We offer fresh, authentic, rustic Palestinian & Middle Eastern food with a hint of the Mediterranean. Pomegranate, sumac, almonds, za’atar, mint, lemons, figs, pine nuts all add to the smell of real Palestinian food, that you can enjoy in our eclectic restaurant. The décor is based on a Bedouin tent merged with pieces from “one thousand and one nights” (and no we do not have a flying carpet).
Sunday night was quiet but ambience very relaxed. We had delicious food and a lovely young waiter. I will definitely be back😋
Absolutely love this little gem of a restaurant.
The food is always very tasty with a great range of options.
The staff are very friendly and obliging.
The fact that it's BYOB is a great plus.
One downside was that their door never shut properly (super annoying and drafty in winter) but they seem to have rectified this.
The food was really good. I especially liked the desert (Knafeh). Also the shearing plates are perfect for 2 people.
It has gone a little expensive since our first visit, but we enjoyed celebrating my wife's birthday dinner at her favourite restaurant! Book in advance, as every table was taken after we arrived. Very good food!
Lovely evening with fantastic food at the right price
Really tasty, accessible and reasonable fare.
I love this restaurant. Staff are so professional and polite. We usually get the sharing Mezze . It’s best to book at the weekend as I have seen patients turned away as it is often fully booked, especially at the weekend.
Looking forward to our next visit.
Food at Shakshuka is fresh, tasty and offers great variety. Their vegetarian set menu for two was delicious and our very friendly waitress was happy to exchange the hummus for our preferred baba ghanoush that they always do very well. Service was friendly and efficient and their BYOB is great value.
The food at Shakshuka is delicious and full of flavour; we had the mezze for two so were able to sample a few dishes. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. I would recommend!
Eight of us dined here on a busy Friday evening and every one of us enjoyed the entire experience. The food and service was excellent and we all will happily recommend Shakshuka to people.
Best falafel in Dublin! Cosy, authentic atmosphere and great staff. 👌
As always the most homely, authentic and hospitable place to dine out! Food is excellent!
This was my second visit to Shakshuka and it was as enjoyable as the first. The waitstaff were charming and helpful, the ambience is great, and the choice of dishes is good, allowing for all tastes (1 vegetarian, 1 pescatarian and 3 omnivores). All in all I'd recommend it.
Second visit to this lovely little restaurant - food great, service fast and friendly, good value, love BYOB (small corkage fee) - only complaint was that the place was rather chilly on a wintry evening....
Great food well worth a visit. Delicious homemade Baklava...
It was very cold. Kept having to close the door and sat beside the window and had to keep coat on
Great little restaurant, with nice authentic food, nice ambiance and good service.
Wonderful Palestinian and Middle Eastern food, maybe the best in Dublin! Always love to come here. Great menu and friendly staff.
We are regulars at Shakshuka over the years and really like the food. This time we noticed however that the menu has changed and the prices have gone up quite a bit. Also the old menu with the old prices is still displayed in the window, or at least it was when we were there last. It was a bit chilly but the guy said they were installing new heaters. The food is lovely as is the service however.
Excellent experience great value
Super local favourite with tasty healthy Palestinian food served by lovely staff - very reasonably priced and byob with low corkage!
Good service, food was tasty and seemed all freshly made and using good quality ingredients. Good service. Slightly cramped seating, found it a bit on cold side but it was a cold night.
Great food. attentive but inobtrusive waiter. Glad it was a quiet night cos its quite a small place. Lovely evening and great value.
Great food in a fun, lively atmosphere - will go back again and again!
Lovely place and great food
Brilliant ambience. Always love the experience here :)
A great meal as always. A lovely selection of mezze and equally tasty main courses. We always order too much but it makes lunch time something to really look forward to the next day. Brilliant staff and gorgeous decor make Shakshuka one of our favourite places to go for a never-fail casual dinner. Just fabulous.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere, tasty and authentic food at very reasonable prices.
This restaurant used to be exceptional when it was still 'Little Jerusalem' (under previous ownership?).
Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated while prices have gone up considerably. Set menues are overpriced. All plates now dominated by a hug pile of rice and rather little of the actual dish. Presentation of food is poor. Would not go again
Very nice good. Falafel was a bit dry and have had nicer hallomi but everything else was very tasty. Service was very good
We had such a good time here. I had rad mixed reviews & I was a bit nervous. The food was AMAZING. We went for halloumi salad to start and lamb koftas for main. Delicious. Even the salads were great. And its byo so great value. Staff were lovely too despite being run off their feet. Totally recommend!
We had a lovely meal, very pleasant service and good food, most enjoyable, looking forward to the next occasion.
We’ve been many times as we love the food, but a small criticism this time is that we just wanted Mezze. You have to order a minimum of eight dishes, which actually means ELEVEN plates arriving at once. Totally unworkable on a small table and too much food for two people. You live and learn.
The food was outstanding. We went in there for the first time as we were in Dublin for a few days and we were pleasently surprised! The staff was really nice and very friendly. The price of the food was an outstanding for the amount of food that we were given! I can't wait to go back to Dublin just to try out another dish from their menu! 5 out of 5!
Lovely night at this restaurant. Food was delicious and service faultless. BYOB is always an added bonus. Very cosy and lovely atmosphere. Would recommend.
Booked for a party of 4 for 18/8/18 @ 19:30. While there was a mixup with my online booking and our booking was rescheduled it was so worth the wait. The food and service could only be described as superb.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for Palestinian/Lebanese cuisine and I would seriously recommend everyone try it as I'm relatively new to this cuisine but it's now my favourite. Shakshuka is an absolute gem.
Good overall except that despite getting a confirmation email from Open table the restaurant did not know I was coming or had a reservation! Took a while to sort out but that was the only complaint I would have.
Fabulous. Best Middle Eastern food I've had outside Lebanon
Excellent food, excellent service, reasonable prices for the context. A bit limited space but that's also character. Overall a great experience!
After previous visit suggested we met friends in this restaurant. We had really enjoyed our previous meal. On this occasion food was not as good. Salads looked a bit jaded. Portions small and overall a disappointment. Perhaps the chef had a night off but after recommending it to our friends we were disappointed.
