The Seven Stars is a 16th century country inn situated in the heart of Surrey, close to both Dorking and Reigate, with Gatwick airport seven miles away. It has wealth of character which includes a large inglenook fireplace, beamed ceilings, recently renovated gardens and patios along with ample parking.
An extension that now forms the main dining area was completed in 1996 and won the British Heritage Development Award for that year.
The Seven Stars has a great atmosphere, we have strived to keep it a village pub where friends and locals meet up to wine, dine and and enjoy freshly cooked food, sourced from the local area. We also pride ourselves on our Gluten Free and Vegan options

Thoroughly enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Seven Stars. The ambiance was pleasant and the hospitality excellent. Service was immediate and welcoming. The food arrived without delay and was excellent in all facets - quality, quantity, heat, etc. We were particularly impressed with the variety of vegetables which came as standard with the roast meal. We will definitely visit again! I have already recommended the pub to a friend.

Roast was fabulous, nice ambiance and mostly good service (had to chase a couple of drinks but otherwise very good). Desserts were a little mixed however, sticky toffee pudding was just a chocolate muffin served with a toffee sauce (muffin was a little burnt on top and quite dry). A couple of us asked for custard instead of ice cream with theirs but then no toffee sauce came out at all, so effectively chocolate sponge and custard. Mulled pears were very good however. The crumble was spoilt with an overpowering amount of spice in it that detracted from the flavour. Overall though an enjoyable family meal and we would visit another time, but we'd probably not have dessert.

I thought the meat was overcooked and there was too much on the plate. The roast potatoes were not to my taste. They were too big and not crispy.

Booked table on line on the Sunday morning. Restaurant was full but took a table at in the bar. Not as good as the restaurant but knew it wouldn't be. Great staff, first rate food. Would recommend.

Great food, lovely atmosphere. Enjoyed by all of us including my 18 month old who thoroughly enjoyed her lunch and if she could talk would probably be demanding we return for more as soon as possible. We shall return. Thank you for a lovely meal!

The setting is lovely and the food is very nice however we found the service frustrating. We had to go to the bar to ask to order twice despite they’re seeming to be multiple staff members around and passing our table. We were there at 1pm on a Sunday and the roast lamb had already sold out. The only vegan dessert had also sold out. This was very disappointing so early in service. This was a rare lunch out for us and we were left somewhat unimpressed and unfilled which was a real shame.

The best place for Sunday roasts. Having been to lots of pubs for Sunday lunch The Seven Stars leaves them all behind. The food is always freshly cooked lots of choice and beautifully cooked. Great service, staff are always friendly.

I booked a table for lunch with my sister. I wasn’t disappointed. The staff were professional and attentive; the food was outstanding, well prepared and presented. I will come back in the near future. I would recommend the Seven Stars inn to family and friends

The food and service is always consistently good. Your Sunday lunch is my favourite with a great choice of veg and massive Yorkshire pudding! Plus love the corgi & queen salt and pepper pots - shame you don't sell these.

Lovely, friendly atmosphere, good choice of music at a perfect volume. Food was excellent, coffee piping hot in a thermos cup - nice touch I hate warm coffee. Service was great. We'll go back.

Excellent offering . Clear parking - Lovely homely and friendly atmosphere. The Team were all working seamlessly together . The menu was top class and we were spoilt for choice of a few gorgeous starts, mains and deserts . We went for the Calamari and Ham Hock terrine, followed by Sea Bass and Hungarian Goulage. Both were excellent. The dessert we chose was the fruit topped crème brûlée which had a very creamy texture. Good quality house wines - Rose and Merlot both top shelve.

I don’t usually like a Sunday lunch out as nothing beats a home cooked roast dinner … normally. However, the roast dinner we had here Sunday gone was 5*!! Beautiful to eat, presented well and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will be returning and highly recommend everyone else to give it a try!!

Roast dinner was amazing and couldn't of asked for more, great value for money and left you feeling happy. Carrot cake was a little disappointing not nasty by any means just not up to the standards of the roast
