The restaurant ask us to leave after 1 hour that we got there. No one ask us if we'd like to look at the desserts. Their food was really good, but it is not a good place to go out with friends or to have a date, because you need to sit down, order, eat and leave, really fast. I got extremely embarrassed, because I suggested to go there.
Food is absolutely delicious, highly recommend. Full of flavour!!!
Overall a fantastic meal, flavours were bang on, unique concepts and worth a visit if you don't mind a small hole in your pocket.
Interesting concept of the "wonton" crispy taco ceviche trout. Beautifully light and crunchy "wonton" with a refreshing mix of lightly vinegared trout. Although a bit heavy handed with the vinaigrette which resulted in a pool of juice which would then run down your arm, hopefully not staining your shirt.
For approx £15 per smoked meat dishes we were expecting a larger plate of meat in true southern style, but we were presented with A rib and 2 slices of brisket. Which were cooked to perfection and had a beautiful bark, but left quite a bit of room for more.
The tomato salad was a nice respite from the richness of two meat dishes. Not as fresh as I would have liked, as they tasted a bit riper than I would have liked, but would edible.
Dessert was top, beautiful salted caramel icecream but large chunky praline which were like Lego bricks in the mouth and a moist perfectly sauced sticky toffee pudding.
Love the pork belly and the beef briskets! The aubergine is also delicious!! However so sad to find out they’ve stopped serving pig tails (clearly haven’t been back in a while?!). Great venue regardless for hearty get together meal with friends!
Good food, really good flavors. Small portion for the price so I wouldn't go if I'm hungry but would definitely be back for nibbles
Amazing food. Disappointed to see the pigtails and the lamb gone from the menu!
great food, good service, good drinks. Sticky toffee out of this world
Had a great lunch and our waiter was very attentive.
Drinks were a bit slow and the beer selection was limited.
Music was quite annoying as we were sat in corner under speaker.
With some minor tweaks this place will be one of our go to’s for sure
Smokestak is one of my favorite bbq restaurants in London. The food is amazing, the brisket is yummmmmmm!
Portions were very small, I ordered brisket and it was two thin slabs. It tasted great but I wouldn't recommend at £13. The jacket potato with cheese was nice, it was like mashed potato inside jacket potato with loads of cheese.
Also the resturant is hard to find, there's no sign at the top
Food was delicious although small portions. It was a bit too loud inside and too much smoke outside. The seats were not comfortable. All that being said, we would go back for lunch and dinner again and again! Delicious food reasonably priced. And cool neighborhood!
Food excellent. Space was limited at the table which is my only reservation about the place. Great value, great vegetarian options to for a meaty barbecue joint
Tasty food, just nowhere near enough for the price.
My boyfriend studies on london and when I visit him it is always a pleasure to come and eat in this restaurant. The nourrite is delicious, the service fast and efficient. We love the concept. This is by far the best place we eat!
Really tasty food, but REALLY over-priced. Portions are small. My son went on to buy some street food in Brick Lane after our lunch. Food comes as it's ready, which they didn't explain to us, so we'd nearly finished our meager mains before our similarly meager sides arrived. I'd ordered a baked potato and half a potato arrived at £3.50! This place is aimed at people who don't eat a lot and have, I would say, more money than sense. Don't go here if you're hungry.
Carne ottima, servizio gentile, ambiente super
The food was well-cooked and delicious. Would have ordered more if we had space left in our stomachs! We ordered pigtails, ox cheeks, brisket, pork belly and charred greens to share. Everything was cooked to perfection, and for a smokehouse to cook their greens as well as their meat is rare and such a nice surprise. I've already recommended this place to friends and would happily go back again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Their system wasn’t in sync with Opentable’s so our reservation wasn’t confirmed, the restaurant was full and we had to sit outside in the cold.
But staff was friendly and the food is always great!
Of you love meat and BBQ, then this is the Mecca for you.
Great creative takes on BBQ with beautiful mouthwatering brisket
You can’t miss the buns! They are amazing!
Their rarebit potato was the most delicious thing I've ever eaten.
Best BBQ in London, menu could do with some variation in terms of sides. Attentive service, great cocktails, and smoky BBQ. Definitely a must try!
I booked a table for Saturday late afternoon, rocked up half an hour early and was seated without delay.
The service was friendly and efficient and the food, as always, was awesome!
Go and try the Brisket Bun. The big one. Fantastic. I also had the dry aged beef rib. All the sides were great too. If you like smoky, juicy, melt in the mouth meat this is the place to go.
Mixture of really nice dishes (mostly veggie) and some average ones from the meat selection
Lovely food, excellent helpful service and nice atmosphere. The brisket bun is truly special.
I love pretty much everything about this place, but the burnt peach old fashioned and the brisket buns are something special. Can’t recommend enough.
Such a great restaurant with excellent food
I lived the pig tails & ox cheeks. The beef ribs stopped conversation completely they were so delicious.
The seating wasn’t great as we were on a tiny table & I had to sit on a shelf. My partner was constant knocked by those passing.
I loved every moment of being their though. It was a really great experience.
No question that I’ll be back
Outstanding on everything!! Super cozi and cool atmosphere. The waiters were the best sympathy I found in recent years and the food was amazing, seriously, sooo good!
The Greatest steak restaurant in London
Best food ever - suitable for all kinds of occasions
We shared a sea bass wonton unusual but delicious and pigtails couldn't have the ox cheek because of my dairy intolerance which was a great pity We had Brisket Pork belly Aubergine and Charred greens which were all excellent and very tasty Nice Rioja and left well sated A great evening out Will be back
Nice but adds up quickly
Great place Nice food perfect service try the aubergine and the ox cheek
Nice meals, tasty and different. Interesting place to visit.
The ambience makes me feel like it’s a horror slaughter house but in a good way since it is a meat based place. The menu I had offered ox cheeks and I haven’t experienced a place that cooked this ingredient as well as this place. Another great dish that I believe that mesh Japanese and Modern Western taste together was the mackerel, this was perfectly cooked - it was simple, beautiful presented and consistent sized. I’ve wanted to try this place for quite some time and I’ve heard many amazing reviews, after tasting their food it was worth the wait. However, some of the dishes can be overly salted but that can be easily adjusted within the cooking process. Overall it was fantastic - the services by the staff there also was super friendly. I highly agree that services in restaurants elevate the experiencing of dining
