Shogun Sushi and Noodle Bar
There is a conveyor sushi bar offering you the best sushi in town. The noodle bar will tempt you with a wide variety of delicious noodles and the teppan-yaki tables will cater to the connoisseurs where you will see your meal being cooked before your eyes.
The food was excellent and the experience with an actual chef cooking in front of you wonderful. But the service was very chaotic and there was always delays when you asked for something
Good teppanyaki restaurant. However service was totally overwhelmed on that night. Forgot orders and wrongly calculated bill. Still, service was trying their best and they were always friendly.
Food and theatre very good. Drinks Service slow, had to wait for our pre booked table, but not too long. All in all a very enjoyable evening!
The service - terrible. Staff were undertrained and some were rude. They did not know our bill number, forgot what we ordered and what our seat numbers where. Almost charged us for 10 people when we were a group of 4, added on items to the bill we did not order.
The food - although our chef was good and engaging, the food was not all that great, it well seasoned or had much taste. We were told there are no noodles, but soup was served with noodles.
Noise Levels - be prepared for a very loud environment. Some chefs are more about slamming their kitchen utensils at full force against the hot plates for entertainment than giving you a tasty meal. And they will overcrowd the hot plate tables so you are squished together.
Value for Money - the portions are big, but not worth the money you pay.
Overall, I feel the place needs a lot of work in terms of organisation and more trained staff. They also need to work on providing a much better customer experience then just trying to ram as many people as they can into the restaurant and then getting overwhelmed.
Great service, lovely food and atmosphere however found that drinks were quite expensive.
Absolutely great experience, very friendly staff and excellent service. Really made my sisters birthday special. We had the seafood royale and it was out this world. Couldn't recommend this place enough. In fact we have re booked for our next meal already x
Had to wait for our table but other than that really enjoyed the evening and food was amazing 🤩
We had an amazing experience at the restaurant. Definitely going to come back and would most definitely recommend 😍
We all very much enjoyed the experience.
It was expensive, but as it was for an occasion celebrating a birthday, made the outlay more exceptable.
We all paid £37 per head for several courses, salad, soup, starters... then the showmanship on the hot plate began, service was spot on, really friendly and fun.
If you were paying individually, that wouldn't bevso bad. As I paid for 3 of us, it was a slight stinger lol. But as I said, it was worth the experience.
Drinks were excessive in cost, £5 for a pint of coke.
Would I go again, now thats difficult to say. Maybe on a spesh occasion again.
If they reduced prices, id want to go every week.
Adding sushi would of been a nice touch to the meal, as sushi was our first thoughts for booking this meal.
Grateful for the experience and the pleasant people who gave us the service, even if you pay 10% for the extra service.
Loved the food and the service and the cocktails 🍹 fab afternoon woukd defo recommend and return
Usually an amazing experience but like so many now a days, they normal is not as amazing due to Covid restrictions.
The full team were amazing and coped very well. However, it was a more rushed experience than normal and the chefs have to cook quickly at the moment rather than putting on the usual show.
Still worth a visit but we can’t wait to visit when restrictions are lifted again.
We had booked a table for 6 people a month in advance as we were aware it could get booked up over the Xmas season. We were a few minutes late for our table at 7pm due to our train, we were seated to the side until a main seat was available, but were left there till 7.50pm when I had to say something about the time. From then on the service was good & the food was wonderful & very tasty. We would visit again.
Well over priced fow what u get and the chef rushed all pf our food jus so they could close to clean up yet we arrived at 8pm. Terrible experience
No atmosphere, lights not turned on so was very dark inside
They add 10% to bill for service charge
Expected a better atmosphere in all honesty with the location, it felt a bit more star city than cube - price doesn’t align with the food, couldn’t really taste the flavour of the food over the burnt / charr from the hot plate
The chef were friendly but rehursts we hurd them repeat the same things things to other diners. Food was OK I needed a tad more salt but felt it was rude to ask as he had cooked it in front of us and for every body. All the food was OK but all tasted the same. Sakard had too much of that dressing on it so couldn't enjoy it.
Service as good it was a quite night
Dessert options were not good or exciting.
Drinks menu was good with a good selection.
Overall I wasn't excited and wouldn't recommend the place as I feel there are other places with more sparkle. Mood texture and personality.
Too expensive for their services, they need to add new dessert, only ice cream and salad fruits is mot enough
Great night out for our Christmas do. Staff very attentive and got us in the mood for a great dining experience. Chef was awesome and the food was out of this world.
It's fair place, until you have a chef in front of you, otherwise not recommended. No bartender, staff do not speak english. Felt a bit pushed out from the place.
Visited for the first time on a voucher deal. Its a set menu, but the different courses were varied and all deliciously filling. Really entertaining to watch the chef's theatrical cooking, although it got a little messy around the Teppenyaki hot-plate. I really enjoyed the visit and it was a great way to experience a selection of the menu and get an introduction to the chefs' impressive skills but the only thing that bothered me was the noise. Lots of banging the metal utensils on the metal grill (two birthdays so the sing-alongs were accompanied by this too). I would still gladly come back... albeit with ear-plugs!
W had best experience outstanding the staffs was amazing and helpful
Fabulous meal as always there. We had the sushi bar, which is all you can eat. We ate loads - it was absolutely lovely. Good drinks also. They’re always so friendly there.
It was nice, food was a little bland and drinks were expensive for what you got but overall a pleasant experience.
It is an experience. The teppanyaki chefs are great and the food is good. The service does not match this however. It takes a long time to get served, drinks orders were wrong twice, and service charge is included, which is not on if service is poor.
It was a great experience to celebrate a birthday
Amazing … it was so nice I have booked it again for my children and their partners to enjoy .. the food is exquisite 👌
Fantastic! Partners birthday present night out ! Food /entertainment / staff made for a brilliant pre theatre time !
We went as a family of 4 (2young children). Chef was so entertaining and engaging with the children which made their night.
Very busy, kept waiting, kept having to ask for items, drinks, Table, Service.
Very little showmanship, Chef kept disappearing to collect food that we had ordered and he had forgot.
Moved off Teppanyaki Table and put on a table in reception to finish our meal, finish our Drinks, have our Desert, Coffee’s and some Liquors.
Bill was overcharged and overall expensive for what we received
Had a good time and fab foods too
Buffet menu was less on selection than first thought. Need to put buffet menu on website. Food was tasty just not enough selection and need to be clearer on website it’s a reduced menu
The food was a long wait and to be fair it was very average.
In our party of four was a vegetarian and a diabetic child, the staff always made sure we were ok with our food choice & the chef was entertaining all in all a very comfortable enjoyable evening.
Nice friendly atmosphere with excellent food - great value for money
Horrible customer service. I would never go again. The short Asian woman called me and my friends stupid
It was really Great family night out time at this Restaurant, we all had enough fun with the Chefs
Excellent service, was served by a small waitress who was so lovely and allowed us to move to a more private table. The second waitress we had was great too, very efficient
Is a noisy restaurant which we didnt realise before booking, best to go for the experience of watching the chefs cook rather than if you’re looking for a relaxing evening where you can have a conversation
Overall still very good, food was great. Will be back to try more on the menu
We had a memorable meal here. Chef was amazing and the food delicious. So much food we skipped desert.
Terrible service given and very small portions
Great food - lovely seafood. Excellent teppanyaki chef
