Semi-private dining available for larger groups.
Maybe we were missing something but the food was not to our taste at all. Odd flavour combinations on the whole. One pea and cured egg dish we had to send back because it was just bland and bizarre - peas in gloop! Kindly they offered us an alternative but the ricotta was a big splodge of cheese, also odd flavourings. To be fair they charged us for neither. However it was £100 and disappointing for a very rare night out for us. Perhaps we are no longer au fait with current food trends/flavours - but if this was scandi meets italian it just didn't work for us, sadly. Clearly getting old because volume of music was also too loud but that's a problem elsewhere too.
Really fantastic food, delicately and expertly prepared, and a great wine selection. Plus lovely staff. Will definitely be coming again.
I was really looking forward to the Tasting Menu at Sorella's. However, shortly after our arrival we were informed they no longer offer that. Would have been good to ensure the menu's are upto date.
Manageress is amazing and all the waiting so friendly. Go at least twice a month.
Great staff from a customer point of view, and they all - including those in the kitchen seemed happy. Not a given so well done on that.
So service was perfectly timed before and throughout the meal, the care and attention to ingredients, preparation, cooking and presentation was obvious and the only reason I gave 4* was the ricotta and coppa primis were good. But not great - ricotta was too fluid and lacked taste [as opposed to being mild] and the coppa had way, way too much fat [by normal italian standards].
However, everything else was great or fantastic - overall a great dining experience and priced just right. We will go again, and soon.
Mains superb - brill and beef, and husband really enjoyed ragu starter. Glad we had 7.30 and not 8.00 booking as it got a bit loud after a while - but happy to recommend.
Sorella was as usual amazing- we have visited several times with friends and family and it’s always great. On Sunday there is a special set menu and they serve reduced A la carte, super accommodating for dietary requirements too. The service always is very friendly and efficient.
The only thing- please bring the gnocchi back! They were the best thing!
Was a lovely evening, good service, food, wine and atmosphere.
Way too expensive for what it was.
We went for our 18 month anniversary and had cherry bellinis, arancini, mortadella, a crab and pickle opener whose name I can't recall, veal ragu pappardelle for us both and panna cotta and chocolate mousse to finish. All delicious and reasonably priced. Friendly staff that were frequently available. Ambiance was fine, decor not really to my tastes but not off-putting either.
Very deserving of their recent Bib Gourmand status and I'd heartily recommend it.
Service was pretty slow considering only 3 tables
Nice but too expensive for small portions
Got there earlier so was a bit quiet but then got busier as we left. The service was good and the food was amazing, it was definitely all fresh. My family and I enjoyed it! The fried olives are delicious.
An absolute neighbourhood gem. I’m tempted to keep it a secret! We had a delicious early Friday night supper. Lovely buzzy atmosphere. Charming staff. Perfect.
I’ve been to Sorella a couple of times before and it was really excellent, but this time the good just wasn’t as good. Coppa and mortadella were both a bit tasteless. My tonnarelli were over cooked - and were in fact tagliatelle not tonnarelli. My two fellow diners were also a bit disappointed. The food was still decent, just not nearly as good as before. Service still excellent and nevertheless a pleasant evening.
Really high standard Italian food, beautifully cooked.
A lazy Sunday lunch here with a friend who turned up late but that was fine because they gradually fed me one course after another as I ordered them... and then fed my friend too. The pea and lemon pasta is fresh and light, the girolles and truffle paste a massive earthy slap across your chops... all delicious!
This place is a find!
Genuine Italian food - interesting menu.
The herb flavorings were great.
The monkfish was to die for! (thinly slices and seared - not had it so well done before)
Good value decent wine (Italian obviously - try the vermentino)
Wish we lived closer.
Very much lived up to the hype. Food was absolutely delicious, and fair portion sizes:cost ratios. The exception to that perhaps being the 6 slices of monkfish for £27. But that’s just me.
Perhaps my favourite local. The truffle arancini and affogato were outstanding. I didn’t like the new black ink pasta dish, usually the pasta dishes are absolutely outstanding too but I thought this one was really lacking flavour and that je ne sais quoi that makes the other pasta dishes on the menu a truly memorable experience. Super friendly staff and I feel incredibly good in that type of interior decor.
I normally love dining at Sorella, but this time i was a little underwhelmed. I feel like the dishes have changed slightly since last time, as i recall being blown away by the ricotta starter and papardelle whereas this time they both lacked a bit of flavor particularly the pasta. The previous version had fennel seed and really packed a punch but this time the dish was bland. I'll still be back though as on the whole it's a great restaurant. I'll be trying the truffle pasta next time, everyone in our party raved about it!
Food was superb. Enriching and fruitful flavours. Excellent service and would highly recommend. I'll definitely be heading back soon!
First time, (and is definitely not the last time!) we’ve tried this restaurant - fab food and service, friendly staff and flavors galore!
Outstanding food with superb service , highly recommend and will be back very soon
Attentive and engaging staff, from the welcome to knowledge about the yummy menu.
Great food, setting, wine and staff. Would 100% recommend and will be returning!
Sorella is a gem: great food, great service, great ambience without any of it being too pretentious. Tucked away down a side street, you’re not quite sure WHAT to expect..,then the smell of fresh baking hits you as you enter.
The chefs menu is very good value and the staff are charming.
Love this place, live right next door and will be returning soon
Sorella was excellent! Food was very creative and fresh, I loved their vegetarian menu featuring some nice local ingredients. I always appreciate restaurants that offer house filled bottles of sparkling water, as I love bubbly water, but don’t like the impact it has on the environment—kudos Sorella!
Wonderful local restaurant
Food was delicious. Service was a bit slow in terms of getting bill, bringing over wine.
Lovely and sunny at lunch time with a glass roof. Very welcoming staff
Lovely staff, turned down music when asked, very helpful with dietary requirements, fabulous food
Once again our family enjoyed a great Sunday lunch with excellent service. The food is always delicious, so good that we can never pick one course above the other.
Best Italian food I have had in London. A must try!
Pasta was incredible and truffle arancini a must .
Tasting menu gives an excellent intro to the wide variety of dishes on offer. The truffle arrancini were standout. The lamb not as good as we had hoped but everything else ranged from very good to fantastic. Very interesting, reasonably priced Italian wine list. Great atmosphere for a fun night out
Food and service both superb
We had he chef's menu as recommended by a friend. The food was balanced and tasty and well cooked. We also had some great cocktails and Italian wines. The service was friendly and enthusiastic and the ambience buzzy. If I had a slight issue it was that the ecoustics were a tad noisy and we had to shout.
A hidden gem - I would certainly go back. The pappardelle with veal ragu an absolute must. My guest raved about the tagliatelle with mushroom and truffle.
