In partnership with chef to the stars, Tom Sellers, welcome to Restaurant Six.
Trent Bridge has been providing a warm, friendly welcome since 1838 - and they won’t be stopping any time soon.
Six is cooking modern British food with a menu that offers a dining experience of the highest order, with an evolving cast of Six starters, Six mains and Six desserts.
There’s something for everyone, featuring a canny mixture of meats, seafood and vegetarian fayre and dietary requirements catered for with relish.
When it comes to liquid refreshment, the spirit library is colossal, the cocktails are crafted with flair, the beers are nothing less than premium and Six's wines are selected by some of the finest sommeliers in the land.
We had a 7pm booking and it was a little quiet, I would advise people to have dinner a little later.
Amazing experience. Very good food and very good service. Very relaxed and unique venue. Will remember this lunch for a long time.
Celebrated my husband’s birthday here as a couple on Wednesday evening. Great food and the service was fantastic. We expected it to be quiet as it was mid week but the restaurant did lack ambience. I’m sure during the day when you can see view of the grounds and it’s busy for corporate entertaining it would be excellent, but for an evening venue when it’s dark it was far too sparse. Just a candle on each of the tables would have made a huge difference. The bar area is really cool and well styled, but the restaurant area just felt like it wasn’t quite there. Can’t fault the food though!
Went for Sunday lunch with friends the experience was great, the food excellent the views of the cricket was stunning, the wine prices were really reasonable for the standard of the restaurant.
We find it difficult to find decent restaurants in Nottingham but the Six is worth a visit and I look forward to trying out the lunch and dinner menu
Excellent food, drinks and service. Stylish decor. Amazing views. We will definitely be back.
Another fabulous dining experience at Six. The food and drinks are superb and good value for the quality of everything. Atmosphere is amazing with such fabulous views and modern décor. All staff are lovely and there are some great very passionate professional members of the team too.
Fabulous food and really good service. The bar has a really good feel with original cocktails.
Fantastic, quality food and fantastic service.
The view from this restaurant is spectacular. Made even better by the quiet efficient service and delicious food. Cocktails before dinner just made it a very special occasion.
Six has been much improved since our visit soon after opening. For cricket lovers there are now more tables with a good view of the game. Service is both attentive and efficient. Food is interesting and well cooked. Portions of some choices really are too small ( I usually ask for small portions in restaurants as I have a small appetite. ) The game consommé starter was delicious but could be eaten in four spoonfuls. However portions of other dishes were adequate.
One small point - the tables in the window had no decoration at all, just a plain white tablecloth. This seemed a little spartan given the overall decor.
Overall however an excellent evening.
Great location with fabulous panoramic views.
Food was delightful.
Whilst I had a really lovely time at Six, I unfortunately wasn’t blown away by the food. I expected the quality to be of a really high standard but I have had much nicer food at other restaurants.
The bar area was really nice and the cocktails were amazing. I would definitely return to the bar but again, the restaurant was disappointing as it lacked atmosphere and ambience. This probably wasn't helped by the fact that there were only 2 other tables occupied and the rest of the restaurant was empty. I would return if I knew it was going to be busier and the food of a higher quality.
We had to check if all our wine was finish at the end of the evening after dessert and coffee.. both bottles had wine left.. we should not have had to ask this question. In addition I think we under ordered sides.. would have been better for waiter to advise or recommend sides as there was four of us and we only ordered 2 sides.. should have ordered at least 4 . Other than that, it was a lovely evening and we will come again .
Stunning venue, exquisite food and excellent service.
Wonderful food and ambiance. I will be booking again.
Excellent 25th anniversary celebration meal. Great food, superb cocktails and great service. Highly recommended
A quiet mid-week lunchtime where we both sampled the fixed price 3 course set lunch. A choice of 4 dishes was offered for each course, including vegetarian options for starters and mains and cheese for dessert. The food was tasty and very well cooked and presented, though portions are not large and, with a price of £29 for the 3 course menu, the value for money aspect is perhaps no better than average. There is an interesting wine list, offering plenty of choice from both the old world and new. And there is a very pleasant bar area for drinks and coffee before and after your meal. The service was a pleasant blend of friendly informality and efficiency, though they were under no pressure and I had to point out that , when it arrived, the bill had omitted our bottle of wine!
The restaurant's USP is obviously the venue itself - perched on top of the Radcliffe Road stand of Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, with panoramic views over the ground itself - sadly the only activity ongoing when we were there was the ground staff preparing the pitch for the following weekend's cricket - and beyond. Perhaps worth a return visit at a busier time, to test the service then and to see some action on the field of play.
Poor value. Ordered a coke full of ice, felt like McDonald's more ice than coke.
If your partner is male you will need to order 3 courses due to small portions. Vegetables to share not enough.
The food and wine were excellent and the setting of the restaurant is outstanding. The greeting on arrival was also special, and the serving staff were very friendly. The attention to detail, however, requires some work. We arrived at noon and the day’s menu had not yet been printed, so we were given the previous day’s menu and were told what had changed. Our first choice of red wine also turned out not to be available, and we were offered “something similar”, but on trying it we decided to make an alternative selection. The wine was taken away from the table after we’d tasted and approved it, and unfortunately we had to ask repeatedly for it to be brought back to our table for our glasses to be replenished, on one occasion necessitating my husband having to leave the table to seek out the whereabouts of the bottle. A restaurant of the calibre of Six should have these details under tight control.
Amazing food and service. A great view of the pitch.
Felt the atmosphere in the restaurant was a little flat and I was expecting more from the interior within the dining area. The temperature was too cold for me so didn't enjoy my experience as much as I should of! The bar area was tasteful and we'll presented the staff were a credit to the restaurant, the food tasted amazing overall I think the interior didn't measure up to the service and food!
Really enjoyed Six. Service didn’t get off to a great start in the bar, but once in the restaurant service was impeccable. Food was excellent and views were outstanding.
Superb location, augmented by delicious food and excellent service, long may it continue!
Also the ability to just go in for a drink (or book a bar table for drinks only) when the gin and tonic was top quality and more reasonable than the local bar competition is super - what a view too!
Lovely food and drinks. A great location with tremendous views. Very good service. We had a very nice evening.
A unique atmosphere due to all the spectacular views. Food and service is great
Innovative food, cool decor, very friendly and helpful staff.
Great experience with great food.
Made very welcome by all the staff
Fabulous place to eat, we were there for our anniversary , lovely food and very well looked after, a real treat.
Amazing place, staff and food .
Would definitely recommend .
Excellent!! We had a fantastic lunch. Great food. Knowledgeable staff. Thanks
I would recommend SIX for drinks as the bar area looks fantastic and staff serving drinks were really knowledgable and helpful. We were all disappointed with the food. Two starters arrived cold and replaced but our other diners had finished so we were eating at different times, the table constantly wobbled and we asked for this to be fixed but it never happened, portions were very small and we left hungry.
Amazing experience from the time Micheal took us up to the 6th floor to when we left. Attention to details excellent, ambience superb, choice of food matched what we wanted and the taste and presentation- just spot on.
We booked a meal at Six as it looked amazing on the website and the google reviews were all five stars. Whilst we were wowed by the views from the venue, the bar staff / service, as well as the drinks, we weren’t wowed by the food or the restaurant staff. The starters were tasty but unfortunately the ham hock terrine had a large lump of bone in it. We waited a long time for the mains which the waitress apologised for but when they did come they were cold. We sent them back and they came back warmer after a while but the sides came out after the mains so we started eating as we were so hungry. We were offered a free drink and free desserts as an apology but then this was not taken off the bill so we had to remind the staff again. The waitress was lovely but we feel that the staff need training in how to be discreet and more professional when you’re paying high end prices for a restaurant experience.
Great venue, well decorated and furnished with plenty of room between tables both in the bar and restaurant.
Welcome by front of house and subsequent table service from him great. Bar service initially good but we had to wait too long for our drinks order to be taken. The Hedgerow was indeed Ribena like. My White Rose was better but needed a stir.
Food was tasty with highlights being lemon sole and chocolate delice. Wine size was incorrect for one of us but not a major issue. However if you can't remember something write it down!
Similar prices to La Rock. Bread and water free but bread not offered again. Their sides are cheaper and more plentiful as well as 2 amuse bouche and a palate cleanser. I fed this back on the day as they're clearly keen to keep learning and improving in these early stages.
It's a great central location and a positive addition to the Notts restaurant scene.
Some minor tweaks and it'll be a cracker.
I look forward to coming back
Ps we were told no shorts or trainers so keep it smart yet saw a man wearing both! Be more specific than smart casual if you want to keep it smarter though personally don't like dress codes!
Friendly courteous staff, food excellent however one starter was not ready in time so we had to substitute it for another. main course good
desserts excellent and a wide choice of wines we chose the white "Renishaw Hall" one and was impressed the crowning glory was the strawberries and cream magnificent
Thoroughly recommend the venue at SIX. It will be a big hit in Nottingham.
Five star service from starters though mains and on to dessert, nothing was to much trouble then afternoon watching the cricket with a great view.
Lovely restaurant and great views over West Bridgford. Great place to lunch on a sunny day.
Delicious food in a fabulous location. We will definitely be back.
The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. However, the place lacked atmosphere because there were so few diners. The food was very good but when the menu stayed ‘scallops’ and only one was served it is disappointing.
This place wows from the start, with a member of staff greeting you at the entrance, taking you up in the lift. We had a cocktail in the bar first, a very impressive room with superb views across Nottingham and beyond and sliding doors into a lovely outside terrace.
The food really was very special, a great blend of flavours, all presented perfectly. The service was generally very good, just the odd minor hiccup, and the surroundings were very cool.
Overall a really great experience.
