Amazing food, service was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
Their miso-pepper Iberian pork is the greatest meat you’ll eat this side of Argentina
Brilliant team, great food, good vibe.
The restaurant was very busy when arriving and as such more noisy than buzzy, in my opinion. Seated promptly order placed. The food is good on the tasting menu but very sauce heavy. Apart from the drink ordered on arrival not once did we get asked if we'd like more, the dining experience was over 2 hours with around 20 minutes trying to get our bill. Not sure I'd recommend this one, not for me, good food and good service needed for these prices.
When we arrived, we didn’t realise that there was a Sunday Brunch menu, which included pretty much everything we wanted to try. The food was uniformly excellent, and the service was speedy and friendly. Really can’t find fault with the experience at all.
We went to Shack-Fuyu for bottomless brunch. I would recommend this to people who care more about the food than the drinks. The quality and variety of the dishes was excellent and we were super full by the end as there is a lot of food going around. We were however left wanting more when it came to the bottomless drinks option as there was only one waitress going around with the prosecco for all the tables and it was hard to get her attention which resulted in us being left with empty glasses quite a bit. We definitely didn't drink as much as we would at another bottomless brunch. The cocktail at the start was a nice touch though.
Couldn't have been more disappointed to be honest. The food was so poor and service unfriendly and rude. Two dishes were completely inedible due to being oversalted. The rest were unfinished and lack lustre - the 'sando' was lacking flavour and the bao bun was just salmon in bread. Complete omission of flavours and textures! The server was so rude, he seemed rushed and kept prompting us to leave even though we'd been sat down for 40 minutes. He made no attempt to rectify anything and seemed to be in a bad mood. Someone hadn't thought out the table layout as we were sat next to the toilet entrance, which would have been fine, expect there wasn't enough room for people to pass by - so people kept knocking my friends chair. It was a terrible evening and huge disappointment.
Food excellent except the pork pluma which was cold, small and nothing special at all.
Service was ok but the bartender was not friendly.
Tried to pay in cash and was told they don’t accept cash .
We had a lovely lunch for our anniversary. The food and service was excellent. We had small plates, Tako Tacos, Rabbit Sando, Wagyu, Aubergine and Pork Bao. They were all my favourites! Recommend this place to everyone!
Small portions and expensive. I was hoping that at least the veggies (£5+ each) to come in a big portion. Broccoli is not the most expensive ingredient in the world… service was really good, just a shame about tiny portions and ridiculous prices
Great food - we had the tasting menu which was a great balance of different things.
I have eaten here SO many times and it never fails to deliver! LOVE it!
Amazing food and really great service. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Good value pre theatre menu too and the speedy service meant we were able to have a lovely meal without rushing. I will be back!
We love it here, the food is amazing!! Love the outdoors seating on a hot evening!
The food was great! Definitely get a rice dish and the chicken wings.
The food, the Tasting Menu in particular, is fantastic and great value for money. The service is great, our waitress was very friendly, and the atmosphere is good.
My only criticism is that neither my wife nor I liked any of the cocktails, and over 2 visits we had tried most of them. I'd like to see them add some more traditional cocktails to the menu as well.
Was sad that had no dessert options that day.
We had the 8 course tasting menu and it was wonderful! Try to re-visit Shack-Fuyu as much as possible!
Appalling sugary and gloopy food - really disgusting. Not Japanese, not Korean, just vile assemblies of squishy and intensely sweetened rubbish. The so called prawn toast, a sort of shuddering grey omelette with literally zero prawns, was one of the most unpleasant things that I have tasted for a long time. Other low lights included the fatty ceviche, and the entirely beef-free tasteless mess called beef hot stone bowl rice. Dessert was a slimy half-raw sweet sponge bizarrely described as French Toast. Lukewarm beer was the perfect accompaniment to such clueless and careless food. The worst place that I have eaten in years, and I eat out a lot. Predictably popular, but nobody who cares about cooking should eat here.
Great little places, bao buns were exceptional. One diner was coeliac and the restaurant went out of theur eay to let us know. The menu was rsther limited but very tasty nonetheless, well recommended
Very good food , we had the tasting menu for 35£ per person which was the best option to be able to try more things. Strongly recommend the wings, pork and hot rice. Very busy in a Friday night but nice environment. The French toast is a must!
lovely food, nice staff, all round good experience
Style over substance, deep fried dishes tasted like they were fried in old oil. Not a lot of thought had gone into eating experience, eg. the rabbit katsu curry sauce with the rice in the hot stone pot looked great but the sauce evaporated/soaked into the rice so there wasn't a lot of Katsu Curry sauce for the Rabbit. The buttery brioche really overpowered everything else in the katsu sando and was quite dry with very little sauce. The Korean wings were too vinegary - we didn't eat all 3.
Drinks and staff were amazing, so warm and helpful. Prawn toast was fantastic, as were the tuna tacos.
Was quite expensive for a less than perfect meal. Had been wanting to go for ages so was very underwhelmed which is unusual for Bone Daddies group!
Quick & friendly service with amazing food!! What more do you need?!
First time out for a while & what a great choice in restaurant. Loved everything - food, drink, service. Amazing we’ll definitely be back & I rarely say that! 😁
Helpful staff with stellar recommendations and a superb attitude on a very busy night. The tasting menu was a great capture of variety from the ceviche to the hot pot rice every dish was bursting with flavour. I’ll be back for sure!
Excellent prawn toast and ceviche. Great service. Famous dessert was tasty but would be too much if you're not a fan of matcha.
We had a fantastic lunch at Shack-Fuyu, food was delicious and service was friendly and attentive. Previously service has been hit and miss, but yesterday it was top notch. I hope they keep it up, I'll definitely visit more often if they do!
The service was poor but I think it was a matter of the waiter we had, the others were nice. The starters and small plates were good, the rice big plates were nice but the rabbit katsu curry was disappointing. The curry had amazing flavour but the rice ended up overcooked and the rabbit was 20 times over-fried, super hard. I will come back definitely but focus on sharing and small plates.
Awesome food, matcha toast was outstanding as was all the savoury dishes only negative is staff taking away plates without checking if you are finished- super efficient but sometimes you want to finish the bits left on the plate!
Tasty food, great customer service, would come back several times.
Highly recommend the Iberico Katsu Sando, the Korean Wings and the Salmon.
Also the French toast with the matcha ice cream was divine.
Excellent food - would highly recommend to everyone.
Tried their Korean fried chicken and Iberico Katsu Sando.. there were way too much batter and the sauces didn’t taste authentic Korean /Japanese.
Lovely food - we had the express theatre menu which was delicious, and both starter and main were great (Korean wings and Salmon for main). Dessert is our fave - the french toast and matcha ice cream is always worth it! Staff were also friendly and welcoming
Had a great "tapas-style" lunch and can thoroughly recommend the restaurant for both the food and the service. Standout dishes were the chilli beef stone rice, beef fillet tail, the broccoli and aubergine dishes and the prawns - and, of course, the French toast desert!
Food is great, but was served
Really enjoyed our dinner here, but having opted for 6 small dishes to share between two, would recommend aiming for the mains plus 1-2 sides if sharing. Everything was delicious, but pretty filling, and you want to leave room for the matcha tea soft scoop with french toast dessert: its great.
Highlights were the prawn sando, the chicken wings and the broccoli, but it was all delicious.
Lovely staff and great food. A little bit pricier than necessary I think but overall brilliant.
Excellent food and pretty happy with the value for the tasting menu. Service was quick and friendly too.
Only downside was the noise as we had to shout to hear each other across the table at times. Perhaps we were just unlucky to have some very loud groups near us.
The food was amazing. I was slightly disappointed that there was no recognition of the fact that we were there for my husband's birthday despite identifying it on the booking and speaking with the waiter about this.
Great food, but a bit loud acoustics inside, hard to hear what my table was saying 😂
