For Greek food not good at all. It’s over price . There no beers, no sodas . Save your money and go to a real Greek restaurant!! Very very small. It’s suck it. Very very salty food . I will never go again
Made a reservation for Friday night at 6pm. There was nobody so it was confusing. Perhaps this place is not good? But my gear disappeared 1 hour later when the restaurant got packed! My friends were late so we sat down around 6:30. The bartender was very nice and attentive while I waited for my friends. Once in our seats, we ordered happy hour wine and food. My favorite was the calamari and soup. The beans were good too. I didnt like the meatball or the pork sausage because it felt dry. We sat next to the TV so we had the music next to us but we liked it. When the volume was too loud, they lowered it a bit. I liked the music. It was in a different language. The server was nice and attentive. Overall everyone was nice. The dining area is small so it's only good for small number of groups. Max 4 at a time I would say. There was a group of 8 who took up a big chunk of the restaurant in my mind.
The food was good, but the service left much to be desired. Not everything was available towards the beginning of the night and there were waits of over 40 mins between ordering and receiving relatively short turnaround items (drinks, apps, etc.)
I'm wondering if we just were there on an off night because we had overall lackluster service, but the food was great. We had an 8pm reservation, and we arrived, we were informed that they gave up our reservation because they called to confirm the reservation, but we never called them back to confirm the reservation. Yet the voicemail left did not state they'd give up our reservation if the call was not returned. They were able seat us about 20 minutes later anyways, however, service was slow, the kitchen ran out of 2 items we ordered, and 2 additional items ordered never came (which only was taken off the bill once we asked). The food that did come was great. We did the individual menu (not pre fix) and the portions were large. 2 plates per person was perfect.
Run, do not walk away from this place. I would leave a review for the food, but that would require me actually receiving food.
I made a reservation for 2 on a Friday at 8 PM and upon arriving on time the hostess politely told us that they were having problems with their reservation system and asked if we could wait 15 minutes. No problem. We decided to get a drink downstairs at Sakerum's bar. My wife ordered one of the drinks on the cocktail list, but they informed her that they were out of fig to make the drink. Instead she asked if they could make a Manhattan. They responded they did not know how to. Seriously? At this point, it was 30 minutes since we arrived and our table for Semeli was ready.
We proceeded upstairs and they put us in a back corner around some other empty tables. Nobody greeted us or even served us water. Finally, after about 15 minutes we flagged down a waiter and when he arrived he seemed out of it and just stood there not saying anything. We asked if we could order food to which he mumbled something incoherent. After repeatedly asking him to repeat himself, he said that the kitchen was slammed and that it will be at least another 20 minutes before food orders could be placed. They had to clear the other tables ahead of us before serving us. Having had enough, I decided to leave. I said we were not coming back and the waiter said "we won't miss you", which was probably the most coherent thing he said in our interactions. I understand kinks to work out for a new restaurant, but basic level of service should be the minimum. Or at least acknowledge the issues you are working through. Also, teach your wait staff basic manners. Thanks for ruining my evening. "I won't miss you"
They didn’t update their NYE menu online and let us know after we reached that it was a buffet. We called several times before but no one ever received the call.
Such a great place. We asked for custom order, outside the menu, and food was delicious and made super quick and fresh!
