Excellent first visit. Food was excellent but menu is limited. But maybe it changes not sure as first visit. Compact area not a very large place but good atmosphere. Wine excellent, cocktails need much improvement hence the lower score. Would we return... Yes
The best meal of the weekend and a refreshing change to bog standard Italian food. Amazing!
Service was great, the menu doesn’t have many options, it’s just pasta and arancino. It was ok but I was expecting a bit more.
Must have got them on a bad evening. The restaurant itself was lovely, fab setting. But service was some of worst I have ever experienced. The starters were nice but the mains were cold and completely unseasoned. Honestly was such a shame and I do just think they were having a bad evening :(
Really simple menu, we had the gnocchi and swordfish ravioli and it was lovely. Staff were amazing and really looked after us.
Lovely little hidden gem in the Northern Quarter. Tasty food and amazing service. We started with Arancino Spinach which was delicious! We then had Burrata pasta tasted amazing and it was a really decent sized portion too. Unique drinks menu with lots of choice and amazing cocktails. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend!
Lovely atmosphere and good food, will definitely be going again
This is definitely not a family restaurant: There are no high chairs and do not change units in the toilet.
Food and wine expensive for the tasty and quantity, one of the classes was nice another was not.
Great authentic food, atmosphere and service, what more could you ask for?
Fabulous and tasty food.
Very friendly staff.
I had the pistachio pasta which was probably the best past dish I’ve ever tasted...
We had a fab few hours, stunning food and drink and lovely service. Would highly recommended x
The food was amazing! Excellent vegan options!!
Really delicious food! Quick service, and really friendly staff. We were sat outside but there were umbrellas and an outdoor heater, which was very welcome.
Super friendly staffs. scrumcious food. defo going again.
I’ve been before in 2019 before they moved venues and always remembered the food. During this pandemic there are two outside tables on a quiet street, barely a car went past during our midday booking. We loved the food, really loved it! I can recommend everything we ordered the mt etna aranchinni, the spinach aranchinni and the Parmegano (which I had before here). The mafioso cocktail was lovely but was too strong for me so I swapped with my partners Mai Tai and was super happy.
Overpriced and very limited menu. Appreciate this may be a reflection of current Covid restrictions but was rather disappointing. Felt rushed to leave as soon as we had finished our meal even though we had half a bottle of wine left to drink. Unfortunate
Very surprised at the very small portion of the ‘street food’. For £8+ would have expected more than a small starter size dish. Taste was ok but the pricing of drinks was also excessive! Sitting on a very small table on the street didn’t add to the experience!
On the booking confirmation, it was stated they don’t serve alcohol so to bring your own and pay corkage, which is fine. When we arrived with a bottle of wine that we’d purposely bought from a nearby shop, I was told this information on the booking is outdated, they now serve alcohol and we weren’t permitted to drink the wine we’d just bought. No real apology for this, given into account we’d bought something specifically and their error from the booking confirmation. The temperature in the restaurant was absolutely stifling, given it was a very hot day, I’m sure a member of staff could have bought a pedestal fan. People were genuinely walking out from bookings due to the heat. It was only bearable enough to eat our food and leave immediately afterwards. Arancini balls were nice, the gnocchi was bland. The only saving grace was the discount given the Eat Out, Help Out scheme. Really disappointing meal out. Won’t be returning or recommending.
Lovely traditional Italian cuisine
The staff here are lovely, the drinks are good too.
BUT, the food is insanely over priced and honestly the worst food i’ve ever had. It was obviously reheated, in no way fresh, the lasagne was dry. The gnocchi was sloppy. The chips were mccain’s (which cost £4.20).
And we were seated on a tiny 2 person table (there was 4 of us).
If you’re going for drinks then I would say try the espresso martini, it’s lovely.
But the food was arguable the worst Italian food I have ever tasted. M&S microwave pastas would be an improvement.
Lovely staff .. great food
Wonderful staff and delicious food. Really enjoyed our night. We shall find again.
Amazing good, good portions and lovely wine. The arancini was incredible. Would definitely recommend.
Cute little place - will be coming back for sure for the delicious food and super friendly service. BYOB in Manchester city centre too!
the reviews were good, so i book it for a birthday. the experience was NOT GOOD
They had the radio very high in the kitchen with hip hop and rap music nearly all the time, we asked them to change it first answer was they couldnt it was the radio
It was very cold we had dinner with the jackets on
the nyoquis were overcooked
the lasagna didnt had salt
the carbonara taste is awful
nothing of the food is homemade, everything is prepacked they just mix it in the pot
they told us we needed to bring our own alcohol once we were already there, so we needed to go to the restaurant at night, and after with the bill they charged us 2.5 libras per bottle, even we didnt opened them all!! and without telling us in advance!!
the service is dedicated, but they really need a long way to improve
the tiramissu of coffe was very very good.
but i really dont recommend it at all.
Dear Cristina, I'm disappointed about your review. Is impossible you didn't know about the bring your own policy and the small fee we charge for the service (2.5 pounds per person), is written in big in reservation page. Plus in the confirmation email we sent you is written again, we don't sell alcohol for policy so you can come with your own bottle., that is pretty fair policy That night there was no food left in your plates so seems to me strange you didn't liked the food.
Lovely little tucked away place. Delicious authentic Italian food, amazing tiramisu! Definitely recommend to everyone!
A gem of a place- unpretentious, home cooking at a bargain price in the Northern Quarter
Amazing food, weather it is breakfast lunch or dinner, service impeccable always, Rosa the waitress is so informative regarding all the menu details, also makes you believe your eating 5 star dinning.
Overall everybody I have taken agree to the above, a speacial find.
I was a bit disappointed. Cross between cafe and a sandwich shop. The food was good and tasty but the portions were small and there was a much smaller menu than I saw online. OK for a light lunch
A great little Italian cafe style eatery. After a delightful welcome by the owner, Carmen the staff gave attentive and personalised service throughout our stay there. The food was authentic, especially the Sicilian starters which very tasty as were the mains. Unfortunately, we were both too full to try the Tiramisu which looked really good. And you can BYO which was great. We will be back!
Real quirky little place friendly staff great home cooked food and good value for money
A very small restaurant (only three tables, plus a few seats along one wall!). It is fun and quirky, with good food and lovely staff. If you want to eat somewhere really different, I would recommend this great little place.
The atmosphere is warm, traditional and real feel of Italy.
Food is amazing and extremely tasty
We had Arancin Ragu', Arancino Spinach ,Lasagna, Parmigiana homely food very reasonably priced as well.
We cannot recommend enough, will return again.
The food was delicious. We had Parmigiana, Lasagna, Gnocchi Ragu', Cannelloni and everything was superb. The staff was very friendly we had a great night here. Highly recommended
Lovely place, very authentic Italian food, the staff were so friendly and attentive
Amazing tiramisu'... Will definitely be back! Highly recommended.
Consigliatissimo! Ho trascorso qualche giorno a Manchester, dove studia mia figlia.
What a find! This place is amazing. Authentic homemade Italian food plus Sicilian Rosticceria (Arancini, Cartocciate, Bombe, Cannoli, Treccie pistacchio, Iris). Delicious. We tried Arancino Ragu' and Spinach as starters (fried at the moment) really crunchy with the cheese melted. I had Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, amazing and my boyfriend had Tagliatelle alla Bolognese.
We finished with Tiramisu' (BEST in Manchester) and Cannolo Ricotta with pistachio flakes.
I love William Sicilian Street Food. Nothing compared to that food in the city.
Staff friendly and engaging.
We will come back soon.
The Restaurant is a little gem, cosy with warm lights and candles every table
Lovely, hidden, cosy gem at the back of Piccadilly. I booked because of the excellent reviews on Trip and food is amazing, delicious. Different from what you can find in the city, street food from Sicily is interesting.Homemade pasta very tasty. I had an arancini as starter and spaghetti bolognese as main and tiramisu to finish.
Beautiful staff very welcoming. The restaurant is small but really cosy and pretty in terms of decorations.
Soft lights, candle on the table and Italian traditional music that's make the atmosphere relaxed.
The food was very poor quality, even though all we could hear was the food being warmed in a microwave the centre of my food was stone cold, hope you want parmesan all over your food as that is how it comes out the kitchen.
Amazing Italian and Sicilian Food. Delicious food fresh and authentic. We tried Arancini first of all and lasagna as well, delicious. I can suggest also cannoli and tiramisu. We will come back for sure. Very quite and nice ambient. There was Rosa very friendly who explain to us all the dishes. It's a place done with love and passion you can feel it.
