food was fabulous but unfortunately the service was extremely slow. Our table was at 7.30pm and we received our main course at 10pm. I would still recommend it however as the food was worth the wait.
Managed to get a late booking on the same evening which helped as we decided spontaneously to go out. Restaurant was close to the movie house, so made for the perfect pre-movie meal. Food was delicious and service very attentive. Would recommend very much.
Excellent meal, their version of chicken tandori was bery moist and delicious
Very poor. Uninviting entrance. Cold, expensive, no ambiance, food warranted nothing more than satisfactory. Staff pleasant but unprofessional. Could be summed up by saying it was like some well intentioned accountants decided they wanted to be restaurateurs. Would not recommend to anyone.
I was so pleased to get a last minute booking here. It was in a super convenient, central location and offered THE most fabulous fusion menu. We all (a variety of veggies, GF, pescavores and meat eaters) had wonderful meals. Imaginative, tasty, beautifully presented combinations of European and Asian food cooked from scratch. Cannot recommend too highly.
Service was pleasant but slightly chaotic when we introduced cocktails into the mix. Ambience was lovely but surprisingly empty for a pre-Christmas Saturday night.
Outstanding service that always attended (we even asked to move to first floor which have live music before our dessert). Romantic and ambient environment on first floor which suits couples, anniversaries events and Christmas party. Great cuisine choices to match different diner. One of the best restaurant in Belfast.
accommodating staff, food was better than expected and venue quite easy to access.
Indian Fusion, great flavour combinations, paired with an excellent selection of wine. The entertainment in the restaurant during our meal was a nice touch, not sure who the gent on the guitar was; but he’s amazing! The only let down for us, was the waitress wasn’t very attentive, somehow disinterested, Shame.
Souls-a real find in the heart of Belfast. Wonderful food -and would recommend to anyone.
First time I’ve tried this restaurant, attracted by the word fusion. Also I’m a vegetarian and the veggie menu looked so amazing (not usually the case) so I was keen to try it out. BTW they even do vegan food - unheard of in Belfast. Though fish and meat are also prominently featured on the menu. I had toasted paneer with a coconut sauce and lentil and chickpea type of patty with beetroot coulis - absolutely delish! My friend had the chicken with rosemary and was equally impressed. Staff very friendly and easy to get their attention. And all reasonably priced. Lovely vibe in the place - would highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Excellent small and intimate restaurant close to center of Belfast. Great service and menu is Indian food with a difference.
Food was really good and the service friendly. Also had a really cute waiter.
Souls is located in what used to be, The Square" and its a very good replacement. Firstly, the staff. The young lady who was present in the restaurant and also the serving staff were very friendly, helpful, but not intrusive, enthusiastic and obviously happy with the paradigm that the restaurant works to.
My friend and I had the Tandoori platter for 2 and it was really good - the monkfish was nice and tender and the chicken as well, the lamb kebabs light and tasty - a good start. The mains of duck breast and chicken tikka were "modern", but beautifully presented and very enjoyable. The peshwari was light and sweet (could have had more almonds and sultanas, but was very nice). Its not a classical Indian restauranyt, but more of a modern fusion style of cooking and it works well. I'd recommend it highly and I'll definitely be back. The Rioja was also very good.
Fantastic food, service was great, we had the Deli Platter starter which was superb can't understand why the place isn't packed out. It deserves its good reviews.
