No atmosphere, apart from one other table, we were the only people in there at 7pm on a Friday night. Awful menu for theatre menu that said it included Prosecco, but we were told it didn't. Never again

No real attention from the poorly trained staff told the wague burger would be 40 mins to cook then still waited around 40 minutes what we ordered ,wasnot asked if all ok a simple waiter thing to come round and be attentive not the busiest place I’ve been in yet struggled to serve a brunch to a table of 4 the mushroom and truffle toast was a slop the breakfast was so very standard after all that why would I leave the service charge, plus on leaving no thank you and have a nice day , this was my experience and others may have had a better one when I spend nearly 20quid on a breakfast I expect more than standard plus if it’s all day there could be coffee included not many people would have more than two, all in all on that day it seemed as if it was poorly run , there’s no value for money and location is not everything, we had been in that area for a show and tried to select a place that would give us a nice meal it was not enjoyable and made worse when you pay for it from hard earned money

Service was very slow considering the number of people in the restaurant. A lot of waiting, took several minutes for us to be offered a drink. Food was not hot, but palatable, pizza base was very dense, way too much cheese on top. Wagyu burger was very tasty, good sized portion. Another long wait for the bill, plates collected ad hoc after dining, some collected some not. Not somewhere I’d rush back to.

Friendly and welcoming environment with great decor and ambience. I ordered the crab and prawn brioche, with poached eggs and an iced coffee. I thought overall the food and coffee was good but a bit disappointed that I didn't get crab. It's actually fish sticks they used, so was misleading. I didn't want to fuss and ask for something else, but I think in future the restaurant shouldn't call it crab as there was no crab meat at all. I thought it was fairly priced but only if it actually had crab :( I would go back, but will order something else next time.

We went to have a nice lunch but when we get there they said the kitchen is closed for some issues in that morning. If they had issues in the kitchen why they didn't call me to cancel the booking? Instead of wasting our time to travel to the restaurant, and offered us simple sandwiches for lunch. Completely unprofessional.

Food was really really lovely. Wait staff were very attentive and offered to mix a cocktail if not on the menu. It was very quiet, the day before new years eve at 5.30pm so not a lot of atmosphere but not the restaurants fault. The aesthetic of the restaurant very contemporary and clean too.

We found the restaurant from the Bridge Theatre website. Despite it being a pre Christmas visit the restaurant had only one other group, we were told they only had two bookings on a Friday. A Friday before Christmas Food was OK , olives had just come out of the fridge, wrong main course arrived and they could hardly use the excuse they were busy. Head waiter wasn’t informed about this until we told him . Poor service but at least they didn’t charge us . Wine a bit pricey We will go elsewhere .

Food was dreadful. Flabby bacon. Sausage looked pink. Mushrooms watery. Lukewarm at best. Really mean portions. Very poorly presented. Sent it all back and did not pay for the food. We had booked at a time on Sunday that was clearly the no man’s land between breakfast and brunch so I suspect the chef was on a break. We even had the cleaner hoovering around us. We paid for our drinks but I don’t think we should have done as the entire experience was ruined.

Never mind the manager didn’t have our booking. Left us standing mid sentence. Certain drinks not available and food menu (limited brunch only menu) was very average and bland for the price. It was also fairly empty which didn’t help the ambience. Lovely Bauhaus style furniture though but won’t return despite a very friendly waiter who tried his hardest to compensate for the lack in food and wine.

Provisioners is a restaurant located in the boutique hotel, The Dixon, serving quite a unique brunch menu which was what attracted us there. The restaurant itself is beautiful and bright , a more contemporary take on the 60’s with its pastel colours and cushioned chairs. Lovely array of giant green potted plants surrounding the restaurant too. Service was great throughout, very welcoming and friendly. Sadly the expensive menu didn’t not match the mediocre food they were serving. We started on whitebait which was a good start. They were deep fried and seasoned generously with this salt and peppery spice which made it so moreish. A nice creamy aioli dip to balance it out. Sadly the spiced pistachio dukkah rosti Florentine was disappointing. The rosti had a thick hard crust that was chewy like it was on the pan too long and the dukkah spices were very mild. But like most things, anything with a nicely poached egg and a nice hollandaise sauce can be saved. For mains I had the smoked haddock fishcake served with a poached egg and spinach. Although I really enjoyed this, nice soft flakey textures with a thin layer of crispy breadcrumb around it, it wasn’t worth £16.50 for the portion size and simplicity of the dish. Black pudding and pork belly Indian roti was also very average. Roti wasn’t very malleable or buttery and it was only after we ate it we realised they had forgotten the black pudding. The pork itself was more like pulled pork, quite stringy and chewy. There was a nice coffee barbecue sauce to it and red onion jam, savoury and sweet with a slight bitter tone to it but the dish lacked texture to break away from the dense meat and the fried egg and rocket didn't do much to it. We ended on french toast costing a whopping £16 but at least it was good. Lovely thick slices of eggy brioche with a generous jug of maple syrup for you to go crazy with finished nicely with fresh berries and mascarpone cream to lighten things up.

It was so bad. The place was empty, no one around on a Friday evening. No one! It’s also worth mentioning that it’s a hotel restaurant, so sometimes you have the odd guest just crossing the empty restaurant to go to reception. The food is boring and tasteless. Prêt à manger has a nicer carotte soup, and that weird pasta salad for main isn’t better than the 2 for £3 salads at M&S... except here, it will cost you £30 for 2 of them. Nice furnitures though, but seriously, don’t go there.

We needed to go to the theatre at 19:30, so we asked for the pre-theatre menu when we arrived at this restaurant at 18:00. We were given complementary Bellini cocktails twice over, as the first lot had been mixed with grapefruit rather than orange juice. The waitress was very pleasant but service was slow, although there were few other customers. When three waiters finally arrived with our main courses, they reached over us to set the plates on the table. The food was over salted and the fish did not smell fresh. We were offered free desserts to make up for the inadequacies of the meal but we had to leave at 19:20, before this, or the dessert that we had ordered when we arrived, was served.

Initial staff greeting was unfriendly. Breakfast was overpriced for average to poor food. It feels like a hotel dining room. Given the location this could be great but it needs to take lessons locally from the Garrison and the Watch House and turn itself around fast. You only get one chance to make a good first impression.

No front of house greeting when I arrived for my reservation. Seemed surprised I was there! Place feels like a hotel lobby, not much atmosphere. One of the two beers on tap not available. Someone had to check how much for a simple gin and tonic. Food was OK but not good value. Especially the fries which are very steep for basic fast food fries! Finally, we asked for 2x truffle fries after they were recommended but in the end couldn't taste or smell any truffle. Ironically we we charged for 1 regular fries and one truffle fries! Won't be going back.

Shakedown, nestled in the vibrant Tower Bridge area of London, is more than just a Cocktail Bar, Espresso Bar, and All dining restaurant. Back in 1905, our hotel served as a bustling police station, and the restaurant floor was home to 22 holding cells in the basement, each holding a story of its own.
