Seasons of Bowness Park
My favorite spring/summer/fall restaurant! If there was a fireplace inside it would probably be my favorite winter restaurant.
Location and view was amazing! Food was phenomenal. Will def be back on a regular basis!
Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments. We are so happy you enjoyed yourself while visiting us and we definitely look forward to seeing you regularly around Seasons. We're open year round and each season has it's own beauty down here in the park! We look forward to seeing you again.
Very much appreciated the care given to keep guests safe. Very attentive staff. Great food.
Hi Tim, Thanks for the comments. Keeping our guests and staff safe during these challenging times while maintaining our usual standards of excellence was our main objective during our re-opening and beyond. Thank you for trusting us to do just that. We look forward to seeing you again.
They did a great job with the COVID precautions. We had a great brunch. Thanks!
Thanks for the review, we appreciate it. We look forward to seeing you again.
Pleasant food in a lovely location. All staff are professional and friendly. I was happy to enjoy their hospitality in these challenging time’s.
Thank you for trusting us to offer you that professional and friendly service! We look forward to seeing you again.
Magic place surrounded by a beautiful lake. Food delicious and very well presented. Great service!
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're happy you enjoyed your time with us and we will definitely look forward to seeing you again.
Limited menu was not good. Food potions were extremely small.
I ordered the watermelon salad and paid $16 for 3 small Cubs if watermelon and 3 sprigs of lettuce.
Thanks for the feed back, we appreciate it. We made a decision to re-open with a relatively small menu in an effort to keep everything fresh amidst all the uncertainty. Our kitchen has done a wonderful job of covering most areas of interest for diners. The watermelon salad with arugula, feta cheese, kalamata olives & mint is a popular item, particularly on the patio on warm days. I'll verify the portion size with the kitchen to make sure it is still going to the table as costed.
Good variety of food & drink.
Good value. Four different orders, all served as ordered and delicious.
Wonderful dining experience!
Thank you! Your review is really appreciated. We look forward to seeing you again.
Have always enjoyed going to Seasons and our waitress was very good however another woman which could possibly have been the manager ( not really sure ) was not very accommodating even though we were the only customers there and requested a table that would ensure we could social distance properly she made it a very uncomfortable and unpleasant exchange we were ready to leave when our waitress rescued the situation and because of her we were able to have a pleasant experience
Hi Ellen, Thanks for your feedback, we appreciate your comments. I 'm sorry you feel your needs weren't being met yesterday during your visit. As explained, our tables have all been measured and placed minimum 6 ft apart as per government regulations. Unfortunately, moving our patio tables was not something we were able to accommodate. I'm glad your server was able to set you and your lunch companion up at the large table on the patio so you could remain 6 feet apart from one another.
I should have looked at the price for coffee before getting a second pot. But it was delicious.
Thanks for the comments Kathryn, we really appreciate the feedback. We use Phil & Sebastian coffee in our french press, always trying to support local whenever possible. I agree, it is so good that sometimes you just can't help but have the 2nd press! Glad you enjoyed it and we look forward to seeing you again.
Excellent reintroduction to the new reality!! Well done!
Thanks! It was certainly not without a lot of thought and a bit of nervousness. Glad we did not disappoint! Thank you for your support and we definitely look forward to seeing you again at Seasons of Bowness Park
A nice meal in a beautiful spot! We were there on opening day after the 2-month closure and it was a most pleasant experience. We had friendly relaxed service and enjoyed watching all the activity just outside in Bowness Park. We'll definitely make a return visit.
Thank you for the kind words. So happy you joined us on our re-opening. It was a wonderful day with some regulars and a few "new" regulars. We look forward to seeing you again.
We went there for our recent anniversary. With all the unease about the Covid-19 pandemic, we were looking for something quieter. The Friday we went was very cold with recent snow which also kept people inside. We shared the restaurant with one other couple. With the new snow and lights on the trees around the lagoon, it was very pretty and relaxed. Our server was attentive but not over the top, food was excellent, wine was great as was dessert. We had a very enjoyable evening which was the just the thing in these unusual times.
It’s a very nice location. Bright and welcoming!
The service was great and our food was delicious!
Beautiful setting, attentive and personable service, delicious food, relaxing atmosphere. Sunday evening was quiet.
My husband ordered the Special - Rack of Lamb and he said that it was very good! I had the tenderloin which was also very good! Fun to look out at skaters! Etc!
We will return!
Sadly although the service was friendly, the food was sub par, chicken underdone with rubbery skin, cold lamb, meal took more than an hour to come from the kitchen. Beautiful location, food could improve.
Great meal. Great ambiance. Great service. Beautiful setting. Lightning could be dimmed a bit. One of our faves.
We had the French onion soup. It was quite good. Also had the beet and kale salad and the artichoke salad. We were recommended to add protein to our salads since we were having them as a meal. It cost $9 each to add chicken or salmon. That was quite expensive. Other than that, it’s a cute place to go on a date and the service was great. Overall we felt that the price $85 for 2 soups and 2 salads was quite steep. Probably won’t be back but thats completely based on the price.
Seasons is a beautiful location and the environment is stunning. BUT....the menu could be so much better.
People are generally looking for quality good tasting food but good value. The portions here are small, they are over priced, and the taste of the food isn’t fantastic. My Quiche was fishy smelling, 😏there was little taste and I wouldn’t order it again.
Bring in good quality food for brunch, lunch and supper that taste fantastic and leave you coming back for more. People want good food that tastes amazing. They will pay for it if the portions and quality is there. This place just Hasn’t been able to deliver. I keep going back because the space and service are fantastic but if the food doesn’t improve it might be my last!!!
Good value and better than average food. Great ambience with fires outside and pairs well with skating.
We made a reservation here for Valentine’s Day, and as our first visit here this was a great impression! Our waiter was excellent, and the food was amazing. Will definitely return here. We were able to go skating on the lagoon before dinner which was also beautiful!
Food was delicious! Best salmon ever! Service was very professional. We had a nice time.
Food was extremely overpriced for the quality, not to mentioned extremely small portions
The ambiance and location was great. But the food was mediocre at best and they charged $3 for a tablespoon of jam. Extremely over priced for what it was.
It’s a lovely restaurant. Windows all around to view the park and the skating pond. The food is fresh and delicious! It’s one of my favorite restaurants in calgary
Beautiful dinner and service was exceptional. The arancini and beet salad were delightful. Capped off by lamb shank and Quattro Leches cake made this a meal to remember.
Seasons of Bowness Park is truly a place to come at any Season of the year! It has a very quaint atmosphere inside the restaurant with wonderful views of the pond. We all felt very special as our waitress was very attentive yet not bothersome. Thank you! I really like the food and selection offered. There really is something for every appetite. I recommended the chicken pot pie to my lunch companions. Now they don't have the biggest of appetites, but they ate the whole Chicken pot pie! I would truly recommend the truffle fries....Mmmmm.
Calgary gem. Great ambiance and good food. Patio enjoyable in the Summer.
It was good but the menu wasn’t extensive enough. I don’t think I’d go back. What they did have was good and looked yummy just not enough choices.
Nice setting and food was great! Appreciated our waitress going to the cafe to bring hot chocolate.
We were highly impressed by the food presentation, and we will surely return.
Service and food was exquisite
We love to dine at Seasons of Bowness Park. It's like a slightly scaled down (less snooty) River Cafe :-) The food is excellent, as is the service and the ambience. The music they pipe in is perfect for a romantic date. It's a very relaxed place. We love the charcuterie board, the lamb, the chicken dishes. Have never had a bad meal there. We find it slightly pricey, but worth it. The only negative I can think of is that the dessert was pretty skimpy for the price. But very tasty. Perhaps they said to themselves: she doesn't need dessert!
Amazing intimate experience! Went for my birthday, with two kids, inlaws, and grandparent. We went skating before dusk, the trees were lined with twinkling lights, and we warmed up by the outdoor firepits.
We then had happy hour drinks, leading to an incredible dinner. We were thrilled with our meals, the wine was terrific, beer on tap was superb. Would highly recommend the restaurant. A hidden gem, with a multi-season appeal.
The food and the service was extraordinarily good. The view from the restaurant overlooking the skating area and the lighted trees in the park was outstanding. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!
Seasons of Bowness never disappoints...amazing cocktails (the cranberry Moscow mule is the best around!) and delicious food. If you love French onion soup then you have to try theirs, so, so good!!
The star is for the view and the dessert. The food was too expensive and portions were very small for the price tag. We asked for medium well steaks but got medium rare steaks. They did not even offer to reduce the bill. They actually over charged us, but we were so tired of complaining that we just paid and left. Loud annoying disco music on top of all these. Overall very bad experience. Definitely the first and last time visiting this place.
Hi Sean, Thanks for the feedback. We try our best to accommodate all requests and to assure all guests have a wonderful experience at Seasons. I'm sorry to hear you feel we fell short of this. I believe my team at Seasons went above and beyond to accommodate you during your visit with us on New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately OpenTable only allows a maximum of 500 characters for my reply. I addressed all your concerns in the review you left on google. Again, thank you for the feedback.
Such a wonderful little gem of a restaurant! The service, ambiance and decor were outstanding. The food was very good but the desserts were a little disappointing as everything else was so great.
The location and setting would be perfect in any season and I look forward to my next visit. Overall I would give Seasons of Bowness Park 4.5 ⭐️ out of 5.
Winter wonderland yesterday.!skaters of all ages on the lagoon. Sun on snow, warm temperature in the restaurant, friendly server. My fish and chips were delicious and a very generous portion. My friend's steak and eggs equally good. Great place all around!
