Excellent Steaks and Cocktails.

Had a fab family dinner at Smith and Wollenski. Service was impeccable as always, the food is great. It’s not the cheapest place to dine but the quality of the meat is top notch so you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend this venue.

Wonderful experience. I've had dinner a few times here and always been impressed, so this time we tried out the brunch option. Great food and really excellent service - couldn't recommend highly enough.

I’ve eaten here on previous occasions and always found it to be extremely good.
Our server on this particular occasion was outstanding, extremely knowledgeable regarding everything on the food and drinks menu.

The atmosphere was amazing, very unique and can’t be matched by any other restaurants in London. A proper American steakhouse, great dry-age steaks. The staff was super friendly, took his time to introduce each steaks and was very helpful. Overall, this is a must go.

Average at best!

Came on Friday with my girlfriend as this had been on our list for sometime. Started with two good martinis, the tuna tartare and the seared chilli and garlic shrimp. Nothing to complain about but could've had the same dishes anywhere and wouldn't be any difference in quality.

Now time for the mains and seeing as this is a 'steakhouse' I was expecting to be impressed. Surely this is their forte?

We were selecting from the USDA Prime Dry-Aged steak section. Prior to ordering we were told it would take up to 45mins to cook any of these steaks to medium rare and we settled on a classic T-Bone and a 'signature' bone-in ribeye. To accompany the steaks we had béarnaise and peppercorn sauces, creamed spinach, hashed potatoes and truffled mac and cheese.

The steaks turned up roughly 20mins after the order which is confusing as we ordered medium rare and medium. Plates were hot but the steaks were just bordering warm and also both rare. My T-bone was of average texture and taste but the ribeye was tough, had next to no marbling, took a lot of effort to cut and left a horrible metallic after taste.
The top layer of cheese on the mac and cheese was solidified and needed to be cut into with a knife, the spinach was OK but had gone cold within 5 mins and the potatoes were lukewarm and under cooked. To top it off the peppercorn sauce was watery so ended up sharing the béarnaise.

I can honestly say this was the biggest let down of any restaurant I've been to in terms of expectations. You can get a much better quality steak dinner for two thirds the cost in London, however, I doubt this is the sort of experience I'd get in the US branches.

If you like steak and to start seafood, this has to be the place to dine

S&W is just the best dining experience - even with the measures required to stay open during Covid they manage to be friendly, professional and caring.

Such a wonderful evening after a long time indoors to have the most perfect steak with a wonderful rich and smooth Malbec was a prefect way to start Christmas. Lots of safety precautions in place so felt comfortable.

Staff were friendly attentive but never in the way.

Some cocktails weren’t on the menu but they still made them. Service is next to none!

Had a wonderful time at S&W. My husband and I are regulars but it was nice to come back after the lockdown and have a chance to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. They gave us the best seats, a complimentary glass of champagne each to congratulate us and throughout the meal they were always kind, attentive to our needs and smiling. We always feel welcomed at S&W. We ordered the Tomahawk Steak with lobster and our favourite mac n cheese and creamed spinach sides. I don't need to comment on the ast and quality and all I can say is S&W definitely has the best steak in London. The ambiance, food and staff is awesome and you certainly won't be disappointed.

This restaurant was fantastic! Definitely visit if you’re a steak fanatic like myself.

A really great evening with awesome service and outstanding food!

We had a fantastic meal last weekend. The steak was absolutely delicious and the accompanying sides were equally tasty. The waiting staff were excellent and even presented us with a special surprise for dessert to celebrate our graduation! Will definitely be back soon!

Can not fault the quality of the service and the food. The only criticism would be about the size of the grilled lobster, it was more of a large prawn than a lobster. Everything else was excellent

It was my boyfriend's birthday and he wanted steak. He wasn't disappointed. He thoroughly enjoyed the fillet steak, we had a really nice table and very nice service. Really enjoyed the cocktails. My wine wasn't very cold but they replaced it quite quickly which was nice. Considering its steak restaurant I didn't expect a huge vegetarian menu. It was just beetroot Wellington which was average but I really enjoyed the dessert- getting fresh cream with my cake was the best end to our meal.

We have been to S&W before and it has to be one of the best places for steaks just like the ones we have in USA. In this difficult time, the staff wear face masks and the place is very Covid compliant. It is very reassuring.

Food is good - but why is the service sooooooo slow (multiple visits , always the same)

Goodmans does this better - better service , and better food and as a result they can charge more. C’mon S and W it’s not a complex menu and it’s not rocket science to serve your customers quickly ...... ps faster service turns over your tables quicker and makes you more money ....

I hadn’t been to S & W for a couple of years as had been frequenting Blacklock and Hawksmoor who also do great steak on a cheaper budget. That said, I had forgotten just how good S & W is from the food to the service to the cocktails and more. Delicious and well worth every penny spent. Will be returning very soon!

Birthday meal for my boyfriend. We were so excited to visit and get a sharing steak however we were told when pushing back our meal time, upon arrival or by the waiter that we needed to place our order before 8pm. This was such a shame as it was the reason we chose S&W and we arrived on time at 19.45.

Exquisite ambient, wonderful and spirited service and even the vegetarian food was fantastic
