About

The Smoky Boys concept is all about great meat and big flavours. To create our dishes, we only use premium cuts of beef to gourmet grills and the best British lamb or chicken that we can find.
We take simple ingredients and make them seriously tasty. Our food will be served in a friendly, trendy and relaxed atmosphere. As a promise to you, Smoky Boys will only use the freshest and the best meat, which is then hand-cooked on our grill, just how you like it!
Diners who come to Smoky Boys can expect to see an array of gourmet burgers, such as Smoky BBQ burger and Smoky Beast burger on the menu. We will also be serving dishes such as steaks and hot dogs, with a selection of shakes and fresh fruit cocktails and sweet treats on the menu too.
We are excited to use our knowledge and experience of the London burger scene to bring something new and different to Amersham.
Smoky Boys looks forward to welcoming you to our Amersham restaurant!

The service was really poor, my Auntie and I were there for 15
Minutes before we were even asked what we wanted a drink, once we had ordered the food took 35 minutes to arrive and we had made it clear we were on an hour lunch break, by the time the food arrived we had literally 5 minutes to eat it, the waiter did not really have a clue as to what he was doing. I was not happy at all.

Great food, good value. The milkshakes aren’t huge but they taste great and the steak was was just as good too!

Really good ‘burger and ribs’ restaurant at a very reasonable price. Well worth a visit.

Great food, done really well with the space and good value, however 2.50 for a can of Fanta needs a rethink.

Food and service was excellent . The tables are very squashed and close together and not much room for the staff to get down the middle isle to serve peoples food. I was sat with my back to the isle and kept getting knocked as so close to table behind.

Prices are a bit steep for the steaks especially given the Cafe environment you are eating in. At the very least for the amount of money being charged for the steaks they should come with fires or a salad not just steak.

Very disappointing. I frequent the Smoky Boys in Watford and thought I'd try the new Amersham branch as it's closer, wish I never had. The chips were under cooked and had to go back, I have never had to send chips back.!The brisket was unlike anything I'd ever seems before and cooked in a manner that I'd never tasted before, it was a very thick slice and about 70% fat and hardly any red meat. The brisket also went back. The burgers didn't have the same taste that I'm used to at Smoky Boys.

My guess would be that this is a new branch and they're finding their feet, however, I won't be returning.

Food was lovely but maybe a little expensive as chips for example was extra.

Soft drinks were very expensive.

Would return but only for special occasions

By pure chance we ate in their restaurant in Watford a few months ago and was so impressed with the quality of the food and the ambience of the venue. So when they opened a branch in Amersham we were over the moon as this is closer to where we live. This restaurant lives up equally if not better to their sister restaurant in Watford, the food is superb the ambience is perfect and the staff are very friendly would recommend to anyone to give it a try. And they sell alcohol in this branch.

A shame that we felt rushed. We had prebooked but upon arrival at the restaurant we were not greeted for several minutes, it was almost as if too busy. We weren't even offered to order a drink at the bar whilst waiting.
When seated we ordered drinks, but these did not arrive for some time.
The waiter came to take food order and we still did not have drinks. Asked for table water, had to repeat request three times to get some.
The restaurant was a little overcrowded, people brushing past table edges etc. Everyone happy but just seemed a little stressed!
The food was excellent but service could be improved.

Great food, one of the best and tastiest burgers I have ever eaten and if you have a couple of side orders as well you will be very full. Friendly service, kids, teens and young adults should love it as well as older relaxed adults who love great burgers, would recommend the create your own choices.
It was noisy the night we went, music a little loud, but I think it may well have been turned up a couple of notches to drown out a particularly large and noisy group celebrating a Birthday. The drink prices are a little exxy but I find most places to be the same now.
It is cosy, not a great deal of room inside and we found the smell from the kitchen a bit overpowering, (char grilling fumes filled the restaurant at times), they need to use the extractors to better effect and re-cycle the air more often.
Overall a burger lovers dream but more a casual dining experience than for anything special, however, because of the size of the place I would definitely book a table rather than take a chance. I can see it becoming very popular with young groups eating before or after a night in the pub/bar. I will go again.

A good version of this ilk of restaurant. Good burger and ribs, good fries and an ok selection of milk shake. Tables are crammed in tight to maximise returns which makes it a bit "cosy" at times and the staff are just finding their feet (plenty of them and very helpful but just getting into their rhythm). Not set up for tiny kids (didn't see a high chair) and wouldn't take a pushchair as there is nowhere to put it. All that said we are delighted it's here as we've been saying Amersham needed a great burger joint since we arrived just over a year ago. We will definitely return but not with the kids.
