Beautiful presentation and delicious food
Will definitely go again for a special occasion
My boyfriend left his sunglasses and within an hour they had called to let us know and let me collect them the following day.
Tasting menu absolutely brilliant. Only minus point was the temperature and can’t blame Sorella for heatwave!
Cosy and summery vibe all over. We loved the Mediterranean look not just for the food but for the nice colourful touches all over the rooms.
Happy/ friendly staff to welcome u in/out a big high five to the overall experience.
Can’t wait to go back with more friends to show them this little treasure in Clapham
Had a great time with my brother.
Food and wine was amazing.
Plus people are very friendly.
Sorella was fantastic from start to finish. Not only were they able to cater for gluten-free for the majority of the menu, but the staff were incredibly personable and helpful.
The waiter that served us was so charming that I forgot to tip and will definitely be going back to drop off a tip!
Food was insane, I can't explain how every bite was thoroughly worth it
We had several small dishes to start with and all were very good. The pasta dish was also very good but, if we were being very critical, we thought the gnocchi was a little bland. The staff were excellent and were sorry to hear that we were less than satisfied with one dish. They went out of their way to try to make up for it. Good selection of wines by the glass. Very good value for London and we would be more than happy to return.
Absolutely delicious food. Very friendly and efficient service.
Only downside was the slightly too loud music
Great evening with my friend. Lots of complimentary drink & food. Everything we ordered came on time & it was well presented & tasted delicious. Fish was excellent.
Fantastic Sicilian Red Wine .
Delightful local restaurant with an Italian menu. A bit outside our usual area for pre-theatre lunch but nearby Northern line made it easy.
The dishes are wonderful and the cooking first rate. A little pricey if you have all the courses. Ambience is scuffy casual. Staff are young, attentive and pleasant. Deserves to be busier.
Tasty Italian food based on a normal four course Italian meal, but we chose to order a mix of small plates and really enjoyed it.
All in all faultless
Delicious chefs menu. Very creative dishes. Love the sharing aspect. Cant wait to go back.
The food is very good and it is within walking distance from my house.
The downside, with my impaired hearing, is the background music and it gets very noisy when it s full due to all the hard surfaces.
This was my first time in Sorella
I had been to The Manor at least three times and loved it We were visiting my adult children in London for the weekend and it didn’t disappoint
The food was inventive Italian full of flavor with high quality seasonal produce The staff are friendly and helpful especially with the wine which was v good
Well worth a visit!
My wife & I had our second meal together on Saturday night. The place was full & the ambiance was good. To bless this all the Food & Service was without doubt as good as our first meal. Already booked to go next week but unfortunately I was given a late booking due to the restaurant haven't got a slot for earlier time.
I need to book it again to take some guests from Canada who are here in July too.
We liked the friendly informal atmosphere, really excellent food and an imaginative Italian wine list. Service outstanding. Only drawback was the too loud music, fine for some I’m sure but for oldies becoming hard of hearing a barrier to conversation. But I will certainly return.
Having been in the opening week and not being that impressed I thought I would try it again and took a friend for his birthday. The food was very good overall, the snacks, starters and pasta stoodout. The fish main course was ok, a little under seasoned and lacked the flavour I hoped for following my pasta course. Overall it was a good meal and the service friendly and attentive. I won't wait so long to go back! Thank you.
Pretty much perfection apart from the Street Smart addition....unethical....
Went here for boyfriend's bday on Friday night. Food, service and ambience were all spot on.
Great food and nice venue. Staff need to know the menu better but otherwise a lovely place to dine!
I love this restaurant. However I find it annoying and unethical for them to add £1 to my bill without asking me before. They did mention it when giving me the bill but left me the only option of asking it to be removed. Emotional/conscience blackmail. I think these restaurants need to ask the customer or put an option (like tipping) to add it if the customer wants to. Very naughty.
A worthy successor to the delicious Manor.
We had a relaxing Saturday afternoon lunch for 2 adults and an 8 month old baby. The staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating with our daughter.
For lunch we chose a few starters, followed by a couple of pasta dishes and a shared desert. I couldn’t really find fault with the food – extremely tasty.
The décor hasn’t changed massively from the Manor apart from the toilets.
It has the same layout and stone plates – I would have been disappointed if a major makeover had happened as it didn’t need it.
Looking forward to our next visit!
The atmosphere was nice, lots of natural light, and the staff welcome was warm. Food was tasty however the portions were small for the price, we left feeling less than full. Maybe the tasting menu is better value if you can spare the 42 pounds.
THIS IS A TERRIFIC RESTAURANT WITH GREAT FOOD AND GREAT SERVICE...I JUST REALLY ENJOYED THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. THANKS
Booked here as a result of a review by Giles Coren the The Times Magazine.
We were not disappointed. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable about the wine list and explaining the menu.
Delicious arancini. The linguine with mussels and bottarga was very good but the pappardelle with n’duja was excellent. Next time I’d go for the tasting menu to try more!
Excellent food and service, interesting intriguing and challenging (in a good way) food, service very relaxed but on point and sharp when needed. Wine list is well balanced both in choice and price esp in 30-45. Cocktails very good too (as you’d expect)
I really enjoyed my lunch Sorella. On a Friday lunchtime it lacked the buzz of more centrally located restaurants of its class, but I didn't mind because I was there for the food and it did not disappoint, in taste and presentation. The service hit the right note of being friendly yet professional. The wine list was nice too. And homemade vermouth? - kudos to Sorella! Now please come to north London so I don't have such an epic journey for the experience - although it really was worth the journey. Excellent value for money as well for the quality of food and service.
Great restaurant, wonderful Italian food, good value, deserves to do really well. One of the best restaurants in London.
A really great meal. Fantastic cocktails and wine. Excellent food, the truffle arancini are stunning! Really good, attentive service. All in all a great night out. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fabulous birthday meal at Sorrella. Food and service first class. We had the Chef’s menu which had a great variety (and a lot of food!). Staff super-friendly and helpful too. Loved it!
Excellent food and service, highly recommended. We will look forward to returning.
After much anticipation, we went to Sorella for a date night a few weeks ago. We've been to The Dairy and my partner in particular is a big fan of Counter Culture, so we were excited to try the new sister restaurant!
Our experience at Sorella was saved by the excellent service and the last couple of courses. We ordered the chefs menu and can honestly say the first 2/3 courses really were a let down - under seasoned, lacked flavour and very bland. The meal really picked up though at the pasta course (we had the cheese pasta) which was absolutely delicious. The finale of the fennel ice cream was a hidden gem - who knew fennel in ice cream could be so wonderful (well I didn't anyway)!
Sorella is almost great but a bit hit and miss, and because the first couple of courses were a let down, it just wasn't worth the price. There's room for improvement but I'd be tempted to give it another try in another couple of months time because when it's good it's amazing!
Sorella was lovely - we really enjoyed our experience. It was a tad bit expensive but definitely good for a special occasion dinner.
The team at Sorella looked after us so well, the food was delicious - we had the Chef's tasting menu and it provided a great selection and also value for money...... the roast chicken main course that we shared was delicious.
Buzzing vibrant atmosphere great service but let down by the food itself. Had the tasting menu which was quite tasteless and so meagre that we stopped off somewhere else for a bite.
I was really looking forward to the cuttlefish however when it arrived it was paper thin, tiny and bland. So disappointed!
As a fan of the Dairy and having experienced the food at Clapham Manor I was expecting more.
Thank goodness for Peter the waiter who saved the experience and gained the 3 stars!
I saw a review for Sorella a while ago in The Guardian and thought it looked like an interesting new addition to Clapham - it definitely is.
The food and wine are interesting and memorable. I'll be back, it looks the kind of place to engage visitors and peak their interest with well thought through quality food.
We love Italian food and this was exceptional: excellent food, really interesting menu and good wine. Service was attentive and very flexible. Will certainly go again.
After a certain review I was curious to try this local Italian. Very glad I made the effort - buzzy and very friendly staff topped off with very good food- we’ll definitely be back
Had the Chef's menu, which was a great mix of flavours and just the right amount for two people.
