   Easy booking system. Warmly welcomed on arrival at Sol y Sombra Tapas Bar and taken to our table. Very well looked after by the waiters who brought and explained what each dish consisted of..... the dishes kept coming! A very enjoyable lunch was had by us all.

   Experience was absolutely fantastic. Amazing veggie and alcohol free options for me - the smoked tofu was particularly delicious and the mojito mocktail was brilliant. Service was attentive but relaxed … which is quite a skill, and the atmosphere spot on.

   We had the set lunch menu which they adapted to our preferences and it was fantastic. Generous portions and excellent flavours with a lot of thought in what dishes complimented one another. Would highly recommend!

   You cannot go wrong with this restaurant. Right from the start the service you receive is brilliant and that sets the tone for you dining here. The food was exceptional. Having lived in Spain and knowing what Spanish tapas is like, I have to say their food was just as good maybe even better thans authentic spanish people. It is also great value for money which you can't say very often about many restaurants. The atmosphere was nice and chilled which led to a great afternoon of eating food. The young man who looked after from the start was excellent at his job, excellent customer service, he engaged with us which wad great to see and he didn't have to put on a professional act like in some restaurants. The young man was just himself, polite and great at his job. We will definitely be back again and will be recommending the restaurant to everyone we know. Thanks

   Arrived promptly for our booking then ignored by the staff for 30 mins, can’t comment on the food as due to poor level of service we paid for our drinks and left.

    So disappointed-I used to love Sol Y Sombra - we would go 2 or 3 times a year. I knew it was up for sale, but it is very obvious it has changed hands now. The set menu has significantly less variety and it’s really not that tasty - it was always so delicious . It is poor quality food now. They are just cutting corners - the price is still the same, but it is not the same experience. Such a shame, the new owners should have maintained the previous owners standards - I will not be back.
