Friendly staff with freshly cooked Thai dishes. Will go back again
Absolutely delicious food. Got the set menu (which had to be for the whole table) and they were happy to bag it up for us. Was extremely quiet for a Saturday which was surprising.
Excellent food in a nice atmosphere. A busy Saturday lunchtime but we’ll spaced tables and attentive staff.
som saa is probably my favourite restaurant in London and the nahm dtok plaa thort (deep fried seabass) is always outstanding so this more than makes up for any other short falls but I was slightly disappointed by the service on my last visit not for a lack of pleasantness but a lack of attentiveness including a considerable wait for our bill.
Excellent food, considerate friendly service and vibrant ambience.
2nd time we have visited som saa and it’s been very good both times. The food is excellent and the general vibe of the place is nice and chilled. Will be going back for sure!
Great Set Menu, very good value for money at £25 per head
Amazing food and nice atmosphere- would highly recommend!
Lovely service and seriously delicious food.
The waiters all wear proper masks, not those risible chin shields and the table partitions also make you feel very safe.
Incredibile authentic food in a lovely environment and great service! Recommend!
Delicious food not too sweet and generic like a lot of Thai food in the UK .Really complex , developed flavour so ! Highly recommend
So glad we went back to our favourite Thai restaurant in town. The food is as good as ever!
Som saa is always my favorite restaurant to go to, food is amazing!
The vegetarian salads are exceptional. Mind blowing stuff. Must try and this is coming from a hardcore carnivore like myself.
For me, currently the best offering of Southeast Asian flavour in London - by a stretch. It took me straight back to the exquisite tastes of Bangkok's very best.
Fantastic restaurant, the food is the most authentic i have eaten outside of Thailand. They have everything right at Som Saa, i have never had a bad meal, the service is always great, it has a nice atmosphere and they do good cocktails too.
Food truly excellent. Reasonable prices. Recommended.
The food was excellent. The service was very very good. I’d definitely go back and recommend to friends. My only criticism would be that the prices are unnecessarily steep.
One of the best meals we've ever had. Came here for a birthday meal, with my girlfriend who is Thai - so she is very difficult to impress with her home cuisine. Every dish we ordered was incredible and portions were plenty (we had come one time before and the portions seemed quite a bit smaller), so I dont know if we got special treatment for the occasion, got lucky, or they improved their experience. Our waiter Pedro was also fantastic, personable and attentive - we asked him to cancel a dish because we were too full slightly late, and he did it no problem. Then when that dish arrived anyway, the manager kept it off the bill but allowed us to keep it! They also brought the dessert with a candle in it as per my request when I made the reservation (I didnt need to remind them).
All in all, definitely the best meal we've had in London, and made a special occasion even more memorable so thanks to Som Saa!
It didn’t live up to the hype
Food was amazing. We had the set menu for the table, which gave us a great variety of really tasty dishes - and plenty of them. Allergies catered for.
Amazing food! Loved the fried sea bass from Som Saa! Service was very attentive, would definitely go back and try out other dishes!
Hands down the best Thai food I have ever eaten! Everything was just perfect...the scent of Thailand when you walk in, the mod yet old decor, the lip smacking food. I started taking pics of my food but then I got to engrossed with the taste explosion in my mouth I forgot to take pics of everything. I highly recommend the tasting menu! I can’t wait to go back
Excellent dishes, not enough room on the table for all that we ordered. Service was a bit slow and forgetful but the food is amazing!
Beware that most dishes are very spicy.
Food overpriced, not actually typical Thai food.
Food was amazing however our waitress was overly insistent and wouldn’t let us order what we had intended as it would affect our ‘experience’ of the food, but did not offer helpful suggestions otherwise. They also did not have a record of our booking, despite having received a confirmation. Overall it made the visit less pleasurable. Would recommend just for the food albeit on the pricier side.
Excellent Thai food with dishes not found at other London Thai restaurants. Great cocktails and dessert as well. Prices are reasonable for the authenticity of ingredients and service was attentive. Highlights include the trout curry, grilled prawns, fried sea bass as well as the lovely palm sugar ice cream with caramelised banana!
Truly excellent Thai food with authentic flavours and spices. The only suggestion would be to have more vegetarian dishes if possible.
Family night out. I have eaten here several times and always love the quality and freshness of the produce. Will definitely return.
Excellent seasonal menu with authentic flavours. Service is always impeccable, friendly and warm
We love it here!
The food was amazing, I enjoyed the meal! I’ll definitely be back here for the nahm dtok pla thort - the whole deep fried seabass was just outstanding!!
Slow service, lack of starters with average food choices..trendy beer choices represent poor value. Not enough staff.
Thai food was great. Creative without compromising authenticity. Flavours were excellent as was the decor and ambience. Will be returning and would highly recommend.
Superb. Just very upset the Som Tam has disappeared from the dinner menu!
I’ve wanted to go to Som Saa for ages and it did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious flavours and fab cocktails. Only negative I can say was that we didn’t have room to manage a dessert!
Food was astounding, perhaps the second best tofu I had in my life (only after street food in Kyoto, Japan, which is kind of hard to beat). The place is great, very cool view into the kitchen and you can actually see how your meal is made. The service was great — very friendly and patient towards our 2.5 year old ;-) Totally recommend!
Thank you Som Saa! Delicious food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, very attentive without being overbearing.
We started off with cocktails recommend by the waiter and they were delicious (I had the mezcal and tequila)! All the food came out quickly, was full of flavour, very fresh and had plenty of heat (they did warn us!). Personally rate Som Saa as the best Thai I've had in London, always on point!
Amazing, as always.
