My friend and I had a lovely meal here. The steak, as always was fantastic and the staff attentive and polite. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant for an evening out.
Whilst the food was good, as one would expect, the service was incredibly slow. Well over an hour from ordering to food arriving. I understand this was itching, rather than waiter, problem. But no apologies; I think the waiters just hoped we would not notice.
Shame, this let the place down, and we will not go again.
Unfortunately my first experience with the restaurant was not the best.
Location is very good, the atmosphere was nice and quiet. Very comfortable and spacious.
The quality of food was not bad, but very poor in terms of quantities.
Service was the worst part. This is the only place in my life where I had to ask to talk to the manager because the waiting time for our food for more than 40 minutes. We basically had steaks.
The price is high vs the value of the food and the service.
The decor was lovely - enhanced the ambiance.
Potions medium which was fine for us ladies. Not too small though.
Service was a bit slow considering there were not many people.
Bathrooms could be nicer - not aligned with overall decor.
I would recommend as it also has an excellent location.
Everything is perfect ! Love it !
We did their January special which was excellent value for money. Great friendly service and good steak even though it was a bargain.
Great value special open table offer. Proper USDA meat, well presented.
This is a big restaurant and they are wanting to fill tables.
Good value, but pricey if you go off piste. If you can afford it go to Hawksmoor, the service and food are better. But if your happy with their special offer this is the place for you.
Excellent meal and service, shame we had to rush due to travel delays and theatre times
The restaurant was completely empty - though was told it was 'advisable' to book. For this reason It lacked atmosphere - but beautifully appointed. Food was good, and value was not bad for such a nice place. Waiter was a bit too reserved for my taste. But overall good.
Very pleasant evening spent at S&W. Whilst on the website the ‘vegetarian menu’ was advertised, in reality there were only limited options. My choice (roasted veg with polenta) was nice but I felt the menu could have been more extensive. My carnivore partner had the burger which I am reliably informed was fantastic. Be warned though: chips are an extra. There are no additions with your choose. We also had a portion of truffled mac n cheese. Both sides very tasty. Atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Would certainly visit again.
Excellent service and food quality.
Outstanding and consistent every visit. We come here every time we are in London. The service and attention to detail makes this one of the best steakhouses in the city. We highly recommend this restaurant and feel free to dine at their Boston home location as it is incredible too.
Positively the best steak I have eaten.
First class food, drink and service in lovely surroundings
Had the lunch offer of steak fries and cocktail for two for £40. The steak was outstanding and decent size. Fries and drinks fine. Ordered an extra salad, water and two espressos. All for £55. Excellent value for a business lunch
Had the pre-theatre menu, food was delicious, we had starters and steak. The service was really efficient and friendly, highly recommend.
Great atmosphere and food for a post matinee meal. The service was excellent, quality cocktails and wine and very good food.
Excellent service on what was a very quiet day in the restaurant
Nye, we had an absolute blast , the food , staff and ambiance , absolutely perfect. A lovely bar man made us a special cocktail that tasted amazing 😍, couldn’t of asked for a better night
Parfait emplacement et excellent repas !
A late choice for NYE after been let down by another restaurant who enforced a £180 six course tasting menu on all guests despite there being an a la carte option when initially reserving (Our two teenage daughters were with us - lucky to get them to eat two courses most days). On reflection, Smith & Wollensky would have been the better first choice. Chop house glam (upstairs/ground floor) for a dining room, wonderful food, great service and atmosphere. A la carte and NYE menus. We will definitely be back.
Nice pleasant way to spend new years eve. Service wasn't 100% but the restaurant was fairly busy
A really great venue tucked away on the embankment.
First visit on New Year’s Eve.
Hard to fault in any way.
Tremendous service from knowledgeable and friendly staff.
The best food I have ever eaten in London.
This restaurant is Abu, I had pork shoulder, no pork just a lump of fat. Not value for money, a posh attitude but just mediocre food st best. Would not recommend
Excellent dining experience on New Year's Eve. I perfect place to watch the revelers from the big glass windows.
Went for an early dinner on NYE and was not disappointed. The food was outstanding and the staff so friendly and accommodating.
Definitely going again.
The waiters are very kind, but they could serve us with water and wine when the glasses were empty
It is very expensive for what it is. There are better steak restaurants that I’d go to instead. Service was good.
A Big disappointment for their brand. I dined at their US branches 2-3 times. And I always had very positive experiences which also motivated me to try their branch in London. But unfortunately it’s not good at all. And definitely a very low mark for Value for money.
Excellent steak, excellent wine list. Good, knowledgeable service.
The food was good the service was excellent
Good meal. Not outstanding. Unimpressed by service, waiter new the bare minimum about the wine menu. For a meal that was £500+ for three of us I would expect more knowledge of the wine and food. Also over charged £30 on bill which in fairness they mentioned before we left was a mistake. Steaks were good.
Enjoyed dining at this London branch of this leading American steakhouse chain. Yes, it is quite expensive, but I found the food to be worth every penny. As well, service is great. My only problem with this establishment is that the music is too loud. While it was quite tasteful, it was still too loud for my liking. Still, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great steak in London!
Lovely food. Service could have been quicker at the start considering they were quiet.
The cocktails were not good at all and the food was average nothing special wouldn’t go back
First time here and we’ll definitely be back. The restaurant is big and bustling and has just the right vibe for a brasserie. The menu is a little limited, but the food was excellent. We didn’t have steaks but seeing the couple at the next table with theirs made us regret that choice as the meat looked perfect.
Was a lovely experience only downside were the chips, not hot or crispy.
Relaxing tasty breakfast in a great location by the Strand
Stupendous steaks, only concern was slow service and would not have had time for third course had we wanted it
