   My family and I went to So to celebrate my daughter’s 24th birthday. We wanted it to be a special night since she came back home to visit us. I made a reservation for 6:30pm and we were seated promptly. It was stifling hot in the dining area. We are all thin people who are cold natured and were still hot. We asked to taste some wine and the taster had gone to vinegar (maybe from the heat?) We asked to taste a different wine and were brought the same vinegar. So, we ordered something different than either. It turned out to be good. There were 1 soup and 2 salads on the menu. One duck dish, one chicken, 2 steaks, 2 fish. We ordered 1 of the salads - after ordering, the waiter apologized that they were out leaving 1 salad option. They were out of soup as well. Two of us ordered the chicken and the waiter said they only had 1 left so that was another order that had to be modified. They charged $6 for plain bread. By 8pm after all the menu changes we finally got our dinner. When we asked about dessert they only had two options. The waiter acknowledged our daughter’s birthday, but they did nothing for her…no complementary piece of cake or anything special. Just very disappointed overall with this restaurant and I won’t go back. Hot, horrible night club sounding music, with a limited and sparse menu. Food was just okay. $$$

   Cons: -Waited 1:45hrs for food to arrive. -Veggies were way over cooked and burnt. -Not the best cheese platter -Wait staff look stressed and probably short staff. Pros: -Clean & Attractive interior -Staff very polite and visited the table often

   We ordered the Family Roast and two things happened: 1. About 15 minutes later, the waiter came back to say he didn't remember if we ordered the roast or the duck, which was odd. 2. About 20 minutes after that interaction, another waiter came out to tell us that the roast had been sitting out from the day before and was sour so we'd need to make an alternate order. 3. 10 minutes after that interaction, the original waiter came back and said that the roast wasn't soured, but instead was sold out. This was an extremely odd and frustrating ordeal overall, particularly since this is the third time in a row that we've come to So, and they've been out of multiple items on the menu. This has become to the norm, unfortunately, and is *not* how things were a couple of years ago.

   After a long search to find the perfect place to bring my girlfriend for her birthday dinner, also to propose to her, I found this place. The sunroom they have is very elegant, and was the perfect place. One of the managers, Taylor, had everything set up for me, nice music, candles on all the tables, and even helped record the whole thing! Very great place, a large selection of wines, highly recommend the steak fritz!

    Food was poorly prepared and presented. Steak was under cooked and the rest of the plate was overcooked. Price was high enough that the food should have been much better. Won’t be back. Wine list was good and the bar is well stocked.

    The food was very good and the service was okay for the evening. However, the restaurant did not accept our seating request, stating that the back room was about to be full when it was in fact empty all night. Additionally, the menu was a reduced menu for a fixed price which was also not advertised. Overall, the food was good, but it was completely overpriced for the quality. We went to a far superior restaurant for much cheaper. Enjoyed the evening but definitely overpriced for Little Rock.

    Was not informed that there would be a limited menu. Reservation was for 715pm. Didn't get seated until 8pm. Service was very slow due to under staffing. Our waitress (Taylor) was great and was working very hard. Food and drinks were great. Just took forever

    The restaurant was obviously understaffed, but the wait wasn’t too bad. The food was very good, portions were a little small for the price. The atmosphere was very intimate and calm. I would go back, but probably not when they are just serving the Valentine’s Day menu.

    This was our first time, menu was selective for valentine weekend. However, each dish was very good. The only complaint would be service, but they did advise us they were short staff and running behind. Once we got to the table downstairs the heat was not on. We were there for about 2 hours.

    SO totally inappropriate (pun intended).... did not advertise the exorbitant fixed price (told you after you were seated), cold food--even though it has potential, poorly trained waitress, 30 to 40 minutes between (each of the four) courses, and we were there at 5:30 (finally left well over 2 1/2 hours later). All for an over $600 check for two people. We've eaten at SO, SO many times.... never again. Waitress disappeared...probably from embarrassment, and NEVER apologized for the time between courses or cold food. She never "presented " the wine, she just poured it (won't even dignify the process to say she "served" it). That's just poor training.... or maybe management just doesn't care. Read all the reviews from this specific date... we're all saying the same thing. This was not just us.... this was systemic. Maybe SO can handle a small group of diners (reflecting on other positive reviews from others on different nights).... but if you're going to take reservations on a special night, be prepared and know that you can handle them...with quality and care. Little Rock needs some good restaurants. For SO to disappear would not be a tragedy as it is not a good restaurant.

    This was the absolute worst dining experience I have had in Little Rock in nearly a decade. I have been to So many times before and last night was simply miserable. We were seated in their lower room which was incredibly cold because an exterior door would not shut and had a large gap letting in February night-time air. We waited 20 minutes after being seated to get a pre-dinner cocktail, the bartender hit on my date (on Valentine's Weekend no less!), the appetizers were served without proper silverware, there were 15-20 minute gapes between courses, our dishes were repeatedly delivered to the wrong table and when they did arrive they were placed in front the wrong person, it took 1.5 hours, from the time we ordered for the entree to arrive, and staff were not wearing masks despite covid still being rampant. When I booked the reservation there was no mention of a special Valentine's menu, but the morning of the reservation I received an email with notice of a pre-fixe menu. No price was noted in the email or on the menu at the table. Only when the check arrived did you see it was $125/pp! I expect higher prices on Valentine's weekend, but if you are going to up-charge the menu, the kitchen and serving staff should be prepared to meet expectations to justify that price. With higher prices, come higher expectations. So treated Valentine's weekend as an opportunity to up-charge prices without adjusting service expectations. The serving and kitchen staff were understaffed for the number of reservations taken. The entire dining experience, from service to food quality, was a major disappointment. I would not recommend SO to anyone, especially if you are expecting a special evening. Price does not meet quality expectations.

    Overall our experience was not good however it was not the waitresses fault she did a good job but the Valentine’s special menu did not specify prices so we were surprised by our bill it was the only menu available, it took us an hour and a half to get our food and then it was cold also our dessert was served to us before our entrée

    Reservation @ 4:15. Still didn’t have dessert 2 hours later. Nothing was posted stating a “Valentines Day” only menu would be available. Was overpriced and small portions. Owner/manager was making excuses. At least 5 groups left this restaurant before even ordering or being served. Ruined a great evening! Will never return!

    Walked in at 7 pm. Had to wait for a hostess. Got told at seating “it’s been a busy night, we’re out of our specials and risotto”. We wanted the risotto as one of the mains. Tbh it’s 7pm how can u possibly be out of your food?? It’s Arkansas but wow that’s embarrassing. Poor service. Waited over an hour for soup that never came. Had to ask for check and leave. Would not recommend in any capacity.

    We were told upon arrival that they were short staffed, which is understandable. We were there for 30 minutes before we got drinks and an hour before we were even asked if we wanted appetizers. The food was average. Noise level high. Normally I would be more understanding, but we got the same excuse last time we ate there a few years ago. Won't be back.

    On a still-snowy evening, we were a party of two at 6:oo. We were seated in the front room, it was cold, but warming up, and we were the only patrons. Our server was fine, but after our drinks were delivered, another server began setting up for a birthday party of 8 or 10. We should have been moved before our appetizers were delivered because the party drifted in, were noisy, had a lot of distracting set up and generally ruined the ambience. My drink was great, the service by Joe was efficient, and he was plesant; the food was delicious. It was our first visit, it was a date, and I was hoping for a quieter place.

    First, the service was outstanding!! Our server was a gem, so friendly and fun and very attentive. The food was good, I just don’t think it was worth the $125/person for what you got, and our entire table felt the same. We asked for bread to have with the first course and it was promptly brought out - and then there was a separate charge for it on the bill, that was disappointing. We will be back but doubtful when they have a set menu and price, I just thought it was a little over priced.

Getting ready for everything tomorrow night.” Basically paid a lot of money yo be told how great everything will be the night we aren’t going to be there.

    The food and drinks were superb! My daughter and I hadn’t been in a while and decided to have a little girls night! Taylor was fabulous, and as I stated our meals were absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back soon!

    Overall the food was excellent but the overall evening experience was dampened by the noise. We could not talk comfortably because of the 2- 6 top tables in the same area as us. They were not obnoxious loud but the 2 of us could not hear because of the proximity of our tables. Not sure if that could be remedied. We will go back because of everything else but caution where we sit if there are large tables next to us.

    Had bone marrow appetizer... there was almost no marrow. Should have been called marrow taster, because there wasn't a whole bite. I had the duck, and my wife had a fish dish. They were both excellent. Service was great. We will be back.

    We had a light meal - french onion soup, caesar salad, and chicken. The food was all very good and the the atmosphere was very nice. The prices are a bit high, but that was known in advance. Pricing is probably the only reason it's a once every now and then destination.

    Phenomenal appetizers, soups and wine list. Elegant setting and great cocktails. You have to try the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and Faro mushroom and venison broth soup. Hoping that their stellar dessert menu makes its way back.

    We had a Thursday date and had not been to So in along time. It’s a neat venue in an old building in the Hillcrest area. Service was prompt. Bar service was great. Place was empty when we arrived at 6:15 but got busier while there. Excited they had beef marrow on menu nut was just OK. French onion soup was OK as well. Split the tenderloin roast for our entree which was tender & flavorful. Appetizer & soup came out at same time so flow of meal was somewhat rushed.
