About
Siro's will open for the 2019 racing season on Thursday July 11th 2019 . We will remain open Wednesday through Sunday thruout the racing season to conclude on Sunday September !st.
When we showed up, the restaurant didn’t have our OpenTable reservation on their list and we had to wait 45mins to get seated.
After a start with a bakers dozen of fresh oysters, we moved to “Cannelloni of Smoked – Roasted Eggplant with Butter Poached Shrimp | Tomato Vinaigrette | Parmesan Basil Butter,” which was fantastic, a Lobster Paddy (which was a mini fish soufflé in rich butter), and finished with a shared entree of “Rarish Ahi Tuna Mignon with Sesame Crust | Melted Ginger Carrot | Teriyaki Glaze | Wasabi Butter.” The Ahi was over the top fantastic! Not only presented with class, it was buttery to cut and seared to absolute perfection! David outdid himself. Thanks to our spectacular server, Rachel, our attentive table team and Michael Stone, manager and more, for our amazing dining experience for a special birthday celebration! Oh, and let’s not forget the perfect crepe brûlée with fresh berries for dessert. Heavenly.
Dine there and love it before they close for the season!!
Very disappointed! Not the 'old' Siro's. Food is expensive and sub-par.
BestMeal2019!!!
Wonderful evening from start to finish... attentive, engaging staff ensured the experience was 5 star. We went to Siros because we had read that David Britton was the chef. (Memories of Springwater Bistro...) His food was amazing - in taste sensation as well as presentation. Our waiter skillfully guided us through the selection of courses and wine, with the resulting meal a lush feast of lobster, steak, greens and tempura shrimp. Mr. Britton completely outdid himself with a surprise off-the-menu chocolate soufflé with a rich grand marnier sauce...
I believe we consumed calories sufficient to fuel us for a few days - and I would jump at the chance to do it again!
Kudos to the new ownership team to have brought Siros back to glory... thank you to all members of the team that made the birthday dinner so memorable!
Excellent as always! Waiter was outstanding! A must visit when at the Spa!
Went to Siros for a romantic dinner after a day at Saratoga horse racing. So glad we did, it was perfect.
I had steak, my wife had salmon, Waitstaff in control and on top of their game, THE BEST MEAL OF THE TRIP, WE WILL RETURN!
THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. OUR WAITER WAS VERY ATTENTIVE, BUT THE KITCHEN OPERATION WAS A DISASTER IN TERMS OF GETTING FOOD OUT. WE HAD ABOUT AN HOUR BETWEEN APPETIZERS AND ENTREES. THERE IS CLEARLY A MANAGEMENT PROBLEM.
Siros is a classic post-race venue. The room is way cool. The service is very fine. The wine list is great. The food is average. With a top chef they get 5 stars all around. For now 3.5.
Server was crabby and seemed completely annoyed that we were even there. His support team was great, but he really ruined the experience and didn't listen to anything we asked for or wanted. He gave our friend with a shellfish and mushroom allergy a really hard time about modifying an order. Wine service was poor too, didn't even know what a decanter was. For the price is was deeply an unsatisfying experience.
Our server Adam was great and our after dinner drink with bartender Bri serving was awesome- what a sweetheart!
It’s always a fun day at Saratoga Sorings Racetrack and a stroll over to Siros ! Great ambiance inside at the Piano and then dinner ! Our waiter “ CHEECH“ was very attentive and had great jokes ! ( if only I could remember them !! )
Been going there on and off for years but haven't been in a few years. Was so looking forward to the dinner since I invited my 2 brothers and a friend. I and my friend ordered the Halibut which was overcooked and very dry. My brother had the short ribs which were also overcooked and my other brother had the Duck which he asked for extra crispy which they made right. the waiter was made aware of this but nothing was done. I will never eat there again.
Glad we went! Expensive.. but a nice experience to have had!
Siros is not totally back yet. We were seated about 45 minutes past our reservation time. It took almost 2 hours for our meals to be served. The steaks that were served appeared as if they had to run out to a food star at the last minute to purchase them. The shrimp cocktail was very good but needed cocktail sauce not this gourmet type of sauce that it was served with. The apologies by Siros was in order but I’ll need a little more positive feedback down the road to return again. It appears they aren’t prepared for busy nights so their guests suffer for it.
The new ownership doesn't seem to have a handle on running the premier restaurant of Saratoga. The menu is very plain. There is a seafood appetizer, all it is is Egg Fu Yung in a bechamel sauce though very expensive. Every facet of our meal was delivered luke warm, including the coffee. John, our waiter, was very apologetic and the best part of our meal. He was very entertaining and informative. I would avoid eating here this season and wait until next year.
We booked reservations for our anniversary to follow a day at the track. We have always wanted to go because it was the place to be. However, we were very disappointed. The food was not good at all. Everything was very bland and tasteless. My wife ordered the wasabi tuna and there was no taste whatsoever. I had the snapper which was cooked okay but there was no seasoning at all. It tasted like a plain piece of fish. Not what we were expecting at all. The server seemed to know that the dishes were bad but couldn’t say it. He had only been there for a week and seemed very surprised at much of the menu items and combinations. We ordered fish since most of the menu were fish dishes figuring that was their specialty. We were very wrong. While we’re were there several other tables walked out after looking at the menu so I’m guessing they weren’t impressed by the selections either. I would not recommend sinner to anyone else. Very disappointing to say the least.
Waitress was excellent. Food for the value was below average!
Perfect location if your going to the races, I had Halibut, my wife had scallops, I consider this the best restaurant in Saratoga, Fantastic service!
My wife and I have been dining at Siro's for several years every time we come up from Boston for the races, twice per summer. We always have had great dining experiences. Food, staff, ambiance are all fabulous. The best upscale dining in Saratoga. And the indoor bar with Woody and piano man is a treat.
Thank you to the elegant hosts, Michael, and John, who always make us feel special.
We'll see you Travers weekend. We already have our reservations.

Stopped in to see our good friend Kevin and the seasonal crew at Siro’s. Nice to see everyone back for the season! I ordered the eggplant and lobster appetizer, wow it was amazing! And my main course the curry red snapper equally as delightful!! We will definitely be heading back soon!
Been going there for 3 years now. Very energetic bar! Restaurant was just recently sold. Would like to see the menu expanded but the food we had was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and will definitely go back this year and continue to make it a must do during race season!
Absolutely outstanding! A must after a good day at the Spa!!!
Incredible food and excellent wait staff. The service was awesome, wait staff very nice and helpful.
superb service and great meals i had the chicken my wife had swordfish 5 star all the way, great location near the track
Tables were very close together. Wait staff could not get access to all guests to serve because of how close the tables were to others. Had to help pass plates and glasses because wait staff could not reach. Food was good. Would recommend a table against the wall for a better experience.
Too important for its own good. Maitre’d very officious and frankly somewhat rude. I would have liked to see a wine list rather than being given one of the most expensive available. Food quite good but no better than several other places in the springs. And finally way too many inebriated individuals. Very, very loud. Very, very expensive. Unlikely we will return.
Still going strong! Came to Siro's 10 years ago and had a great meal in a great atmosphere. Didn't think they would keep up the same quality after 10 years ago, especially with all the new restaurants popping up in the Saratoga area, but Siro's came through. Still has the same waiters and maitre d that come back every racing season year after year. Old world charm, great wine list and superb steak with great service.
Food was great. Server left something to be desired. A bit obnoxious and stuffy.
Siro's at Saratoga Racecourse's doorstep is the seven-week per year hot spot for post-race celebration and commiseration. Strongly recommended is the Moe's Beefsteak and Mozzarella appetizer which can easily satiate two diners. The Prosciutto and Melon was forgettable with bland meat and hard fruit. The two-rib Lamb Chop ($46) was wonderfully paired with au gratin potatoes and the Filet Mignon ($55) was more than enough to share a bite or two. Both were worthy of the best "Chop-House" fare. The Creme Brulee dessert was a typical custard with singed sugar.
The service and atmosphere at Siro's are really the story. Attentive and friendly staff abound with a steady stream of bar patrons looking for their 7:30pm table. Older, younger, dress-up, dressed-down, and everything in-between are part of the horsey-set during the Saratoga meeting. Be sure to have reservations for Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays - and they are recommended for other race days!
If you haven’t tried Siro’s in the past couple of years, it’s time to go again! The food was exceptional due to the father/son duo who are back in the kitchen! From the appetizers to dessert! It was great!
We enjoyed dinner at the end of July. The restaurant was extremely busy due to racing season. The food was excellent. We all enjoyed a different salad choice which had a nice presentation. Salmon and Swordfish were excellent, as well as the steak.
A time honored Saratoga Springs tradition.. Great having chef Tom Dillon redux and 'Stoney' back 'at the door'..
Food was good. Service was okay. Ordered a bottle of wine and could tell that the waiter was attempting to hide the cork, which indicated that the wine was not ideally stored. The wine turned out to be fine, but I think the waiter was deceitful. They did not have our reserved table ready. They gave us a table that was stuck in a corner, but the restaurant was at capacity, so it did not matter to the manager. The noise level is far to loud.
Local but our first time to Siro's. The food was good, not great though, and not worth the price. Plenty of other Saratoga Springs restaurants that are so much better. It's good after a day at the track if your trying to impress someone. Other than that, stick with the outside bar.
Best place in Saratoga for dinner after the Hose Races, I like that you can walk right there after the
racing, the waitstaff and menu is fantastic. Never a\less than perfection.
I cannot leave a review because the restaurant WAS CLOSED!!!! I made a reservation on open table for 5 people, and then a friend dropped out, so I called the restaurant to let them know that we would be 4 instead of 5. I got a strange message from a private individual with a heavy indian accent. I tried again with the phone number online, and received the same answering machine message. I happened to be in a store in Saratoga before our confirmed reservation, and mentioned where we were going for dinner. The shopkeeper informed me that Siros is only open during racing season.
This establishment should not post on opentable if they are closed. Ridiculous. We went to Salt and Char instead.
The food and service was outstanding! We return every Travers weekend.
Limited menu.
Very expensive. Much better places to eat in town.
Overrated. New owners are trying to live off the old Siro's reputation. Not at all like it was for years.
15 years...will not be back.
Siro's has the best food in Saratoga, hands down. It's crowded in track season, so make a reservation. They have great service also.
Makes you feel like you’re in Prohibition era Saratoga. Great bar and bartender. Food was excellent. Service attentive and friendly. Reservations in advance a must.
