Semi-private dining available for larger groups.
Sat & Sun: 1pm-3pm
Great ambience and service. Nice dim lighting, good for a date or groups. Pigeon was delish. Monkfish cooked well but flavours didn't sing together. No truffle in the truffle arancini balls and the tagliatelle was more noodles than pasta. Nice setting overall, but not fit for a foodie.
Wonderful food - especially all the appetisers and pasta doshes
So good I almost don't want it to get too well known in case I can't get a table. Outstanding food , service and gluten free adaptations (including gluten free arancini and fresh home-made pasta).
So the food was excellent! Cannot fault a thing food-wise. Great neighbourhood eatery with great food. Service is good although a bit too informal; it’s a nice place, but baggy jeans and high tops are a bit too casual. The table we were sat at was poorly designed; there was nowhere to put your feet, clearly form over function. And the chairs were uncomfortable, to say the least; I’m sure we would have stayed for another course and another drink had we been able to get comfy. And they don’t accept Amex; for that price point, they need to. I feel bad for the chef and cooking team; they have it so right but the rest of the restaurant let’s them down.
Lovely restaurant with high quality food and great service.
Great little place in Clapham that serves delicious food. The bread is to die for. Just be wary of the candles. We almost burnt the place down haha. Must go in Clapham.
Delicious but really extremely expensive. Food served on earthenware plates. Rustic feel..Royal prices. Very tasty but £££££
Sunday lunch at Sorella is outstanding value. The food is beautifully cooked, interesting and plentiful. The service is friendly and the atmosphere convivial.
The food is always great but the staff took great care of a table of four adults, one toddler and one newborn. Impressed.
Sorella's tasting menu offers good value and you get to try and number of dishes, but the full-size pasta dishes looked even better and more interesting so I will probably get one of those next time.
Myself and 3 friends came here for a late Sunday lunch. We stayed for two and a half hours of delicious food, friendly staff, good wine and a thoroughly relaxing afternoon. I will recommend it to all my friends.
Amazing food and amazing service. Can’t recommend enough
One of my favourite restaurants in Clapham. Their GF truffle arancini are to die for!
Wonderful food, a bit noisy, but then great atmosphere and very good service
Second time I’ve been and food on both occasions has been really quite incredible. Just hope it stays that way and doesn’t get too big for its boots like so many of the good places!!
As a huge fan of The Dairy I couldn’t wait to try Sorella - I wasn’t disappointed. The tasting menu is excellent value and all courses were delicious. Service was a little off - think the one waitress our side of the restaurant was run off her feet and forgot us a few times, I’m sure it’s a one off though. Overall a great experience and I’ll definitely be back!
Brilliant Sunday lunch offer.
Had a lovely time. Delicious food
Disappointed by the food considering the great critic reviews. Coppa was dry as if it had been cut and laid out for a while. The gavi had a chemical aftertaste. Squash gnocchi was bland and the Mackerel dish was underwhelming.
However, the fried olives were delightful, and the octopus linguine and the bread were wonderful.
Was quite sad to be disappointed as I had been looking forward to this dinner for a long time!
Outstanding - can’t stop telling people how fabulous everything was
Really great Italian food served with great charm and the prosciutto was one of the best I have encountered. Negronis scored ten out of ten and pasts even though it was capellini instead of the advertised linguine was also great. Anyway I prefer cappellini
Great place & food as we expected. Had a lovely time there, we loved the Sunday lunch over which was good value for money. Never seen such a Sunday lunch before
Incredible food and great service. Couldn’t ask for more
Great, creative food. The flavours are incredible. I have been twice now and always been excited to go back.
My father ordered the beef main, the taste was great, however the tenderness and quality of the beef was surprisingly the only let down of the whole experience - not a show stopper by all means though.
I will recommend this place to all of my friends too.
We went for the set lunch which was good value at £27 each
We came here as we we had recently been to The Dairy and loved it so much so we wanted to see if this was the same and if it lived up to all the hype. Well, honestly, Sorella was even better!!
We did the tasting menu and it was absolutely incredible! Great value for money and super tasty! The pigs cheek pasta was divine and the venison was absolutely outstanding. We also really liked the choice of crockery- really modern yet it suited every meal!
The decor was great too- not overdone, very relaxed yet the overall ambience was still elegant and classy.
I would highly recommend this for any evening/an important birthday celebration/anniversary dinner/just a couples date! We will most certainly be back!
I went with friends for a casual lunch. The staff were very friendly and service was good. The pasta dishes we had were delicious as were the desserts.
Our group of 5 had been waiting to try Sorella for ages and it didn’t disappoint.
The tasting menu for all of us plus cocktails and wine turned out to be a fantastic evening.
The bread was good enough to turn even the most dedicated ketomaniac (thanks for the leftovers to take home) and we could’ve eaten the agnolotti all night.
The service was a great combination of relaxed and attentive, we didn’t feel rushed at all.
Thanks Sorella :)
Second time here, this time with friends who had not been before and who were extremely impressed. Excellent food and service. Will certainly go again.
We had a lovely chef’s tasting menu here for our wedding anniversary. Food was delicious. Staff were fantastic. They were more than happy to make adaptations given I am heavily pregnant, including making me up a non-alcoholic cocktail and several food substitutions. We will definitely return. The chairs could be a bit more comfortable (but I think that’s pregnancy for you) and given the stripped back walls and decor the restaurant is quite noisy so for some people that can be a distraction. Would recommend the truffle arancini balls, the pasta dishes and the fantastic chocolate pudding. A fantastic evening.
Stunning italian food.. we were treated like kings.. and dined like them. Delicious vegetarian options and truffle taggliatelli wonderful. Very good value vermentino too.. worth the long trip to clapham.
i thought the food lacked consistency. I thought the tasting menu was pretty average and there were no dishes served off the tasting menu that made me want to go back there.
I also ordered their signature pasta dish @ £16 which was truffle based, however the lemon completely overpowered the dish & the truffle was lost.
The music unfortunately was some kind of techno house which did not suit the restaurant. It was also really loud which ment people were having to shout across the tables.
All in all, I thought the experience was average and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to any of my future diners as I don’t believe the food is the star of this restaurant.
Check with the venue what they are actually serving. They advertised a menu that was not available, which meant my fiance couldn't enjoy his meal. He was really looking forward to the chicken or cod, which were no longer on the menu there so he didn't enjoy his meal. I was ill 2 hours after eating there and was the only one in your group that had sea bass. Therefore, our overall feeling was that it was a large disappointment for a lot of money. My parents enjoyed their dishes though.
I don't get out that often these days, so was pleasantly surprised by what I experienced at Sorella. Simply put, the best meal I've had in years.
Rich creamy, earthy sauce in the pasta (shared starter), and the best cooked and seasoned cut of lamb I think I've ever had (main course). The dessert was also scrummy.
Not a huge menu, but plenty of choice for most people.
The only downside for me was that we were on a cramped table, pressed against the bar, and the music being played was both odd, and a tad loud.
That said, what a meal. Excellent service too.
Very good overall (as opposed to outstanding) because of the music, the table and the old fashioned cutlery (Yes I know it's all the rage right now, but it wasn't great to use when I was 6 at my grandparent's house, and it hasn't got any better with time).
A brilliant discovery on my part, that I will definitely recommend to friends.
Sorella did not disappoint. The pasta dishes were exceptional. Presented on fabulous stoneware dishes. The secondis were also delicious and the puddings were very decadent. Service was super attentive. We had a lovely evening and could not fault this place at all.
Ok but we've recently come back from Tuscany and feel the menu could be a bit more true to Italian food. Nice atmosphere as expected but expensive for what you get and not OMG delicous more..."hmm interesting"
Absolutely phenomenal food - fantastic arancini, best bread I've ever eaten. Would absolutely recommend.
Fabulous find having read the article on Sorella in this month’s Olive magazine. Fantastic food and wonderful service. A fantastic evening.
First trip to Sorella and the food was amazing. Between the 2 of us we had some olives, arancini, bread, 2 antipata and 2 primi pasta dishes, which sadly was sufficient as I would have loved to have tried others!
nice environment, really good food, very good staff
