Sophie's @ The Dean Dublin
Our New York – Italian menu is simple and delicious. Meats, fish, vegetables, fruits, herbs and dairy delivered daily by local suppliers. The restaurant vibe changes from a laid back sunrise through a buzzing sunset. A view like no other in Dublin, cityscape to countryside. No fuss, no formality, book a table and enjoy.
Sophie’s Bar is at the very heart of our rooftop restaurant. Pull up a stool and get comfortable at any time, day or night to take in the incredible views of the Dublin skyline while our amazing team of bartenders create a world-class cocktail for you.
Head out to our Rooftop Terrace, where we have sun loungers when it’s hot, blankets and heaters when it’s not.
The food was beautiful, could not fault in anyway. Our waitress Jenny couldn’t have accommodated us more, she was so helpful when ordering from the menu and gave us a lot of time even though she was visibly busy. Would recommend the food and service to anyone visiting the area!! 5*
Amazing location, delicious food, definitely is the place !!!!
Very nice place and good food.
I enjoy the time spent here
Food was ok, but overpriced. Service was pretty good. Tried to walk in for breakfast a week or two previously but were turned away despite the restaurant being at least half empty. Atmosphere was nothing special
25th Birthday - service was brilliant, food was delicious and fast, and the ambience was lovely.
Lovely food and waitress was friendly and helpful, always smiling
Couldn’t recommend enough! Staff so friendly, food and cocktails to die for! Can’t wait to come back
Lovely place to have cocktails and food. There should be an early bird menu as it is quite expensive to eat and drink.
Lovely place with great location. The staff is very friendly, the food amazing. Great views and gorgeous terrace.
A little bit expensive.
Food quality is great, a little pricy though. Great atmosphere, will be back soon.
My daughter recommended this after her visit to Dublin last year and we were not disappointed. We had a lovely meal and would definitely recommend it and will return when next in Dublin
I phoned the restaurant before hand to tell them that it was my friends birthday, but unfortunately there was no acknowledgement of this whilst we were there. The food was lovely. Atmosphere was nice but we were both very cold.
Very nice will definitely be back.
Very nice Italian restaurant at the top floor of 33 Harcourt St. Fantastic views of Dublin, they offer brunch menu on weekends (until 15:00). I din not have the chance to taste full lunch menu, never the less brunch was very good. Price good as well. I will definitely go back for dinner.
Generally a lovely experience but a couple of negatives would not put it 5/5.
Food was the nicest I have had in a long time. It wasn't expensive either considering the food quality, friendly staff and we weren't waiting very long between meals. Would definitely go back again.
Went here for my birthday dinner for the few days we were in Dublin. It came highly recommended because of the view, etc. which is pretty much the major reason I'm giving it multiple stars; however, the service was terrible. The woman was not helpful at all when we asked questions about the menu and when we mentioned it was my birthday she didn't at the very least say "happy birthday". Honestly, we had better meals at places half the price around Dublin. I liked it for the view, but the service was below average for the price you pay for food.
Everything was very enjoyable.
I would note that it is very off putting when the hostess calls you to confirm your table that she will need it back after 1 hour and 30 minutes. With no flexibility. I have worked in the restaurant industry and never would do that to a customer. Its off putting and puts a negative spin on a booking that I was looking forward to for a special occasion. Normally you have a table for 2 hours. We ultimately had the table for 2 hours so I don't know why this had to be said on a phone call. Premature and unnecessary. As a result we left and had post meal drinks in another establishment as it was off putting. In a competitive Dublin restaurant scene, I would recommend the managers be more savy as its a great spot with great food you don't want to miss out on business because of the above.
Lovely views of the city, cool bar, tasty food. Service was good. My only gripe was the ubiquitous DJ whose noise levels after 11pm make it impossible to remain to chat - definitely aimed at the under 30s from then on.
Great spot. Never disappoints.
Has my birthday dinner here, was absolute fabulous, enjoyed every moment and they even bought out a candle with my dessert without anyone reminding them.
Superb service with a smile.
Great atmosphere and lovely venue , especially for a Tuesday evening.
Service not as attentive and slower than previous visits.
Food average , steak overcooked-I ordered medium rare and got medium which isn't acceptable when charging £34 ! , was asked if wanted another cooking but at 9.30pm at night you are starving and want to eat so declined .
Mentioned all points to manager on paying the bill .
Think I would try somewhere else when back in Dublin as feel it is not up to scratch for the money
Very pleasant restaurant food was lovely. Staff were helpful and the view great
We absolutely loved our time at Sophie's - the food was excellent and great value for money, and the cocktails were delicious. We'd like to give a special mention to our waitress, unfortunately we didn't get her name but she has dark bobbed hair and was super helpful and attentive, even coming to say bye as she ended her shift. We will definitely be visiting again next time we are in Dublin!
Waiters not very friendly and a little pushy..service at bar a little rude
.but in a good location and menu good
Great moment at Sophie's. The waitress was not very friendly but the food was good.
Too bad it was pouring rain outside and the sky was grey. However, we had a great time.
Great evening- lovely atmosphere. Absolutely excellent staff.
Service was slow between courses. Starter (crispy prawn) tasted like it had been overdone . Otherwise main course was great. Had informed in advance that it was pals birthday and thought it was a lovely touch when waitress brought out ice cream and candle!
Perfect view of sunset.
Friendly staff and lovely food.
In the voice of Masterchef Judge & Diner, Greg/g Wallace:
*Lowers glasses*: & what are you doing with those ingredients, Chef?
I’m going to put the Potato into the Gnocchi, Greg
*Raises eyebrows*: that doesn’t sound very elegant, does it Chef?
YOUVE GOT 2 MINUTES!!
That’s lovely, that is. You get the riiiiichness of that sauce. I could dive in to that, I could. Take my top off and just dive In. Lovely.
A fantastic dining experience, & worth every penny. Lovely.
We want for s special dinner to celrbrate a friends birthday. Sophie’s is one of my favorite spots, with the modern decoration and drinks menu. Always a great experience. Dinner was amazing :)
Great food food and atmosphere.
Really enjoyed - as always
Had a fab brunch here on Sunday 24th of February which also happened to be our first wedding anniversary. The views were amazing, as were the staff and food. We were even treated to a glass of bubbles to celebrate our anniversary.
Food was piping hot and was very reasonably priced. I will most definitely be back again.
I did not expect that the waitress brought the dessert birthday to my partner Barbara. That I’m surprised because I emailed them for booking a table for my partner birthday that they kept remember or wrote the notes as reminder! Great services and nice interiors especially the waitress 👍 💯
Went for a birthday dinner , the food was delicious, the cocktails amazing. Stunning view over Dublin . Great atmosphere in the whole place . And our server Nikki was brilliant, so helpful and pleasant, she added to our great evening. Highly recommend Sophie’s
Ideal for any night out
Great atmosphere& food was outstanding. Would definitely recommend to friends!
Loved brunch but the only thing I would say it was very small for the price it was.
Everything was perfect except for the bar staff. I worked as a barman for nine years and it costs nothing to acknowledge customers who are waiting at the bar with a simple “Be with you in one moment” but the two men serving (who were not under pressure) did not do this and left myself and my friend waiting unacknowledged for minutes until we moved around the bar to another location. Even then the man who served us was very sullen. Not everyone has to be thrilled at work 24/7 but courteous would be ideal. Other than that it was perfect. Delicious food, great value and very friendly wait staff. Overall I always enjoy Sophie’s.
