The food was amazing, we will be back soon 👍🏻
Loved loved loved the decor, perfect service, and delicious food. It was my husbands birthday and staff was lovely and friendly. We were waited on by someone who explained the menu, gave good recommendations and friendly. As someone mentioned the atmosphere is relaxed, sophisticated and very trendy. I loved the hotel especially the entrance, and was really surprised that this existed in central London! Definitely recommending this place and definitely definitely coming again!
One of the most beautiful place to spend a whole afternoon in summer, enjoy the sunshine, roof Terrace and the artistic environment. The food is great.
Contemporary decor, exceptional service, absolutely delicious food. Took my wife for our anniversary and had oysters, ceviche, calamari and lobster; everything was perfect. We were gifted a glass of champagne each on arrival and the maitre'd was charming, personable, funny and entirely helpful when answering our questions regarding the menu. The staff were attentive (but not too attentive!) and the atmosphere was relaxed, sophisticated and trendy but not cheesy. The cocktails were nothing short of perfect, and the prices are reasonable considering the location and ambience. Overall an excellent evening. I will definitely be booking a short stay soon in order to check out the hotel facilities.
Good dining and service.
Will go back again.
Really enjoyed our meal there, great place for trying lots of smaller dishes. All delicious. Toilets a nightmare to find especially after a couple of glasses of wine!
Divine service, fabulous cuisine with huge attention to detail and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend aubergine with miso and turbot with Chinese flavours. Excellent price/quality ratio. I am returning asap!
Myself and my wife brought a newlywed couple as part of their wedding gift and it was the perfect venue to celebrate but not overly stuffy much like many traditional London institutions. I had enjoyed the restaurant a couple of times for dinner but never for lunch. I was very surprised how quiet it was on a Saturday for lunch service but was delighted with the table in their upstairs terrace. We all commented that the look, feel and ambience was more akin to that of southern Spain, France or Italy.
The service was extremely personable yet knowledgeable. As the food is sharing plates, it is a very convivial way to enjoy lunch and with each dish being this well thought out, it was also thought and conversation provoking.
Their wine list is fantastically curated and I really enjoyed some very surprising options.
Great restaurant lovely menu and fab ambience on a Friday night. Will definitely be going back :)
Impeccable, yet relaxed service. Beautiful location and truly delicious food. Definitely be back. Lunch menu extremely great value.
Great ambience, and the food is delicious!
It is a win-win situation: back soon!
Loved it!! Very nice food selection, I appreciate the great choice of vegetarian food. The venue itself is amazing and the staff very professional. I will definitely come back
Spectacular food and ambiance.
The service was great and the food exceptional. Would definitely come again.
Very nice place for a date. Fun and lively bar and restaurant. Great food - more like Tapas size plates so you will need to order more plates than normal. Had a lovely English Pinot Noir also (Gusbourne), which I didn't know existed!
Amazing setting, delightfully creative food, warm and attentive service
The food at Serge et le Phoc is highly sophisticated but not over-complicated. The value offered by the set lunch is outstanding. On the day we went the Evening Standard Magazine published a pretty unflattering review (2 stars out of 5) and I couldn't agree with their critic at all. Mind you she spent a fortune on the a la carte menu and I didn't!
The slightly bizarre feature is that there doesn't seem to be any way of knowing that you have arrived at the Mandrake, apart from a man stationed outside who tells you to proceed through an unlit entrance-way. Inside the décor is tasteful and in places very innovative.
Excellent flavour combinations from an intriguing menu. The service was a bit awkward but well-meaning and very friendly. Good set menu options and a nice ambience. Not as busy as we'd expected considering it is newly opened. Definitely worth a visit...
We arrived at the Mandrake late on a dark evening and the entrance was very dark.
I thought it was for Halloween but the doorman said it was always like that.
The Bar area and the whole feel of the hotel is very original but the choices of gins and drinks in general was exceptional.
The food and service is of a very high quality, although my wife did not enjoy her fish very much (foam all around it), my Pidgeon was lovely and the cabbage and broccoli superb.
A very different vibe to this restaurant but a very enjoyable evening.
I wasn't sure what to expect as hadn't read many reviews, but absolutely loved it. I could eat the dacquoise every day although I wound probably die from obesity. The staff were also so lovely. It was a shame the main bar was closed for a private party but would definitely come again.
Beautiful restaurant with really attentive and friendly staff. We had a wonderful time!
The hotel looks like a very high class setting for an affair, but the restaurant within is discreet and producing very classy modern European cooking. Excellent value lunch menu - two courses £22, three for £27 - and some seriously impressive dishes. Well worth a visit, one of the best value five star meals I have had in London.
Very nice hotel especially the main bar & downstairs bathroom area. The restaurant was busy. Food was nice especially the octopus starter, pigeon main & chocolate dessert. Service needs improving although staff were very friendly. Long waits for orders to be taken, dessert menu to be offered & bill payment. Cocktails were forgotten & brought after starters. Hopefully teething problems that will be ironed out. Will be back.
The place is amazing.
The staff was kind but a little wait for the food.
Food is good but portion can be improve.
I loved it. The service was impeccable and the food was out of this world. Seriously accomplished stuff.
It was Sunday lunch and the restaurant was a little quiet, but the food, decor and service were excellent. All staff members were very polite and friendly and happy to show off their beautiful hotel. We will definitely be back and hopefully next time it will be a little busier!
Mouthwatering food in an elegantly set dining room. Up to the (impossibly high) standards of their Hong Kong restaurant.
outstanding food and service.really recommended if you are into foodies .great experience.
