Enjoyed every moment! From the minute we walked in the door. Service was outstanding- Maddy did a fabulous job going over the menu. This was the first time returning since new ownership & was amazed with the overall feeling, service & food. We will be back.
My first time there but it won’t be the last. Everything was perfect for a romantic dinner!
One of our Favorite Sunday evening places to dine.
We made a reservation for 5:30 PM because Open Table said there were no tables available until 8:30 (Friday, October 23). You could have shot a cannon off and never hit anyone the entire time we were there. The restaurant was cold, as in temperature, we Had to ask to have the music turned down. I liked the music, it was just too loud. I guess it was early and the staff was gearing up for a busy Friday night. Then we had to ask for the fan to be turned down. When the food came, my scallops had a strong fishy smell, the pasta and sauce were cold but the scallops were hot. Guess my pasta sat while the scallops were cooked. They had grit as well. Guess I should have ordered something else. I would try the restaurant again. Get rid of Open Table reservations if they don’t really represent actual seating occupancy. I would have rather come for dinner at 6:30-7:00. We left at that time and there were tables open.
Very very impressed! The bone marrow appetizer was delicious, to my surprise. I was a little “meh” at first but so glad I tried it!
Fabulous food and drinks!
Great food, great service, but not enough Waite staff to get the timely service that is usually provides.
Little slow service food was good
Great food, excellent service. The staff were all so friendly and made us feel welcome and safe. Social distancing was observed and all employees wore mask
Ambiance was lovely - very cozy and service was very friendly. We ordered a split meal - salad and pork chop and bottle of wine. Wait staff - William and the hostess - were both good. But the meal took forever to get there. The salad came 30 minutes after we ordered it. 15minutes after salad we ASKED for bread - we wer getting hungry at that point Pork chop - which was delicious - came out note than an hour after we ordered. The restaurant wasn’t crowded but this kind of long drawn out service of the meal kinda crushed the experience.
It was a fair dining experience. It’s difficult to judge during this time but if you’re going to be open, be open. Dinner for four and we spent $400+; I expect to leave saying, “Wow, that was fantastic!” Eh. It was ok. It’s changed ownership so perhaps that’s the issue? Not sure. There are other restaurants in town in that price range that are much better. Perhaps we caught them on an off night.
Good and service were great! A little on the pricey side but would go back.
I have been going to SO for 20 years. There must be some real changes in ownership, management, or chef...all the things I loved about the food including a really bad rendition of a Tres leche’ desert was really disappointing. The steak was ok....Very Disappointed this is the 4th year I have come for my Birthday. Not sure I’ll do next year.
Sō was incredible. Our server William was personable and attentive. I ordered the lamb special which was cooked to perfection, my girlfriend is a vegetarian and there were a couple delicious options for her to choose from as well. We will definitely be coming back!
Great food and service. Thing I liked the least was there are two sections of the restaurant, one with seating near the bar has a great vibe, low lit and high class feel. Other section is in the back almost like a sunroom - I think the room itself could be good with a few new touches but it seems very casual.
Only other thing is there was no cocktail menu - I like when a place has a cocktail menu to choose from.
So is always a difficult place for me to evaluate. Among the most impressive wine lists in town (it would be nice to have a few more moderately priced options) and the food is almost always cooked to perfection. The low-lights and quite environment always make for a special evening. The price, however, is among the most expensive in town which is what makes it a "special occasion" place for me instead of a more frequent dinner spot. A shared appetizer, an inexpensive bottle of wine (by their standards) and two reasonable entries and you are easily looking at $250 for two. That's tough to do a couple of times a month or even monthly. If you are looking for a special spot, this fits the bill. I just wish their prices were a bit more approachable so visits could be more frequent.
The service was very good but they did not have enough servers to accomadate the number of clients that were there.
Should be called “Slow”... 2 hours to get our food. And it was just okay... didn’t justify the prices at all.
There was a limited menu given to us. My husband ordered an appetizer and entree from the limited menu. Waiter came back to the table to inform us that his appetizer wasn’t available that night so he picked something different. Later the waiter came back and said he wasn’t able to get that entree either. Both options he had to pick were more expensive and there was no compensation for that. This was my birthday dinner and I was so excited to order the most known dessert for this restaurant and they are not offering it right now. Nowhere stated online that they were serving off a VERY limited menu and not to mention this was a $$$ dinner. We were both very let down by the experience. Other inconvenient thing was there were no options for my daughter so she didn’t get to eat dinner. I don’t see the point in ordering a 6 year old a $26 entree.
Wonderful food and service. Sad we missed the chocolates Sac so make sure and order it 24 hours in advance
Great food and service.
The food and service were excellent but I found the prices to be high for the size of the portion.
Wait staff was very slow and not super friendly. Food was ok but it took forever to be served. I will not go back. Not a great experience.
Disappointed is the first word that comes to mind. I’ve been to So many times and this was by far the worst experience. Made an early’ish reservation thinking that the later times were taken. However, it ended up being so scarce that the ambiance was awkward. Apparently there is no beer during COVID and The one cocktail that was ordered took forever.. concerning due to the lack of patrons. The menu was meh. And by far the biggest disappointment was no chocolate sack.
Best dinner I have had in a long time. Ambiance. Presentation. Service.
Food. Experience. AMAZING. I would drive the 2 hours from Memphis just To eat here again.
We went for date night and things started out ok. The waiter got a table that he knew and all bets were off. We didn’t get our appetizers. I asked the waiter and he questioned we ordered them and we were sure we did but quickly after he was busy with the other table. We didn’t get drink refills. Finally after more than an hour he brings one appetizer. After that we got our meals and it was the wrong order. At that point we asked for the check and that took another 20 minutes. It was a mess!
Emily provided outstanding service and the food was wonderful. Staff was very accommodating to secure our reservation. Staff was very engaging from hostess, server, baker and valet. Menu was diverse with high quality selections. Great TEAM!
Muy lento el servicio y el personal mal preparado no sabia ni servir el agua
The service was absolutely terrible. We arrived shortly before our reservation time and waited awhile for a table. Once we were seated, that was the last of our interactions with any staff. We were not given water or menus. We waited for over thirty minutes trying to be understanding because of covid. But we just had to leave. I won’t be going back for a long time.
Our waitress and the man that makes the dessert were very nice helpful and attentive. The bartender when we arrived was scattered and is the reason for the low rating.
Our Server Emily was really great! The owner Vic was super helpful making arrangements for the private room for our dinner event.
The food was really good. The servers shared they were understaffed, and unfortunately, that showed.
The food was wonderful but from the time we sat down until the first bit of food arrived at the table was just over 2 hours and even then one entree was forgotten. We had to get up and ask for drink refills on multiple occasions. The only dessert option contained alcohol which left children disappointed. This was a retirement dinner that I was in charge of booking. I have only had good experiences here in the past, but this was without exaggeration the worst experience I’ve had at any fine dining establishment in Little Rock.
I understand with covid there are difficulties in staffing and providing 5 star experiences. With that said, I went in prepared for a different level of service. I have eaten at many other restaurants during this time that were able to create a wonderful experience.
If this experience was in fact related to covid, my advice would be to remain closed until you are able to adequately take care of guests. I was embarrassed for the staff and for myself for choosing this establishment.
Outstanding food quality and great service. Did an excellent job spacing and creating a comfortable environment.
This was the 2nd time at So for my wife and me. Both times the food has been fantastic and the service top notch. It’s a wonderful place for a quiet dinner.
Fantastic food as always and amazing staff!
This was our first dinner out in Little Rock after getting married during this pandemic. It was a wonderful experience and the food was great. We shared the seafood fondue appetizer and we both had seafood entrees. She had the Martini Scallops and I had the Scottish Salmon. What a joy it was to get back into a great restaurant and have no worries about our dining experience.
The food is just amazing. The wine selection is multitudinous. One of the finest restaurants in the Little Rock area.
Good food, good service and good atmosphere equal a veryy good dinner out to celebrate.
