Contemporary French
Serpent à Plume is a place where bright ideas and relentless adventure meet in the oldest square of Paris: 24 Place des Vosges. Serpent A Plume offers real services, and aims to create an experience stimulating all senses.

Our unconventional programming and aesthetic universe is the ultimate manifestation of how we create community. From our restaurant to our cocktail bar, each day is spent without repetition. Cats, thieves and illicit lovers lose themselves to the music and food as they leave reality behind.

Come be part of the magic and you will discover our chrome-brushed restaurant and velour cocktail bar that accompany Mesoamerican statues, contrasting epochs, voyages, and voids. Adventure awaits you.

I will write this in English, not French. This restaurant is lovely hipster style, outside on ground level on the historic place des Vosges. Inside downstairs, a large re-done old cellar that hosts regular live music and poetry readings. At the lively bar, colorful cocktails for hip young people with money, often anglophones. (I prefer a Jack Daniels and Perier with a twist!!) The head barman is good. This cave probably goes back hundreds of years-they should do the research and print it up. Back upstairs, the floor manager is great, knows what she is doing, mostly putting out fires lit by waiting staff and chef. To begin, a carpaccio of something was unidentifyable and had no taste. Main dishes, the duck was edible but bland, the veal hard and bland, the veggie dish edible, the octopus (poulpe) inedible, no taste, bland, unrecognizable. Best bet: side dish of roasted little new potatoes - very good. Deserts : do not order any desserts: a strawberry crumble was a blob of creme with crushed crackers, such a bad joke that the floor manager took it off the bill.......check the bill: a glass of red offered was put on bill by waitress...a sweet girl who did not have a clue about anything...meskina!! Two potato sides were ordered, only one came, two charged., my bad, didn't notice.. Sum-up: Go here to hang out with lovely young things but do not eat here until a new chef takes charge. 8 sept 2021

This small hole-in-the-wall restaurant was perfect for a special evening out. The food was locally sourced and exquisite to every minutiae detail. Lastly, the service was impeccable. we are most certain to return on our next trip to Paris.
