Semi-private dining available for larger groups.
Delicious food and great atmosphere. Slightly let down with the service, staff were friendly and polite but we felt as if we were being rushed off our table. Hurried to order by several members of staff who obviously weren’t communicating and plates were cleared whilst we were still eating.
Very nice restaurant indeed, as I've come to expect from past visits to the Dairy and the Manor. Food top quality, particularly the pasta, and the service is excellent. Highly recommended.
Fabulous dinner! Will definitely be back again soon to try the tasting menu.
It's an unassuming place, not a looker, but simple natural decor made it welcoming. Taster menu looked interesting and so we all went for the taster. Anti pasto was endless and all very tasty - particularly the Ricotta dish. The beef and sausage was a disappointment in that the beef wasn't particularly tasty and the sausage was very crumbly. The fish was good. Desserts were a little on the stodgy side. Overall the food was good but not exceptional. The restaurant was extremely hot and by dessert the heat was making us all flag. Service was friendly and a good pace.
very simple food ... the same garnish to two different dishes .... the dish did not look nice...
Beautiful food! The pasta with duck, mushroom and truffle is possibly the best pasta I’ve had in London. Get the ‘Chef’s menu’ - it’s very good value and all was fantastic. Go before they win loads more awards and inevitably increase their pricing!
Can’t recommend enough! Food is outstanding, staff are lovely and really helpful. Will 100% be back
Lovely food. Good service and a really great local restaurant for Clapham.
Sorella has the best food and drinks in Clapham and a fantastic atmosphere!
A Little too crowded and noisy for our liking. We would have preferred a few extra choices on the menu.
The restaurant itself is lovely. The food however was not up to standard. We had the set menu. The dishes seemed confused - lots of elements but they didn’t really work together and the result was food that had strong flavours but that wasn’t tasty. Given this is in the same family as counter culture (which we thought was excellent and would highly recommend) this was a real disappointment.
The menu is original, the way of cooking meat and vegetables is simply unforgettable (And I am not an easy client ;)
The third time we have been here. Exceptional food as good as any we have had in Italy. Attentive service, friendly staff. An outstanding place. We will be back.
Amazing food and service - would definitely return.
I had high expectations as I have heard great things about Sorella and I was not dissapointed. The venison Ragu was probably one of the best pasta dishes I have had in a long time. Absolutely stunning.
Great food - venison pappardelle was the best pasta I've ever had. I'm a fairly good cook and find myself disappointed when I eat pasta I could quite easily make myself, but this was way out of my league. Really lovely. Would also recommend the sourdough bread & oil which was delicious and the pork & fennel salumi, which came with some lovely pickled fennel. Service was ok - non-intrusive. Great prices, too. Can't wait to go back.
An unexpected gem. Delicious food and wine. Will definitely return.
Disappointing. We ordered nearly everything on the menu. But there was only one dish (the truffle tagliatelle) that was worth eating - and even that was mediocre. Even more disappointing because we had come a year earlier and thought the food was great, but quality seems to have fallen enormously.
Incredible food. Some of the best pasta I’ve eaten. Will definitely return.
Table was ridiculously small. 58 cams square! And too close together.
If you’re spending more than £100 for 2 people you deserve more space and more privacy.
And the food was very average - with too much salt in some dishes.
Used to be known as the Manor they have repositioned themselves as an Italian style restaurant. Treat yourself to the sharing menu for 2. A bit pricey but you get a lot of dishes.
Excellent food and fantastic ambience. Would recommend the beef ragu
Amazing vegetarian food options. Very tasty. Music a bit loud. Very frriendly and helpful staff.
Absolutely delicious food. Right up there with some of the best food we have eaten in Italy. Each plate was left clean..despite the generous portions. Outstanding wine list. Staff are really friendly. It's a cool casual feel. Good value for money. We will be back.
We have visited Sorella on several occasions and have never been disappointed. Our dinner prior to Christmas the restaurant was packed but quality of the food and service did not deteriorate. We are always happy to dine at Sorella and introduce friends to one our favourite local restaurants.
Food was excellent, however the place is EXTREMELY NOISY and its impossible to have a conversation without shouting. Service was average, similar to what you get in a cafe rather than what you should get in a restaurant.
Absolute favorite restaurant. Service with a smile with amazing food!
Always amazing. Great for vegetarians. Brilliant staff. Our favourite.
The service while attentive felt as if the aim was to rush you out the door from the moment we sat down, every time one waitress asked us about our readiness to order (which we weren’t) two more would follow with the same question for the same course. To be fair to them I think a lot of their waitresses were new, but it didn’t make for a relaxing meal.
The major issue is that the food was extremely mediocre for not particularly good value.
The music and ambiance were great and actually the truffle arancini were dreamy but we had a nice evening despite the service and food not because of it. I would not return.
Our son had recently taken a Room in Clapham and when I saw a Giles Coren review putting it in the Best 100 Restaurants in England, I thought it would be a good bet for a Birthday meal. Service was good and we appreciated the little Birthday candle presented. We didn't really feel like all those courses (Primi,Secondi etc etc) @ £45 which anyway seemed a monstrous amount of money. Leaving that aside the choice wasn't large. My beef was beautifully tender and the others enjoyed their mains. I had a couple of Peronis and the others had a single cocktail and we also had a not bad 'cheapo' bottle of Red @£22. But with a ruinous 12.5% 'optional' service charge we ran up a bill of £180-odd which for us duffers living in the Provinces seems like a lot of money. In fact that was my ANNUAL salary when I started work - ok a few years ago! Finally the tables/chairs were spindly and the decor - I think 'distressed' would be right - or had they just not bothered??
Top top quality - but I never doubted it due to the ‘dairy’ link.
We’ve been several times now and every time Sorella is amazing. The food is spectacularly good always but the ambiance is also a bit more casual. It’s a winning combination. Couldn’t recommend it more.
Interesting food and a great menu with good service. A little on the noisy side. The desserts were rather underwhelming and bland compared to the rest of the dishes.
Great food, as ever. Slightly disappointing that we ordered the last 3 of a particular dish and only got 1 of them...
Great food, not cheap, but good enough to go back more than once
I’ve wanted to try this local spot for quite some time, I’d just never found the right occasion.
We had a cosy supper for three after having had a couple of drinks in the afternoon. The food was truely excellent and definitely lived up the my expectations.
The staff were lovely and helpful and when they got a dish wrong allowed us to try both.
I would highly recommend the pork and njuda pappardelle. The portion size was perfect and meant I could enjoy the delightful starters and also leave room for a dessert!
Great ambience and service. Nice dim lighting, good for a date or groups. Pigeon was delish. Monkfish cooked well but flavours didn't sing together. No truffle in the truffle arancini balls and the tagliatelle was more noodles than pasta. Nice setting overall, but not fit for a foodie.
Wonderful food - especially all the appetisers and pasta doshes
So good I almost don't want it to get too well known in case I can't get a table. Outstanding food , service and gluten free adaptations (including gluten free arancini and fresh home-made pasta).
So the food was excellent! Cannot fault a thing food-wise. Great neighbourhood eatery with great food. Service is good although a bit too informal; it’s a nice place, but baggy jeans and high tops are a bit too casual. The table we were sat at was poorly designed; there was nowhere to put your feet, clearly form over function. And the chairs were uncomfortable, to say the least; I’m sure we would have stayed for another course and another drink had we been able to get comfy. And they don’t accept Amex; for that price point, they need to. I feel bad for the chef and cooking team; they have it so right but the rest of the restaurant let’s them down.
