Fade Street Social Wood Fired Menu & Cocktail Bar
Fade Street Social - The Gastro Bar
We have paired our food with a mix of some interesting wines from around the world which will further enhance customers experience. Our decor is distinctly casual made using a mix of hand-crafted reclaimed wood and wrought iron.
Our venue is spread over two floors with a windowed kitchen on the ground floor for any foodies interested in seeing our kitchen in action.
Terrible service. Food for the party arrived at different times and one guest did not receive their main. When we asked the waiter to check on it he never came back to us. When we asked a second time they said it would be 20-30 mins. This was 1.5 hrs after we ordered.
The food in Sisu is absolutely fabulous. I would definitely recommend the Chicken Gyozas and the A-GE Sushi Roll. The prices are fairly standard and the interior is very cute/romantic
Service was very slow but they were nice and friendly. The food was good. Spicy tuna roll was delicious. Atmosphere upstairs was only OK.
Very good (really) but just a super slow service, not for when you’re starving !
Really nice food, but menu a little limited outside of sushi.
The menu needs to be updated from what is online. The choice is not the same. It had been a few months previous and found the standard much better. It would be nice if the food could be served at the same time to all of the party. Although the food was very food I’m not sure I’d go back mainly based on the menu being much smaller than online and the drinks list had a lot crossed out in one as it was unavailable.
Fabulous unfussy and low key Japanese eatery in the heart of town with all the buzz and bars beside it and nearby. we had a table for 6 the service was good-natured attentive and polite. The food timing was perfect not too fast or slow with food and orders arriving. The Food itself was simple, delicious and very reasonable we all had lots of beers and two bottles of white wine and lots of sparkling water with our meal and we felt satisfied, healthy and happy at the end of our meal. we sat downstairs in the basement room which was minimalistic clean decor Not too many tables all of them were full with other diners and groups. Great atmosphere without being too loud or crowded. Will definitely return and recommend!
The food was great, really enjoyed it. I would recommend the restaurant to anyone who likes Japanese food.
The seat's are a bit small though, and it would be nice if a jug of water was left on the table instead of having to ask for a refill.
Food was excellent but same cannot be said for the rest unfortunately...
We made a booking for 8:45 and were not seated til 9:10. No apology. They seemed really disorganised.
Staff understanding of English was too basic. On multiple occasions they didn’t understand myself and my guests.
Asked for slimline tonic & they didn’t have it.
Prosecco was served in wine glasses because they ran out.
Our table wasn’t ready. We waited over 30 mins.
I've eaten here a number of times and always find the food absolutely delicious the service is always efficient & a pleasant atmosphere. No matter what we order it's really super quality food and that's why we keep coming back.
It was AMAZING! My boyfriend and I went there for my birthday 2 days ago and we loved it! We loved the food and everything around the restaurant! What a pity that we don’t have this restaurant in our home city...! Thanks a lot for the sushi!!!!!! It IS tasty.
Second time eating here with a group of friends. Making and changing the booking online was easy. Food was great; only downside is that it's not byob as it was the last time we were there and only realised when we arrived. Was one of the main reasons we booked so was a bit disappointing and might turn us off returning.
Food was great but arrived at different times. All starters and mains arrived together but for a table of 6 people we had food arrive slowly over 20 minutes. The first dishes were cold by the time the other dishes were arriving.
Asked for water for the table and it never arrived.
Slow service generally but very polite staff, they just need to be more attentive.
Great food and value
Upstairs is darker and has more vibe to it so book up there if you can.
Dishes were hit or miss, some were pretty good (katsu curry, eal) and others a big miss (tuna sashimi).
It was ok for a night out but I won't be back for the food.
The lunch bento box was really good with a good value and overall the food was delicious. However the other food, apart from the bento box, might be slightly overpriced. If you want to order sushi, the food portions could be awkward as it is not filling enough. However, if you order 1/2 other items, it might be too much. Also the in-house menu is quite different with the online one. Not enough staff - waited for some assistance a few times.
Really tasty food, BYOB, loud music, service not great, main course came before we finished starters
Nice food, but food comes out very slowly. I have been here about 6 times and each time it is very slow
Not fresh and only sushi offered was salmon and tuna
Wouldn’t rate the food, far superior Japanese restaurants in the city
Great little sushi bar where you can see the chef cooking food in the kitchen. Service very good & food fast & efficient. Not the best sushi place I’ve been to in Dublin but ideal for lunch or a quick bite to eat
Really nice food! Reasonably priced, staff were lovely. Place we were seated was a bit compact for 5 but other than that I highly recommend!
This place is now my favorite restaurant for Japanese food. Seriously good bento box.
Food wasn’t great, and service was even worse. We ordered a starter and a main each, my starter and main came out at the same time while my friend’s starter came out ten minutes later.
Lovely interior, staff were very friendly but unfortunately would not recommend.
Despite having booked n advance we were put in the table inside the door which is draughty.
Food wasn’t great.
It's a fair venue in downtown Dublin, with decent food (no pickled egg in my ramen, although it was on the food description and it is expected in a bowl like that). The waiting service was obviously non experienced (although very friendly), the menu was short as a lot of the options were not available on the day (especially from the drinks menu). This place is an ok choice, however, given the options of Izakaya places in the vicinity, this one would not be on the top of my list.
Have been for lunch twice and really enjoyed the sushi sashimi bento. But that’s not available in dinner menu - although it’s shown on the printed menu. I ended up ordering two main courses ... I was hungry ... but that ends up being €30 for 2*mains which is probably ok. Bentos are great the other dishes fine but less exceptional. Service is always excellent.
Best sushi in Dublin! Great quality food at a reasonable price.
We went on a Friday after work. I'd recommeng going for freshly made sushi. Bento boxes (not available at dinner which I urge the owners to reconsider) look really good from photos we saw before going.
We had gzoya, katsu chicken curry and pork ramen in miso soup. Expected miso to be salty and ramen to be thick and spicy. Quite plain and shockingly not salty enough. Gzoya and katsu were nice but unremarkable. Sushi was being made fresh in front of us and seemed to be what everyone else was getting. Kirin beer was on menu but not available. Sake was nice.
Decor is cool, quite Japanese but not trying too hard and staff were friendly and quick.
We ordered the rainbow roll, the chicken gyoza, edamame, kimchi and chicken skewers. The food was not great. The sushi didn't seem very well made or really fresh. The edamame portion was quite small also and the kimchi lacked real flavour. The chicken skewers were barely cooked and therefore tasted unusual and jelly-like. We ordered a glass of prosecco too and weirdly only got half a glass. The staff were nice although inexperienced. Toilet facilities were awful. Disappointing because I'd heard good things about the restaurant. Perhaps I was there on an off-night but I won't be going back to find out.
The food was excellent, especially the seven spice calamari. Highly recommended.
Very helpful and caring staff. Food was tasty. Overall pleasant experience.
The food was delicious. Very fresh, great menu choice, a good alternative to the typical Japanese restaurants in Dublin.
Sisu Izakaya had very nice food and was accommodating when I let them know I had another person joining the table. We were a little squashed but the atmosphere and food were good overall.
I ordered a Korokee and waitress said she’ll comfort if they got it, and until I finished other dishes, there’s no reply! And chicken karaage and goyza are all not that good...
Excellent food, great value, top class service 👌
Staff were very polite.
My Chicken Gyoza starter was very tasty and my wife's starter was also delicious.
I'd the Tonkotsu Ramen for my main and my wife had the Chicken Katsu Curry. She enjoyed hers and my Ramen was simply great, full of flavour.
Ambiance was very relaxing and we will certainly be back.
The food was extremely delicious and flavorful. However, the service was extremely rude. We were forced to leave after 2 hours, while we were still enjoying drinks. When I booked the table, they did not mention a 2 hour time limit. This is something that the customer should be informed of when booking the reservation, and not during our dinner, that too while entertaining our guests. This is extremely inconsiderate treatment of your paying customers, and I will think twice about ever coming back.
