Excellent experience all round steaks were amazing

As ever, amazing food and people. I dine alone - but always end up chatting with other people around me as it is such a relaxed, friendly establishment. The cod ina tomato and caper sauce was succulent and scrumptious.

Best restaurant in Stratford-upon-Avon

First choice each time we visit. The king prawns are sensational.

We enjoyed a very nice evening at Sorrento in Stratford. The service was good, wine selection very good and while the food was of excellent quality, the presentation, creativity and preparation weren't quite up to expectations. The pasta was overcooked and the Caprese salad was simple circular slices of tomato and mozzarella, which while tasty could have been better with a little love (and some nicer pesto). But, we'll be back again as the squid ink linguine with crab and scallops was really wonderful.

Hidden gem of a restaurant. Warm greeting Excellent dining room perfectly laid out pristine linen. Impressive Italian wine list. Excellent choice of food. Seafood was amazing. Service was of the very highest standard. Can’t wait to revisit even though we live 140 miles away.

A lovely friendly family owned restaurant. Whole experience was a pleasure. Will go back again.

Welcomimg and friendly staff, a well set out dining room with ample room on the table. Service was quite quick and the food , mussels to start and then Halibut was beautifully cooked and very tasty. No hesitation in recommending others visit here.

The overall dining experience was good but got off to a poor start due to a name mix up on reservations between parties.

We were surprised how large the restaurant was with the number of tables both inside and outside. The staff were very attentive and even accommodated us moving to a table outside as it was so hot inside even after they had decorated the table inside for my husbands birthday. The food was excellent with time in between courses, so the service was perfect.
We would certainly eat here again on another occasion too, and have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Excellent food with a wide ranging & varied menu. The ‘specials’ section of the menu provides a wider choice whilst the ‘a la carte’ section offers a good selection of dishes which are very reasonably priced. The service is friendly & attentive. We will definitely be choosing Sorrento again soon

The staff were very friendly, and the food was good.

They were attentive and we didn't wait for anything.

Had good music and felt like a real Italian, rather than a zizzi or prezzo chain.

The only negative was the bill.

We didn't have alcohol yet our drinks bill came to around 15 pound for 3 cokes and a soda and lime which I felt was overly expensive.

But the good was good and overall it was enjoyable.

What a lovely find, the food was absolutely stunning. In particular the lobster thermadore was to die for. Lovely staff, attentive but not too in your face. There were so many delicious options to choose from, will definitely eat here again.

We had a pre theatre dinner at Sorrento. The food and service is a really good standard, nice atmosphere would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely ideal for a quiet meal, with outstanding food and service. Have been to the Sorrento many time before, and have never had a bad meal there. The service couldn't be any better.

Love this place, been coming for years! food is amazing. I am a big chap and find the chairs and space a little uncomfortable. Other than this is amazing.

As a frequent visitor to Stratford - I can honestly say that it was the best dining experience I have encountered to date.

Our first visit to sorrento,s , and only second visit to Stratford in over 20 years. We met with friends who we get together with once a year. We all love Italian restaurants and Sorrento,s didn't disappoint. Our friend had a few dietary issues but this was no problem to the staff and all needs were met quickly and efficiently. The black linguine with scallops was to die for and we would definitely recommend it. We all had different things from t he menu and every thing was perfect. The staff were great, so friendly and welcoming, we will definitely be returning on our next visit.

We booked a table at sorrento for our 6th year anniversary dinner. On arrival we were greeted immediately and our coats taken. Everyone we passed smiled and welcomed us to the restaurant.
The waiting staff were very attentive, food choice was great, and the food quality, taste and value was amazing!!
I had the lobster tail risotto which was divine, and my partner the steak which was cooked perfectly to medium rare. Everything was thought of - water along with drinks, coffee after the meal offered etc. Just little touches which made it more of a fine dining experience rather than a run of the mill order food and leave experience.
On leaving again everyone we passed thanked us and wished us a good evening. It was such a pleasant and welcoming experience.
We have planned to make it a yearly visit for our anniversary going forward, so we will definitely be back.

A real gem. Would definitely revisit. Wonderful food and service.

Overall quite a nice restaurant with excellent service. The food, however, was disappointing. My ribeye steak was very fatty and my wifes veal was undercooked and below expectations. At over £100 for dinner for two it is quite expensive, so given the quality we wont be rushing back.

Wonderful authentic Italian food in a lovely setting.

Great food great people. It's always been good but the latest layout amd menu are bettet than ever. Staff were excellent but not intrusive. Lovely evening after a 200 mile drive. Made it all worthwhile.
