Shula’s 2 Steak & Sports - Miami Lakes
This spot is a clean and respectable sports (TV) bar in a nice hotel lobby. The food and service were very good to excellent. I selected this spot for a meeting with a client and it was a good choice. It’s not a Dive bar, wing factory, burger joint or a Florida theme park... so don’t go looking for that. Instead, it’s an unpretentious and very good value option for a slightly upscale gathering, drink or meal.
Great neighborhood food....always consistently good.
Kassandra our waitress was the most attentive sweet and caring girl I've ever met. She made sure to take care of us from the moment we got there to the moment we left. By far she is one of the most sweetest waitresses I've ever had the pleasure of meeting when eating at your establishment.
Great service! Saturday Brunch omelette and Wine Country Burger excellent.
Chicken wings were the smallest I have ever seen in my life. Burger tasted like it was warmed in a microwave, hard dense texture and dry. Fries were cold. Waited forever to get refills when the place was about 25% full. Waiter would come out and go to one table serve it and disappear for the next 4 minutes. Never looks around to see if any of his other tables needed anything.
The restaurant was in our hotel, which was very convenient. The food was good and the service was good as well. We sat at the bar, and I always find the service is much quicker when you sit at the bar. Our bartender was Amanda and she was awesome! She also made a really good margarita!
As a lifelong Dolphins fan this was a hit. The food was very good and looking at the pics on the wall was fun! I even bought a Don Shula autographed book about coaching for 19.72😀
The food was horrible!!! We ordered an appetizer sampler, so we got a taste of various dishes. To call it grocery store freezer section food would be too generous because some freezer section food is 10x better than the food we had at Shula’s. You could tell it was reheated frozen food. After the 1st few bites, my friend asked the waitress, “was this frozen food shaken out of a bag & microwaved?” The fried calamari was as dry as the Sahara desert. The boneless chicken wings (aka nuggets), were mostly breading & what little chicken there was, was not moist at all. The egg rolls were palatable but the dipping sauce tasted like a poorly seasoned mayo. The spinach dip was just blah. Nothing about the appetizers enticed us to order a main entree. My friend order an Old Fashioned drink & he was so dissatisfied that he barely finished it. I expected a lot more from Shula’s but it felt like they just couldn’t bother with providing a quality meal experience.
Service was terrible
Food cooked on a dirty grill and tasty very bad
This is the third Thanksgiving dinner at Shulas and it did not disappoint. The service was wonderful and the food absolutely delicious. We will be back next year!!
Another excellent dining experience! We were sat promptly in a comfortable booth. The hostess was very pleasant and accommodating. Our waiter, Miguel, was superb, very friendly and highly professional. The food was everything we have come to expect; Cesar Salad crisp and correctly dressed, the filet mignons tasty, tender, and perfectly cooked, baked potatoes a great side, and the Creme Brulee flavorful with a very crispy top. All reasons that this is a favorite restaurant!!
Great neighborhood gem. Food and service are always very good. Eduardo was our server, and he was on top of everything.
Came In at 10. Said they were clouding. They’re supposed to close at 11. They sent me to the ale house. Very disappointing.
Excellent overall experience. I had guests visiting from out of town and they really enjoyed the evening.
Very disappointing starting with the service Took almost 20 minutes to get 2 beers and a glass of wine from the time we ordered them and food was not cooked to the temp we ordered , needless to say we won’t be going back there again
Waited 30 minutes for drinks. Service was horrible, had to keep looking for a server. The restaurant seemed to be understaffed. We had to go to the hostess to ask for our server.
As usual, great food and excellent service. Eduard was very professional and friendly. The filet mignons were very tasty and cooked perfectly. The Cesar salad crisp and well dressed. The broccoli was flavorful al dente. Potatoes were big, soft throughout with crispy skins. Conundrum red tied everything together well.
Love brunch here
The prior visit had not been up to their normal standards, but we decided to give Shula's 2 another shot and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the breakfast buffet was simple, with limited choices, but that was all we were looking for. Turned out to be a very nice outing.
Great server. Drinks very reasonably priced ($5 mimosas or absolutely bloody Mary’s). Food was relish, a little slow coming out but it’s Sunday! The place is cavernous so though it was noisy we were able to move our large group (10) to a quieter area. We will return.
It’s my birthday. My waiter treated me like a queen. Thank you.
Great Brunch on Saturday with friends. Loved the avocado toast with poached eggs!
I had the 6 Oz filet mignon and it was perfectly done. The service was great.
Disappointing experience. We had a party of 15. Our server, though very nice, did not check on us with enough frequency, and was unable to keep the appetizers and food coming. Most of us received over-cooked steaks, and one of us didn’t receive there steak until the rest of us finished - and it was rare, instead of medium. The leftover birthday cake never came back to us.
As always, Shula's 2 has the best burgers. Wine Country Burger is my personal favorite. My friend truly enjoyed her Cheeseburger. The Smashed Potatoes made for an excellent side. Our server, Matt, was professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He's an asset to Shula's 2.
Probably before 9:00pm. I made a reservation for 9:30pm, when we arrived there were no one to sit us down (had to go to the bar area). Food was cold and not fresh. Waiter came to take the order and did not see him until I finished my food.
The menu options are very limited and the service was average at best. The value proposition is not there. That said, our reservation was within 1.5 hours of the end of their Mother’s Day brunch, but a restaurant should be able to flip from brunch to regular service in that time without missing a beat.
Good food, good atmosphere and friendly. Overall we like it
The reception staff / front desk greeting personnel at arrival were very good . The selection of food and the quality was excellent only to be surpassed by our server Patrick who was so attentive and pleasant . His service was excellent
Southwestern egg rolls are great. The rest was underwhelming.
Chicken and waffles wasn't good. We expected real fried chicken not chicken fingers that looked day old
Great food, ordered the 8 oz filet and was not disappointed. Good service, but the best part of this restaurant was aesthetic, could not recommend a better restaurant for a Dolphins fan.
Always a good place to eat. Brunch is delicious as always. Burgers were okay, not cooked quite as asked but still yummy.
Siamo dovuti scappare perchè in cucina avevano bruciato delle pietanze, la sala era invasa dal fumo ed è scattato l’allarme anti incendio (che non hanno saputo spegnere) e ci hanno cacciato.
We experienced a wonderful early Sunday afternoon lunch. Loved the Shrimp Cocktail starter, Pittsburg style Filet Mignons, loaded potato, french fries and seasonal veggies, finished with the Key Lime pie. Drinks were: Flo-Rita, Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned and KC Manhattan.
Service was tentative without being bothersome. Great recommendations from our server. Club style atmosphere, many TVs so something for everyone, comfortable temp and noise level. We will be back with friends and family. Cheers!
Not my favorite, dark and food was overpriced for the product. I will not return.
Husbands fish sandwich was good, my salad was tasty. Did not have a steak so need to come back and try this place again. Service good. No complaints.
