The food is good and kindly different from what I used to have for Japanese food
The fish and vegetables were very fresh.
Delicious and quality experience in a Japanese restaurant.
Personnel is shy on words but very friendly.
Overall experience was very good although a bit on the expensive side.
Good quality good, pleasant service and central location.
There are fantastic options for both budget and luxury Japanese food in central London, but few places that cater for the middle. SO is that option, and it's great. My dining partners weren't quite sold on the nigiri, but my tuna tataki and black chicken were super. An excellent option for balancing quality and price.
Best sushi and Japanese in town, never fails to amazes us with fresh and tasty flavours and always full of Japanese people which cant be a coincidence. They clearly know where the best Japanese is!
went out with my boyfriend for our celebrate, was our first time in So restaurant the food and the service were excellent, will definitely go back again.
Great food and really good value. I had the sashimi lunch plate and it had a great mix of different sashimi. Highly recommend the yuzu bellini too. Very refreshing. I will definitely be going back!
Good place for Japanese food. The food is very fresh and service good
Too many different waiters for one table, this is a little bit confusing. In total: food and atmosphere are great and SO is absolutely recommendable.
I personally think the portion is too big :). Wanted to order more if each portion was smaller.
Have eaten here a few times food is always consistent and reliable if not exciting getting a bit run down needs a lick of paint
Everything was excellent - Food, atmosphere and service.
My wife and I dined here recently. We loved it. Great restaurant, amazing food!
We got a table at the basement for a group of 7, which is perfect as it was quieter. Food was good. Service is a little bit lacking as the waiter was very passive and we had to keep calling him over. However overall, good experience.
Foie gras don isn’t really worth the price in my opinion, just seared and poured some teriyaki sauce on, but still good for London standards (don’t compare with Asia). Other items were generally quite good and fish quality was good.
We ordered chef's special sushi set but they served ordinary lunch set sushi. Quality was not bad, but I know the chef's special one is really good value, and therefore a bit disappointed. But I always like the restaurant, and I always think their food is good value.
The food was mediocre. Sushi roll was standard. Foie gras with rice was very bland and oily. Service was great.
Lovely food, friendly staff. Great service. Would recommend and will be back.
Very nice sushi, we had the set menu, They were a little mean in not allowing us to switch the miso soup to a different soup (cant eat tofu). Would probably be back, perhaps at a less busy time.
Price become higher than one year ago
Enjoyable meal with family. Good food, especially yellowtail starter. Efficient, attentive service. Recommended.
Cibo ottimo, lo staff gentile e professionale, ambiente bello e accogliente!
Love this restaurant, it’s my second time there. Perfect as always!
My fiends and I had a lovely time at this place.
The food was remarkable. We ordered the large sushi platter advertised as for 3 or 4 and all four of us had our fill and then some. And everyone commented on how good it was.
I am a regular customer and always happy with the authentic Japanese foods. Lunch menu is particularly good value, and they have a loyalty card and can get discount if you collect enough stamps. Quality of their chef's sushi (£25) is excellent.
Fabulous as always, the tuna was stunning and the dishes were exquisitely presented and equally as delicious. Thanks so much :)
The food was very tasty but portion size wasn't very big especially for the price.
Tuna was off but the rest was good. Fair to say that it was not worth the price as the most expensive pieces were tuna chutoro.
Indulgent, delicious and exquisitely presented as always! Thank you and see you soon ;)
Ground floor have a busy environment, however the downstairs is another story. Quite, with slow music, the best you can have for an amazing Japanese night
We loved SO restaurant and we all would go back! the food was authentic Japanese and very tasty. Staff was also happy to accommodate at short notice two additional guests which was very welcomed.
Best Japanese restarurant I know in the UK. Friendly staff I get to practice my Japanese with.
Delicious food and great menu selection, however service was terrible and was extremely difficult trying to get the attention of the server to clean the table and to get the dessert menu and also getting the bill.
The variety of food was really wide. We had sushi and sashimi, the meat was really good quality. the service was really quick considering it was a Friday night.
The team were brilliant as always, welcoming and helpful, the very definition of service with a smile. The Tuna was exquisite and it is always a joy to taste such a prized product and seeing the respect, love and care with which it is handled. My compliments as ever to the Chef, accommodating my allergies and making my dining experience so memorable. Thank you so much and see you next week!
As always fantastic japanese food excellent sashimi brilliant tempura.
Very good service very good food
