Silent Pool Bar
Drawn by a common passion for craft distilling, a group of friends came together to create a new kind of distillery, producing handcrafted, artisan spirits with uncompromising quality. In an extraordinary location on the Duke of Northumberland’s Albury Estate, a group of dilapidated farm buildings on the banks of the legendary Silent Pool has been transformed to become the home of the Silent Pool Distillers.
The Pool Bar is an entirely outdoor bar located on our cosy patio terrace overlooking the stunning Silent Pool next to our distillery. Come and join us for drinks and nibbles in this spectacular location. Booking is strongly advised, but a small number of walk ins can be accommodated. Take a look at our menu to see the delicious range of drinks and snacks on offer.

Great place to try local gin, beer & food in peaceful surroundings.
we had a lovely afternoon sitting overlooking the quiet waters of silent pools sipping delicious gin and tonics the staff were absolutely wonderful
Lovely way to spend an hour or so sipping cocktails whilst overlooking the pool.
You have a choice of having your drink in a paper cup or for a bit extra in a glass which you then take home.
If you like Gin, and a beautiful setting plus a good choice of locally sourced Indian food or cheese, then this is the place for you. Book to make sure you get a table
Beautiful location. Chairs with backs brought out for us, much appreciated, as they were requested! lovely evening
I have to say the staff were very friendly and attentive. However, being charged to drink out of a glass was extremely disappointed so we opt for paper cups! Yes they were silent pool paper cups but I am a grown up! Also a friend choose a cocktail which had Prosecco in it. It was clearly the end of the bottle and clearly flat and they weren’t opening anymore bottles. There was no problem changing the drink but having spent £85 on drinks I expect better. Sorry we won’t be returning
It was very busy at lunchtime and 2 meals came out after other 2 had finished. We were not in a hurry so wasn't really an issue.
Lovely spot overlooking silent pool, nice cold drinks too.
A great lunch with lovely and attentive staff
Only downside was the gin tour walking past and in close proximity to diners
Had a fantastic day at the Silent Pool Bar after enjoying the Tour around the Gin Distillery, I would highly recommend this for anyone.
Very interesting and informative distillery tour.
Food fresh and amazing.
Drinks refreshing and cocktails well made.
Staff extremely friendly and clearly enjoy and are good at what they do.
Can't fault it at all, I will be back.
Service was great and the waiter was friendly. Food was expensive for what you got but my friends & I had a lovely afternoon out at Silent Pool
Lovely location and the best gin around Food from Mandiras Kitchen especially good Very enjoyable couple of hours spent over lunch
Will be going back .
Lovely setting with great staff and service. Samosas were great and cocktails interesting.
Food was nice (we had the Indian menu) & the young man that served us was very polite & helpful.
They need to upgrade the seating as it was very hard & uncomfortable but apart from that we had a good experience even though the weather wasn’t the best that day.
The food is supplied by Mandira’s kitchen which is an Indian place next door. Or you can order the Silent Pool ploughman’s. We opted for Indian and it was delicious, although portions were small for the money. It was a great experience, but our table didn’t have any shade (most of the others did), so only 4 stars.
Lovely evening at the pool bar at the silent pool, great friendly service, covid safe and lovely food and drink, definitely visit again
Loved the setting
Shady so as outdoor you would need good weather
Lovely location with views overlooking The Silent Pool. Love the set up of the Pool Bar, and the fact that its informal and friendly. Lovely drinks, didnt eat this time, but def will next time. Absolutely loved it!
This place could be amazing with a few simple changes and good management. Welcome was non existent, waited ages to be even offered a drink, service incredibly slow, it wasn’t busy. Meal was served in a cardboard box by I do apologise but a very scruffy gentleman in workman type clothing. £10
For a ploughman’s in a box that looked like a child’s snack box. The front pool when arriving is filthy and has old flip flops and rubbish floating in it. Toilets are in blocks and were filthy. Staff were inattentive and bored. On a positive note your gin is lovely.
A lovely place to visit for a lovely relaxing glass or two of gin (other drinks available). Not to far from where we lived so we incorporated our drink with a dog walk.
Limited lunch menu but only just opened and not sure whether this will increase, saying that we did order some food and was very nice. The setting is beautiful, overlooking Silent Pool and the weather was lovely and warm. Would recommend.
We had the most fantastic experience at the pool bar! The staff were amazing at fitting us in without a booking and made the experience really personal and special. The location is gorgeous and the decor has been done beautifully. The drinks were delightful! Especially the frozen cocktails! I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Can’t fault it. Lovely staff and beautiful setting. Favourite gin and a veggie biriani that really was one of the best I’ve had. See you again soon. 😁
Low staff meant we waited to be seated for 10 mins, and ordering drinks another 10. But after that it was brilliant, all very friendly and beautiful place. Can’t wait to go back x
Obviously a new set-up and showed it. Really not geared up to deal with anything but a beer or G&T - no food offering at all except nibbles - Indian offering not available despite the web site saying it is. Staff tried hard, but it seems an ill prepared venture - with only portaloos and crude facilities.
Great service, great food. Proved expensive as was never going to drink gin out of a paper cup and therefore bought a glass. Loved the woolly seat covers. Make sure you book.
This was our first trip out after lockdown and it was every we could have hoped for and more! The staff who were working were incredible. The gin was superb and it was so beautiful. I can’t wait to go back again very soon.
Thank you Silent pool for an amazing night!
Really relaxing atmosphere, good food, reasonably priced drinks and great service.
