Poor service and food
Worst bar, very overpriced & staff are very rude.
Overall experience was bad. I was expecting a rooftop and it was not nothing about one.
Waiters are rude. Wine bottle served with plastic glasses with water still inside.
Won’t recommend at all.
It was a lot of fun! Very good music, sheesha & food. Good heating & cover also as it’s outdoors terrace and can get quite cold in winters.
Worst rooftop bar in London, feels more like a university party than a rooftop bar in soho. £50 shisha not even the best shisha places in London charge that much. The view from bar is a no view and scaffolding.
£7 for a bottle of beer? and then laughed at by staff because i thibk thats too much money
We used to go here all the time. Now it’s just an awful chavvy mess. Loud aggressive music, scratched plastic wine glasses and extortionate prices.
I wouldn’t be surprised if I caught COVID-19 in there. Didn’t see staff members wash their hands once. Did see them on their phones and smoking though. No table cleaning and sanatising. Zero information on safety measures. Zero track and trace. Oh we did see staff smoking with the clientele and I’m sure all their selfies got good likes.
Fruit and drink garnish was in direct sunlight. Cash handling and no hand washing.
I will never return.
Dear Vicky D Thank you for your review, through out the hotel and at the entrance of the Roof Terrace we have signs to remind guests to maintain Social distance and follow the guidelines. With the room in which you stayed for 6hrs you did not complaint at all. We also note that your friend were suppose to stay but for some reason they were not able to come hence you came instead of the actual guests. Note: All the facilities are regularly sanitised and cleaned with no exceptions. Soho Sky
Was relatively okay. has a good vibe to it for a late summer night. Not sure how it would fair in the winter but I'm sure there are ways. A bit pricey but I guess its a status quo. However if you have the money its not too pricey to make a big fuss about, its still a really nice place to go. If you're a pocket pincher, wouldn't recommend.
Staff were extremely rude. We had a booking and they refused us entry as they said there were no tables. However when other clients they knew turned up with no booking they gave them a table over us.
The menu is not as advertised on OpenTable. It is now a shisha and Indian food place. When we went it was almost empty (when the rest of Soho is busy) and there was no vibe. We didn’t stay and found somewhere else to eat - these a load of options in this area
Well where do I start?! Firstly I am shocked this rooftop is based in Mayfair. The employees here are so rude. I had my booking which I showed and confirmed via Openable and the workers at Rooftop skyhouse were saying they can only fit me in for an hour bearing in mind I booked beforehand and it clearly stated 2 hours. When I got there it was empty however the woman made us sit right directly facing the sun and it was 34 degrees! When we challenged her she said their fully booked bearing in mind I booked! Another female who took our order and was so rude continuously making faces at us for taking too long to order, bearing in mind it was a minute or so. I asked to charge my phone she showed me the pods. When I used the bolt pod chargers, it was taking my money continuously however not charging the phone. Again I explained to the woman and she said there’s nothing she can do and she has no chargers. It looks like they highly prioritise their local customers who do not even fit in to the Mayfair standards! I asked a male customer if he could charge my phone and ask the staff... and guess what the worker charged the phone at the back thinking it’s his?! Such disgusting and awful service. We asked for fans as where we were sitting was facing the sun and everyone else was under shade. Another staff gave fans to everyone else and said to us sorry I have none left!? We are girls who are regular Central London visitors and eat/ brunch smoke shisha around the area regularly and we could not believe what we were experiencing. The crowd is awful... people with no manners or etiquette. Yet they were getting treated like royalty by the staff. Some were even allowed to go behind the bar and change music etc. I don’t know if this place is actually only tailored to certain crowd of people and the girls working there just simply don’t like new female customers?? Men customers seem to be able to get what they want with their regular girls. Overall please avoid if you’re looking for

Great music if your into hiphop. Great young vibe.
Don’t ever go here.
Incorrect opening time
Very overpriced for horrible service and mediocre food. Had to ask the waiters twice for our food and to turn the volume down since you could barely hear the person sitting next to you. However, they would just turn it back up when we got to our seats. And apparently the heaters were “out of gas” but they were turned on when we were leaving.
Ambience might be attractive to young crowd. But on the contrary food is not good. Nor the behaviour of the staff. Service is not at all acceptable.
Overall not value for money
Service is of the lowest possible quality, waiters avoid eye contact and seem unpleasantly bothered by their client requests. Such a shame that a beautiful place like this is occupies by a business with such a negative attitude.
Staff are rude and unprofessional they were having shisha at the bar and chating careless about our orders. I have to get up and service myself . Food took ages to be ready we staved to death.
The place is so small photos look much better. The service is absolutely horrible the women who sat us was extremely rude we asked her for an alternative table because at the time it was empty she said it’s fully booked and we when we left the place was still empty there were literally 6 empty tables. She was so rude and had horrible attitude. Never going back ! Definitely go to drunch for better service and better atmosphere.
They let me wait for about 20 minutes. Then others came after me and they gave them a good table after waiting for ages they gave me uncovered table in the corner like i was unwelcome!!!!!. And when i ask to order they told me you have to wait for an hour it was so unprofessional!!!!!!
Having booked well in advance for 4 people, we arrived to be shown to 4 stools at the bar, not very convenient or very comfortable. Having been to see a film in the hotels cinema and enjoyed an outstanding meal in Soho Wala our experience at Toy Roof was rather disappointing.
What I (obviously) first noticed was that the vanue looks completely different than in the pictures. It’s not that posh at all. However, the Ambiente was quite relaxing. Not the best views from a rooftop bar but still mostly worth the price.
Met friends here for evening drinks and a light supper. Overall fantastic location and venue - beautiful on a summers night. However slightly let down by slow and disinterested service and very basic menu. If you want somewhere impressive to meet for drinks in central London then fine, but expect the service to be slow.
extremely overpriced for what's on offer, bar is poorly stocked, drinks served in worn plastic glasses, prosecco served warm, staff poorly trained, feels like they are there to party themselves, despite beautiful view over London, it's a big let down.
Incredibly poor customer service and rude waitress. Told we were only able to sit at the bar as there were only two of us, despite having booked a table, and that the booking was only for an hour, despite being told it was for 2 hours in the booking confirmation email. There were couples sat at tables despite being told bookings of 2 could only be seated at the bar. The waitress allowed us to sit at a table (since the venue was half empty) for an hour, but approached us prematurely after 45 mins to move us to the stools at the bar, since another booking was due. The table continued to be empty for another 30 minutes, and we left once we had finished our drinks. For the money we spent, totally not worth the rude customer service . Will not be returning.
extremely rude staff. never experienced something like this in my life
I didn't know it was a shisha place so was quite surprised by the smells when getting there.
The terrace is nice, has good cover against rain; view is OK; cocktails are OK; staff are friendly.
It attracts a fairly young audience.
The bar is in an amazing location but we were disappointed at the level of service. We had booked in advance but were given a table in a bad location despite the fact that there were lots of other tables free. We inquired about booths but were told these were reserved; we were there for two hours and no-one else came to sit in these tables other than the hostess' friends who turned up with bubble tea purchased from elsewhere and sat just the two of them taking up a whole booth area.
Weather was great and we enjoyed the terrace a lot. Atmosphere is quite relaxing and urban. We will return for sure
The blonde waitress was extremely rude. Really bad attitude. Very disappointing!
I was hoping for a special experience for a special occasion. The decor was poor, the music being played had no synergy with the hotel surroundings.
Amazing shisha! Nice service
The service is absolutely appalling. We waited 20 minutes to just receive the drinks menu. Another 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Then the drinks took long to arrive. Asked the same person for the shisha menu, waited 1 hour for that. Only to have the guy who is apparently in charge of the shisha apologise. Yet our table was right next to him. Really really bad service. The ambience was good however. But they really need to sort out their service.
We made a reservation on Saturday evening and when we arrived we were told that unfortunately they don’t accept reservations made through open table and we were offered to stand on bar. When I ask why are they on open table and allow people make reservations the door lady said she doesn’t know and that this is not a valid reservation. This is completely ridiculous and unacceptable, if you don’t accept reservations made through open table you shouldn’t offer an option to make a booking that way!
The female staff are absolutely vile. As we walked in the apparent “Manager” questioned if we were able to afford £50 per person probably because we were an all female group and maybe she is not used to seeing women being able to afford a few rounds of drinks, I don’t know. Throughout the evening we just found the staff to act as if it was social club for them and not a place of work. I won’t be going back in a hurry as I prefer some politeness with my service especially considering we spent about £700. Not somewhere I’d recommend for a special occasion or anywhere where you’d expect some decent service
Waited for 10 mins before anyone greeted us. When they finally sat us down we waiting for 30 mins before someone gave us a menu and actually checked up on us since we sat down. There were zero waiters in site. Not worth £50 min spend per person.
Can’t wait for the summer set up
Arrangement for our seats was very unprofessional. I booked on the app for a table not for the bar, and we got told we had to sit at the bar. I understand that this might be a problem with the app, so next time I will be calling instead to book. Hopefully, you can solve this problem.
It was bloody awful. Drinks are warm, food is cold.
The decor is tacky and the staff are rude.
Honestly their price point is way off! No one will spend a grand on a bottle of vodka, just a waste of time!
Such a shame because the rooftop is well placed!
