The restaurant has potential but definitely could use some tweaking. They need extra servers. Our server and hostess were excellent but seem overworked. The food was innovative but not great and especially for the price... My fish was tasteless and overpowered by a questionable sauce...Portions were very small for the price. I’m showing Grace due to Covid situation. It was very clean and I hope to see some additional staff to make the service match the price point. For the same price~Kirby’s and Bob’s offer a much better portion size and quality. Overall~it was ok. Our server’s attitude and joyful heart were the best part of the experience. They could also use an additional bartender on the weekends.
We started with cocktails. They Bombay Sapphire martini with blue cheese olives was excellent. Our server was very friendly, helpful, and took great care of us. The food is definitely the highlight. We had sweet the Texas caesar salad, potato enchiladas, a crab salad tamale, a filet, and sides of brussells sprouts, and crab mac and cheese. Those were all wonderful except we did not find even a trace of crab in the crab mac and cheese. I think it was a mistake that perhaps we received plain mac and cheese. They made it right immediately when we mentioned it. The filet was perfect to temperature and very tender. For dessert we a peanut butter dish served with a scoop of bacon ice cream. The dessert was very well done. If I had to pick out one thing that could be improved it is the ambiance. The restaurant is open to the large bar area so it is very bright and a bit loud depending on the crowd seated at the bar. I thinking turning down the lights and perhaps some type of separation between the dining and bar areas would make a huge difference. While the food and service was exceptional, it almost felt like dining in a busy airport as people were moving about the hotel. The seating could also use some booths rather than the tables. These are really just minor observations as the chef's creations more than make up for the issues with the ambience.
Mark, Thank you for your review! We are pleased you enjoyed your meal at Sky Creek Kitchen + Bar. Thank you for your observations, we will take them into consideration. We look forward to welcoming you back!
Great service and delicious food!
Wonderful experience. Will be going back regularly.
Sky Creek Kitchen inside the new Delta hotel is wonderful. The food and drink menus are innovative and the service is fantastic. The open kitchen adds a spectacle to dinner and the head chef checked in on us to make sure everything was to our liking. Notably, their wine list is superb and the pricing by the bottle is generous considering the caliber of the restaurant. Try the Bison Filet! You will not be disappointed. We will be back soon!
We were very excited to try and had seen good reviews.
The hostess was incredibly nice, warm, charming. Loved her.
Our server was awesome.
The bread and butter were amazing.
We ordered the oysters. They were cooked perfectly. The sauce was a bit too overwhelming for me but my wife loved them.
The server suggested the redfish so i ordered it.
My wife got the salmon.
The redfish was overcooked. The sauce on it was overpowering. Not good at all.
My wife's salmon was overcooked as well. Her Brussels sprouts were amazing.
Overall was excited with high hopes - left disappointed.

Party of 6. It took 2.5 hours to get our food. Our server would intentionally avoid making eye contact as she walked past our table. We finally asked for the pitcher of water on the table since we were always dry. We saw three of our plates--the $48 bison ribeye--under the heat lamp for a good 10-15 minutes before being brought to our table. As a result, the sweet potato enchiladas, a side of the bison, were cold and the steak was barely warm. I got the snapper. It was dry. The crab salad tamale that was served alongside was good. I would hesitate to go back considering what we paid for our meal/drinks (a LOT) with very little return. Bummed~

Service, quality of food . atmosphere were all excellent to outstanding . They paid the right amount of attention to us and I liked the menu. Chairs were comfortable and it had the feel and look of a classy restaurant.
We are so glad to have this top rated restaurant so close to home. Went there for Valentine's Day dinner, and everything was beautiful and delicious. Couldn't have had any better if we had traveled to Dallas or Fort Worth.
This was our first time at Sky Creek Kitchen, and we were very pleased with the service and quality of the food. We participated in the Valentine's weekend fixed price menu (4 course) and enjoyed every course. We will definitely return to try out the regular menu.
Thank you! We look forward to welcoming you back to Sky Creek!
This is a hidden gem in Southlake that we recently discovered. My husband & I had dinner to celebrate our 17 year wedding anniversary. We had excellent service from start to finish. The chef came out and greeted us and congratulated us on our anniversary.
For appetizers, we shared the Blue Corn Breaded Gulf Shore Oysters, the Roasted Chipotle Chicken Tortilla Soup and the Gulf Shrimp Soft Taco. For our entrees my husband had the Grilled Mopped Bison Ribeye and I had the Chili-Sorghum Glazed Lamb Shank. Our server suggested pairing our meals with a nice glass of red wine. We were so full and couldn’t fathom eating dessert but they blessed us with an Espresso Cookie and Vanilla Ice cream. We already booked a reservation for Valentine’s Day! Highly recommend, you would not be disappointed.
Amazing! Highly recommend. It’s nice to have another choice in Southlake
We have eaten here several times and this time was our least enjoyable time. Service was off, (so much so that we were offered complimentary bowls of the delicious tortilla soup - the entire table!); the fish was overcooked (maybe it sat too long in the pass) and bison ribeye was tough.
The drinks were fantastic as always and the wine list is great.
This was our first time at the Southlake Delta Hotel and Sky Creek Kitchen -- both are beautiful! The food, ambiance, and service at the restaurant were all terrific!
The bison steak was phenomenal, we will be coming back again!
The food was amazing! We had the lobster and shrimp nachos as an appetizer. The bread that they brought out was so good - a chile and cheese cornbread "cake" and a yeast roll (which we asked for one more of each - no shame here!) with smoked sea salted butter and a honeyed butter. I had a gulf shrimp taco for my main course (more like an enchilada - definitely not a hand-held taco), which was incredible, and my husband had the BBQ chicken, which he devoured. Everything was fabulous - we will definitely be back to try the bison ribeye - mouthwatering! The staff is so well-trained, and the chef was very welcoming. We are so happy to have Sky Creek Kitchen in Southlake!
Looking forward to more dinners here!
Amazing food and excellent service! Blackened Salmon,Beet and Goat cheese salad are my favorites...but I would go just for the fabulous chef made rolls, biscuits and honey butter! Save room for the Peanut Butter Bar for dessert!!
The food was absolutely outstanding. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet warm. We were greeted by the chef. He and Erica both were very helpful answering our questions about the menu and making recommendations. I must say the Sky Creek Margarita was the best margarita I’ve ever had!! Sky Creek Kitchen will definitely be a regular dining spot for us. Southlake is fortunate to have a chef of this caliber.
Excellent food with friendly and attentive service.
Nice place! We loved our bartender!
Had a wonderful meal at a hotel restaurant! Everything we tried and everyone who provided our service was outstanding. I always like to mention something that wasn't perfect just to keep the staff on their toes, but I can't think of anything. Maybe if we were more people, they don't have a wine list by the bottle. But for just two of us, on the day after New Years when we a bit weary of drinking, we wouldn't have ordered a bottle anyway.
The food is different and delicious. The shrimp taco starter was really interesting and tasty. Bison ribeye was tender and cooked to perfection the same goes for the Halibut.
Going to go back soon and taste the whole menu. Great wine list too.
Don’t let the fact that this is in a hotel fool you...we had an amazing meal here. The food was amazing, service was excellent, and the place is well decorated with good ambience. There are three tables up front similar to a “chefs table experience”...do that if you can. We had the lamb osso bucco (falling off the bone and perfectly cooked) and the halibut (delicious). Definitely worth a visit and there is a cute bar as well if you just want to go for drinks. Well appointed, great stuff...stars all around.
Food and service were excellent. The sauce on the bison was exceptional. Wine selection is very good, cocktails are superb and the staff made for a great dining experience. Definitely recommend.
We loved Sky Creek!! Incredible drink menu and delicious meal. We had the Texas Caesar salad and tortilla soup for starters - both were incredible and a twist on the typical dishes you would get anywhere. We also had the lamb with poblano grits and fried okra - unbelievable!! Fell off the bone. We also loved sitting right by the kitchen and watching them prepare the dishes. We will be back. Beautiful ambience and a great option for a lovely dining experience!
Great new Southlake restaurant. Everything we ate was excellent.
Food was very good but some was cool. Service good. Obviously a hotel restaurant
Great new restaurant for Southlake. Super staff. Food was very tasty.
Unfortunately, we caught them on a bad night. I believe they may have had much more business than anticipated. Some of this could have been that when we called to make reservations, we were told they were not needed. We later booked on Open Table just to be sure. We had hoped to order the lamb as we had heard great things about it but at 6pm on a Friday night we found out that they were out. Ordered Salmon and Hangar steak. Salmon was wonderful, steak more medium than medium rare....but good. Extremely long wait between appetizer and main (probably due to the unexpected business?). Disappointed no one from management came over to apologize for not having the lamb and the long wait for our mains. Believe this the experience was due to growing pains. We will go back again.
Outstanding meal! We are total foodies and are fans of Fearing’s in Dallas but don’t like the 30+ minute drive. We were so happy to hear of the recent opening of this restaurant. Chef Emam did not disappoint. My husband got the Caesar salad which he said was the best ever, followed by the Buffalo ribeye. I had the beet salad and the salmon which were both excellent! They brought us out a taster of the tortilla soup which is even better than chef Dean’s! This will be our new regular as it’s only 3 minutes from us.
The hotel is brand new and very clean. The restaurant is very clean. Be advised the menu on OpenTable does not match the menu In house as it’s been paired down due to Covid. The chef went out of his way to make me a crabcake which was wonderful. Their tortilla soup is different than others and very good. Would go back.
Had dinner at the new restaurant inside the Delta Marriott hotel in Southlake. Excellent food in a cool modern designed venue. The chef (who came out of retirement after working for Dean Fearing for 20 years) was super friendly and came around to talk with all of the guests. I had the halibut and a Caesar salad and my husband had oysters and steak. Everything was really good. Highly recommend!
