Had a great birthday meal, thank you very much. Excellent food and service and great cocktails and wine list. Determined to come back when the restaurant re-opens. To all the staff - Keep safe and we will get through this!
We had a fab time and the waitresses were very attentive without you noticing they are there which is rare to find these days. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the food was also amazing.
The location and service was excellent, The food was very good but portions a little too small and overpriced. Overall I would recommend it but with the warning about the cost. The only Criticism was automatically including a service charge on the bill. It is for the customer to decide if and how much to pay.
Fabulous setting and great service, will definitely visit again.
It was our first time and my partner and the food was smashing. Looking forward to come again probably when chef Exosē is there too. Thank you for a great service.
Enjoyed our meal. Want to come back when there is some cricket on.
Our 3rd visit and food and overall value continues to be very good complemented by stunning view and ambiance. If 6 wishes to continue to develop and receive further recognition some aspects of the staff service needs to be more switched on to what you would expect at high end dining. Feels a bit like they are doing a job not fully delivering an experience
Great service with a relaxed ambience, very good food and a contemporary light and airy space with great views.
Superb venue, food was outstanding and the service was exquisite. The venue was to tranquil and the views made the evening memorable. defiantly be back for a day meal, possibly Sunday lunch. Thank you again for making it feel special, especially with my wife's food allergies. It was excellent.
Lovely restaurant and great service. Food was lovely as was the presentation. Would recommend for fine dining
Lovely Sunday lunch, maybe more than you would usually wish to spend but it was well worth it. Food, service and environment were all excellent.
Just one tiny, tiny gripe. We were there to celebrate a belated birthday of which they made a point of raising and the only gesture was having Happy Birthday written at the top of the menu. Without wanting to sound like a freeloader I would have expected a little more. I almost would have preferred them to not have acknowledged it at all.
All that aside, we had a fantastic experience, made all the better for the lovely sunny day which meant we could take full advantage of the views over the city.
Although they ran out of scallops for our starter (my son who was 21 that day was allowed the last portion!) the waiter couldn't do enough for us to make up for that and generally was so attentive all evening, it was a wonderful sublime meal and, as I said, service impeccible. As this was a special occasion, we couldn't have been hapiier, it was amazing!
If you want superb service, beautiful food this is the place. Informative staff, very polite and stylish venue.
Excellent lunch. Had the two course set price option which was great value considering the quality of the food.
We went here for a Sunday lunch. It's the first time we've been, but won't be the last. The food was great, the view lovely and the atmosphere just right.
overall the experience was very positive, I didnt think the room where we sat was ideal for a romantic meal, the tables were too big and the room very large and not very welcoming, the tables behind reception appeared much more appealing. it didnt ruin our evening but we did think more could have been done to make the room more atmospheric.
Really good quality fine dining in a fabulous venue. Service was top notch and being old fashioned when I'm paying this sort of money, linen tablecloths!! Thank you! Michelin quality although the price a little steep maybe, but was so nice lm not going to quibble. Hated service charge being added automatically, emotional blackmail. Only down point really
Lovely time at Six. We went on Valentines night for the taster menu. Food was really good, however the majority of the courses were fish and only one meat dish! We would have preferred an equal mixture! More meat!!
Overall though, lovely place for a nice meal.
Really lovely restaurant and relaxed atmosphere. Great service and the food is perfect. Highly recommend
Cocktail bar was so much better than the actual restaurant which was a bit average. Views amazing though and food lovely although a little expensive.
Loved the Library bar & thought the bar tenders were both excellent.
The dessert was the standout course, had the wow factor. Main was good but found the starter uninspiring & needs to be reviewed.
Staff were very good but when asked about a wine recommendation, the waitress looked a bit stunned, and went to get help. That needs sorting out. Would return.
If I could afford it, I would eat here every day for the rest of my life. Every course was something very special and the service was exceptional. Cocktails were delicious, even the non alcohol one that I had. It's probably better than Heaven.
We liked the private parking and the view. ambiance
excellent experience all round. As good, if not better than World Service.
The ambience was lovely and the staff attentive. However, the hefty price tag does not match the quality of the food at all.
£4 for 2 small glasses of water. The bottle wasn’t even left on the table for us to finish.
My one glass of wine cost £10. I could buy the same bottle for under this price.
My chicken was average and the veg very average. Certainly not worth £26 each for a main and £7 for 2 side dishes.
The waitress came over after our mains were cleared to brush any crumbs from the table. I would rather have less attention with Just good quality food at a more reasonable price. There was also no need for the waitress who brought our food over to talk through exactly what we’d ordered again. We know what we ordered.
I give credit where credit is due, but I’m sorry this is my honest opinion.
The food and service was excellent and very good value for money. It would have been nicer if it were a bit noisier, giving it a bit more of an atmosphere.
Everything about the evening was excellent. From the quality of the food to the service in both the bar area and restaurant. It was a birthday meal for my wife and we both agree that we would recommend Six to anyone.
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Six. The cocktails were very good, the food was amazing, very very tasty and well presented. The wine was filled on a regular basis so no empty glasses. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
Fantastic restaurant, brilliant location and the staff were great.
We had the lunch menu and although slightly limited the food was excellent. Staff were friendly. Bar area was chic, cosy and comfortable. Disappointed with the Rose Wine I ordered - please remember there are some discerning Rose drinkers! Very disappointed with the ambience of the restaurant. However it was a dull January lunchtime and I’m sure it would be more pleasant in the evening with appropriate lighting and on a summers day with plenty of match atmosphere. Maybe some soft furnishings just for winter months would make it a more pleasant experience for diners.
Food v tasty and great work providing good options for a dairy allergy member of the group. Main course of fish portion (sea bass) rather small albeit great flavours.
Potato side was too rich (terrine including cheese).
Starters and desert excellent.
Great venue with good atmosphere. Efficient professional service. Quality food including one of the best duck dishes we have experienced. Just one minor issue to raise was that the beautiful game consommé was poured into a cold dish which cooled it down rapidly.
the food was excellent would definitely come back
Waiting staff very friendly and helpful.
Restaurant was a bit cold! But the staff were happy to turn the thermostat up.
Although the food is normally very good, we have noticed that it’s never hot but just warm. On this occasion we all had to send our main courses back because they were cold. The staff are very young and I feel a little inexperienced and could do with some guidance on waiting on table’s.
Nice place but came away disappointed- the pre drink cocktails sounded great but delivered little. We ordered a sourdough one and a strawberry and rose one. The sourdough one didn’t deliver on the advertised taste but was served in a champagne glass, the strawberry & rose one was served without any strawberry taste, in a standard straight glass, with a single white rose petal in ... lame presentation. Both drinks tasted the same.
The menu was limited and when your paying £16 for a starter of scallop being presented with one cut up and some garnish -we felt short changed -same with the main courses -at nearly £30 a pop excluding sides - the portion size was definitely not value for money, three slices of duck and a minuscule piece of turbot. The dishes would have been fine had they been part of a tasting menu but they weren’t. The food was good but the size left a bitter taste. We have been to a few other fine dining restaurants so understand dishes aren’t normal size but this was disappointing. We skipped desert as again the thought of paying £9 each for something so small began to grate on us.
Sadly we won’t return or recommend -which is a shame.
A special night out reflects the value paid. Expensive if not an occasion. Loved looking over Trent Bridge. Will go back.
The staff were very friendly but discreet. The food was delicious. Corkage was high but the wine was extremely good.
We really enjoyed our meal at SIX. The food was delicious and service was great.
We found the restaurant a little chilly but the bar was lovely and warm.
Staff very attentive & overall a lovely meal.
Loved the attentiveness and knowledge of the staff, especially the wine specialist. The food was really good. Would love to see their tasting menu as a regular option.
Food was superb, couldn’t fault it. Service was very friendly and attentive but possibly not as accurate as other fine dining experiences. One thing I think is worth saying is that the interiors and lighting levels in the restaurant and bar are really lovely but when you need to go to the loo, it is bright and glaring and very much a commercial / retail / office style. Personally I think it is worth changing the style of this area to marry in with the rest of the high quality experience. Otherwise a lovely night out, and would definitely recommend.
