Social Kitchen and Bar

Made our first visit to the Social Kitchen last weekend. Very nice place, great atmosphere. The food and service was excellent! I will definitely be back!

Great food! Love the place!

The music and flashing holiday lights were horribly disruptive. It was beyond just a fun festive atmosphere, it was so distracting and all of us in our party wished we were somewhere else!

Noisy, dishes to table spaced out one at a time w last entree at least 15 minutes after first. Normal everyday food at a high end price.

Had a great time catching up with an old friend. The food was great. The menu is a little pricy for how casual the environment felt but nonetheless an awesome time. Will definitely be back

Good food, fun and festive atmosphere.

Superb cheeseburger with pork belly. Cooked perfectly. The ghost pepper margarita is outstanding. Worth a trip just for that. Really enjoyed the holiday decorations. It was magical!

The food was presented very well, The staff was attentive and very helpful. We were very pleased with our meal and the surroundings Avocado sandwich was over filled with fresh avocado.

Eclectic decor that was fun and interesting. Very holiday in spirit The food was delicious as always!

The staff was great but the place was not suited for an older
Person. The place was loud so difficult to hear and the menu was less interesting. I thought over rated by trip advisor which is why I picked it. Again, the staff was great.

Wouldn't recommend, at least not for dinner.
Our recent visit was met with disappointing results, and while the Manager and staff did work to reconcile our issues, the visit was still not up to my previous experiences.
My food arrived cold, two separate Mac and Cheese were inconsistent with how they were prepared...neither were a show stopper, but the experience did not meet with my expectations base don previous lunch time visits.

It seemed to be a rare off night in their kitchen. Our meal of Avocado Toast, Mac and Cheese and a Chicken Sandwich took well over 45 minutes to cook and serve. The food was very good as always, but not sure why it took so long.

We had to request beverages several times. Salad sizes were no where near the size they use to be.

Brunch is always amazing

We have eaten here twice now. Everything about this place is wonderful except for the service which is horrible and SLOW. Only go if you have absolutely no where to go for hours and hours...and don’t care about time. Otherwise, spend your money on an establishment that values good service! It’s too bad. The first time we ate here, we thought maybe the bad service was isolated. Now that we have eaten here twice, we know it is not. This is how they apparently value service. Don’t waste your time.

The food and service as always is excellent. We sat on the covered patio in the winter (love it in the summer). It's noisier and not my favorite place to sit in the winter, but other than that entirely delightful again.

Turn off the Xmas light "music" that blasts one's years out every hour, or I will never return to SK again. Totally obnoxious!

GREAT chicken and waffles! The service is always amazing and there is never a wait time - with or without a reservation.

Go to brunch spot!

Whoever was working in the kitchen that night was very heavy handed. We ordered Brussels sprouts. They were loaded with vinegar. Sent them back they were loaded with salt. Sent them back. Ordered fries , loaded with salt. Second time they were fine.the rest of the meal was good. I spent too much money to have improperly made food. Waiter was responsive

Unfortunately my main course came wrong twice and all the others in my party were finished eating by the time my dinner arrived so I no longer wanted to eat and my anniversary dinner was done!! Big deal they gave us dessert but what good is that if there was no dinner!
Usually like this place but may take my $$$ elsewhere!

We have never had a bad meal at Social. Exceptional bar staff is amazingly efficient.

Have eaten here a few times. Cocktails always good. The roasted Brussels sprouts are normally really tasty, but they arrived at the table a tad on the cold side. Two of us had the gemelli with sausage -- I found it really heavy on the red pepper, almost to the point of inedible. But I soldiered through. The women both had salads and those were reportedly fine. Service super friendly. We ate in the outside section, which is well-heated for winter, but the lighting is a peculiar shade of warm.

Overall, a good experience. We like Social, and will return.

Love this restaurant but hate that they removed the grilled Caesar salad from the menu

Nina was the friendliest, professional, efficient and one of the hardest working servers I’ve ever seen. She handled three tables with different restrictions in the amount of time someone would handle one maybe two. She’s attentive, kind and helpful with drink and food suggestions. She always checked in to make sure all orders were correct & customers were happy!
I would definitely come back for the yummy salads and amazing service!

This used to be one of my very favorite restaurants due to the Warm Chicken Salad Sandwich and the huge serving of French Fries. Unfortunately, they have discontinued the sandwich. I tired to voice my disappointment directly to them but their website does not show an email address and their Contact Us link does not work.

We went there to celebrate running the Detroit Marathon. Fun place. Our server was excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable. In fact everyone we came in contact with from hostess to the people who brought out some of the food were pleasant and friendly. We had a great time

Super awesome atmosphere.... just a bit lacking in the service department.... and still confused how they ran out of hash browns but still had potatoes... may have been time to break out the grater... server while attendant missed a few things... but, the manager was very accommodating and picked up some of our items

Excellent, service, food and cocktails. Daryl the bartender is incredibly talented. Wonderful atmosphere! Love this place!

Really don’t care for the bringing the food out as its ready. It tells me the kitchen is lazy and doesn’t know how to manage timing and bringing out plates at the same time. We ordered fries for the side with our 3 meals - they came out 10 minutes before our main courses! My dad and I’s mains came out, my wife sat there for 5+ minutes waiting for her meal. Ridiculous. I wouldn’t go back...

Absolutely wonderful! My husband and I were meeting our adult daughter on her day off for lunch! A treat for all of us ! Our waiter was great! We sat on the enclosed patio , in the sun, just beautiful! My daughter and I have food allergies, which the staff not only paid attention too.. they took very seriously! Our food was delicious, and our time together delightful! Thanks for a great lunch!

Great ambience where you can actually understand each other. Food was great although a few options were not available. Will go back again!

I’d heard much about this place and was looking forward to trying it. Met a friend for breakfast Saturday. Service was friendly but slow and disorganized or maybe just lackadaisical. Coffee was pretty bad (think Coney Island type-thin snd tasteless) food was just ok. The skillet was not very well executed (sent first one back as cold and potatoes not cooked). Biscuits-this is not the place to order those. Thin wide wedge too salty. Again friendly service but I doubt I would go back.

Great service. Cute ambiance. Has a big city restaurant feel. Not great food.

Found out once we got there they have rooftop seating. Had drinks and eat up there. Very nice during the warm months

We were able to enjoy the rooftop at Social, which was actually, delightfully peaceful.
Our server was friendly and professional. The food was great!
