The food and service were at the highest level and I’m so glad I chose this restaurant to dine at on my holiday
The veal saltimboca was perfect and a pleasure to eat
The bombolini dessert was amazing
Our waiter was a gentleman
Highly recommend Sorellina
Excellent experience from beginning to end. You will not be disappointed.
Exceptional as always
Fantastic meal on a bit of a surreal night as most businesses were shutting down because of the Coronavirus. ‘social distancing’ was easy as the restaurant was about 1/3 full. Food and service were exceptional, which was much appreciated as we were celebrating the career of a friend who was retiring.
Beautiful experience. Well done team
The place was amazing. We will be back for sure
Food and service were great. Portions are small.
They were very accommodating. Food outstanding.
Always elegantly comfortable with excellent service and quality cuisine.
Have been here a number of times over the years for various occasions. Never fails to go above and beyond the regular. Tonight was our 20th anniversary of being engaged. The waiter Thomas thought enough to bring us a wonderful small dessert. Drinks are amazing, the food is wonderful, but it is the service that really makes the difference. We will always go back.
Absolutely amazing meal and service.
Lobster gnocchi was superb.
The cost was much more than it should have been.
Friends birthday celebration. Fantasy experience all around!
Luxurious setting and gracious service with classic Italian menu.
Everything about it was perfection. For two people who eat out at fine dining quite a bit, it takes a lot to “wow” us but we both felt it was one of the best dinners we had ever had. The service and ambiance were fantastic as well. Highly recommend!!
Good food, excellent service. The waiter was attentive without being ingratiating. Great places for a special occasion; not inexpensive...
We were especially impressed with the unobtrusive service and the personal attention by Mark, our waiter.
The Ribeye was cooked just perfect, the Salmon Tartar was great and the overall experience.
amazing veal and gnocchi. great atmosphere and service. went for Valentine's Day dinner
Absolutely amazing dinner. You can’t go wrong with this place.
I found a portion is very small and I found it to be very expensive for the amount of food you were given
Great atmosphere and food!
The service was extremely good and the atmosphere was excellent as well... which is why it's hard to write that the food was a bit disappointing. I ordered the ribeye, which was quite good and certainly a fair price for an upscale restaurant such as Sorellina. However, the tuna appetizer did not come out as expected. It was not listed as "tartare," like the steak and salmon, but that's what came out. If we had known that, we would have chosen something else. My wife ordered the gnocchi but needed to substitute it for GF pasta. There was supposed to be lobster in it, but good luck finding any. It was nice that GF pasta was available but, at $28 and for what came out, it was extremely shameful! All in all, Sorellina is a great place for a romantic date but be prepared to possibly leave hungry after spending $250 for dinner.
Great food and well delivered!
Well what can I say when everything is right other than THANK YOU. We have been coming here for years now. One of the last great fine dining restaurants left in Boston and maybe the best. Hats of the the chefs and staff never a misstep which is incredibly hard to maintain in the restaurant business. Try anything and everything you will not be disappointed. The oysters were pristine, the foi gras terrine ample and unctuous. The lobster gnocchi were supple, light and bursting with flavor. The truffled risotto was elegant, rich and a real splurge. Desserts were satisfying and a great ending. The bar and wine service was flawless. Service was exemplary and well paced. The room is elegant and always well maintained. All in all a great venue and wonderfully bright spot on the dining scene in Boston
Unbelievable, best meal I’ve had in a while
We had a great time. The filet mignon was amazing, as were the desserts!
We come here every year on Valentine’s Day and our anniversary and it never disappoints! Every detail is top notch, always.
Our server Mark was Amazing!!!!
We had a wonderful experience on this, our second visit to the restaurant. The food was innovative, well prepared and presented beautifully. This restaurant does not cut corners. Staff was attentive without being obtrusive and the surroundings are quiet and beautiful. The wine list is extensive and some are quite expensive, but we found a nice Italian gem at a fair price. Our sense here is that Italian wines provide the best quality and value. If you are looking for a restaurant for a special occasion, you can't go wrong with Sorellina. We consider it one of Boston's best.
Service food excellent would highly recommend for special occasion.
Sorellina is always among my top picks and favorites in Boston. Every aspect of this restaurant is top shelf.
Delicious food, classy understated setting, busy, but conversations still normal. A special occasion made more special by this excellent restaurant.
Oh, I was able to talk to my old friends in this lovely, hushed room! Food was stellar, service was even more so, wine list was extensive and thoughtful. This is a special-occasion restaurant, and you will not be disappointed.
We chose the restaurant by proximity to where we were staying and it was a delightful choice. Elegant albeit slightly noisy - creative and attractive and tasty food, with a touch of spice that one does not always anticipate - service honest and attentive without hovering, and helpful. The wine list is robust and excellent although there are some surprises (mars de Bourgogne for over $100 was a surprise even if it was a very attractive offering)
Fantastic food, beverage and service. Staff is informed and there when you need them, not when you don’t. Food is well prepared and very consistent in its quality. I don’t give atmosphere a 5 because there are some not awesome tables in the back of the room. Place is beautiful otherwise.
Ambience was good, however our table was next to the window and the air conditioning vents, so it was a little cool. Service was not the best. I had be better service!
Overall best dining experience in Boston.
Our experience at Sorellina was a very pleasant surprise. It shouldn't have been because the reviews on Open Table are so good. But we have seldom experienced such a successful melding of elements that make for a great dining experience. The dining room is elegant in a non-stuffy and contemporary way, with ample space between tables. Service was superb; they have somehow managed to assemble a small army of staff who were unobtrusive but highly attentive. The food was "nouvelle" without being terminally clever, and was unfailingly delicious. The octopus appetizer was the best octopus I have ever eaten, prepared in a thoroughly unexpected way (sorry, no spoiler; just try it yourself). The noise level was at the quiet end of moderate, which in my opinion is just right. The price of our meal was quite reasonable for a restaurant of this quality; we have paid more for less at other restaurants many times. We are very much looking forward to returning to this excellent restaurant.
