it never disappoints. The food is local, imaginative and very tasty. Bea is superb as front of house and Roger is an excellent chef. A winning combination. We are staying longer this year so will be able to have lunch twice.
Food and service excellent. Only niggle was the chairs which have metal backs and are very uncomfortable which spoilt the enjoyment of the food somewhat. Cushions would solve it easily if new chairs not an option.
Exceptional food. Lovingly prepared and served by this husband and wife team. Highly recommend. All local ingredients. Great flavors.
Really clever for that is fresh and interesting, served with care and attention without being over-present. A real find.
A fantastic meal in relaxed style restaurant. The menu was interesting and had something for everyone - all beautifully fresh ingredients and well cooked. It's clearly a well loved place so was very busy but our host made sure we enjoyed our meal.
I have eaten here on many occasions and is always a delicious meal and wonderful experience. I would highly recommend!
Fantastic food, with a real focus on locally sourced produce - even have pictures of some of the suppliers on the walls (nice touch). It is at the higher end price wise against other restaurants so Id say perfect for a special occasion or treat.
Very good meal but the triple cooked chips were disappointing. Maris piper may have been a better potato choice
