Seven Stars Inn
The Seven Stars Inn is the original Chester County steakhouse. We may be new to OpenTable, but we have been wowing our guests for over 275 years by featuring overly generous portions of the finest beef, veal and seafood served in a gracious white table cloth atmosphere. Legend has it that the Inn even served President George Washington himself in this very same historic building set in scenic Chester County.
The cocktail lounge is warm and inviting, and the well thought out wine list includes a broad spectrum of varietals and geographic origins.
Family friendly, the Seven Stars has not only a great Children’s Menu but also a Young Adult’s Menu. Both of these menus scale down the size of the serving and price of their offerings to help mom and dad afford an evening out with the whole family.
All major credit cards are welcomed.
Seven stars has a new owner that took over 2 years ago. We know something was different. Quality sure went down. We were celebrating our Anniversary and no one mentioned it to us at all. Very disappointed. I did not like my dish and the waitress and manager were speechless when I told them. I’m guessing that doesn’t happen often it was very dry and bland. They did replace it with something different. Came out in no time. If something is market price are we supposed to ask how much the item is or should the waitress just tell us?
Food was delicious, as expected. The drinks were great. I recommend the limoncello martini. I wish we had room for dessert because there were so many appealing options. Our server Vicky was great. Any time we needed anything, she noticed before we even thought to ask. This truly is a fine dining experience, and you totally get what you pay for here. We will definitely be back for another date night. We left full and happy.
Food was very good, for the price the portions were small but very good.
+had hard time on steps .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great value for the amount of food you get. The atmosphere is quiet and had no problem hearing conversation. Always have pleasant servers.
Very good to see that they have survived this plague.
It is very much as it was. Thanks
I have been to the Seven Stars Inn before, but a friend of mine who was celebrating a birthday had not, so what better way to celebrate than dinner at the Seven Stars Inn. The look on her face when they brought out the Prime Rib was priceless! The food was amazing as always and our server Terry was so much fun and recommended some great drinks such as their homemade Limoncello Martini! Their reputation of big portions is well deserved and if you have never been, than put it on your bucket list! You will not be disappointed!
Celebrated my husband's birthday on a Thursday night. Safe distances were kept between us and other guests. All the wait staff wore masks. Food was excellent (as always) and we truly enjoyed our meal. The prices are steep but the food quality and quantity were worth it.
Excellent as always. Have been there many times over the last 40 years and have never been disappointed.
Birthday. Nothing mentioned even though was documented in the reservation.
Our reservation was for 715p. They sat us. Took 30 min for a waitress to come to the table, she was not pleasant at all. Very rude. She got us our drinks & took order. Another half hour for our salads. Then an hour and 15 min for our actual food so at that point we were there 2 hrs. I ordered filet mignon medium well, it came out RAW, bright RED IN THE MIDDLE, not even hot. At that point, we left. We have been there many times & will never EVER GO BACK. They did take our raw meal off.
Dinner was absolutely delicious. From the bacon-wrapped scallops, to the twin stuffed lobster tails, to the best prime rib we have ever had. Portions are crazy...we are still eating leftovers!
Service was outstanding. Our server was Teresa. Very attentive and very hard worker!
Will definitely be returning in the near future.
very disappointed the last 3 times we were there. Quanitity and quality of the food is nowhere near what is used to be. Waitress pleasant. Service slow. Food sad to say was mediocre at best for the prices charged. Always enjoyed going there but not lately, things have changed sorry to say.
Very nice place
We went for dinner Saturday night to celebrate my mother's birthday. We asked if they would sing but they declined. Other than that, the food was delicious and the overall experience was wonderful as usual.
The meals are large. Very good food. Get the prime rib or the very large lobster tail. You won’t go wrong with anything that you choose.
If your looking for great food and portions this is your place..I will definitely be coming back
Had an excellent meal with my family. Trudi is the best bartender!! Perfect dirty martinis & excellent wine recommendation. Mike & the crew are awesome in the kitchen. Dinner was delicious, as always!! We enjoyed the crabmeat cocktail, bacon-wrapped scallops, sea bass, potatoes au gratin. It's always a fun time with great food!
I loved it as usual. The staff are always so nice, the food was so good. I love this place.
Fantastic it was our first time there.
Overpriced. Inn seems to be very run-down. Server was great. Food was okay.
In over 20 years of dining there, they never disappoint. This is one of our go-to for special occasions or date nights. It is so nice to still see Irene hostessing there. They have adjusted their portions down to normal human sizes, well almost-we never leave hungry anyway.
They did a very nice job maintaining the expectations the level of service we have come to expect and the ambiance during COVID. Prices did increase some, but its to be expected and when you are getting the quality of food and service at a local historic landmark-its easy to accept..
This was our first time there and the service was very good as was the food. I was surprised at how large the portions were.
However, with Covid it was a little too crowded!
Food was great, service was good, however it took almost two hours before we received our food.
I go there 3-4 times a year for dinner with friends. I need to go more often. I enjoy mid week more than last Saturday night. It was great to see it busy and the food was outstanding.
When you send your "house salad" back twice, it's a problem. Please update the menu to communicate the house salad has feta and crasins on it.
I would insist that people put their phones on vibrate while dining and if they don't a staff member should address it. The table next to us answered their phones, put people on speaker phone and had constant text messages coming in. Extremely rude and inconsiderate.
I ordered my steak medium. It came out well. The server just apologized and left the table. My husband ordered a side or plain pasta with his meal, the server brought him fettuccine alfredo instead. Our server was not very attentive. Just going through the motions!
Overall, less than impressed.
Great can’t wait to go back
Food was delicious from beginning to end. The service was great!
Large portions with no flavor. Just big. If you like simple big, you will be in heaven.
Exceptional food. We always have an amazing experience dining here! Definitely will be back. Generous portions and great service. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!
Never disappoints. Food and drinks excellent. Be prepared for generous servings.
Our experience at the Seven Stars Inn was fantastic as usual. The atmosphere was genuine.
The food was prepared and tasted great as it usually does. The wait staff was very professional and attentive to our needs. We have been dining at the Seven Stars Inn regularly since 1973 and if things stay the way they are will continue to do so.
If you eat here, be prepared for the huge portion. It is one of the things they are famous for.
Great time enjoyed great service and food almost as good as it used to be.
Took my 3 year old out for a date night and everything was exceptional. This is our second time dining at 7 stars, and Theresa has provided wonderful service both times! Everyone at Seven Stars treats my daughter so well and asks her so many questions which she loves! Can’t wait to come back.
It was very busy and more people in the lower level room than I thought would be. The prices were very high and service slow, not the best value .
Food is good, not great, overly expensive and parking is a nightmare. I think there are better places for the money
Charming old world ambiance and delicious food.
My wife and I have been going to the Seven Stars Inn for over 50 years now and every experience has always been a great one. It has always been our favorite place to go for special occasions or sometimes as a special treat. The Inn is like traveling back in time and history. When you go there, go with a big appetite and be prepared for a GREAT experience..
Great place, great food, wonderful service with a warm family feeling.
I had the chilean sea bass and my girlfriend had the queens cut filet mignon. Both were phenomenal. The only issue we had was the parking lot. It is unpaved and muddy when it rains.
