Fabulous lunch to end the year. Staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel safe. Food was next level gorgeous couldn’t decide so went for the small plates all amazing. Kids had the pizza and loved it

We really enjoyed our pre Christmas family outing to Exmouth Spoken. Friendly staff, such a tasty menu. A fun cocktail for mum, hallumi chips, and my son said the Magarita pizza was "of his dreams". Lovely decor.
We love spoken but are finding the food a bit hit and miss. Went 2 months ago and it was outstanding, went this week and it was a bit disappointing. Staff very nice......

We have been twice recently and the food both times has been incredible. Particularly the tapas dishes, so flavoursome, and makes it worth while be able to eat out again when the food is that good!

As always a great time at Spoken. We had a variety of dishes ‘tapas’ style, food was very good. The service was excellent and the ambiance was relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

As ever, we were treated like favourite guests, wonderful drinks range, cocktails and shots. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable about the menu and so friendly. The food was delicious, fresh and generous portions

The food is very good (we had the lamb tagine) and was served in a reasonable time. Our order was taken shortly after sitting down and our wine came promptly.
Spoken is usually amazing. This time due to lockdown coming, they didn’t have certain items on the menu. Considering the food menu isn’t massive, we should’ve been informed at the time of making a booking.
Also, the service wasn’t what it usually is. The staff were lovely, as they always are, however after we finished with our food, no one came to us for a good half hour to ask if we would like any more drinks or even the bill. I hate having to ask someone to come over to our table but I did and that’s how we got our second round of drinks. We probably would’ve spent more as well if we had been able to have a drink the whole evening. When the bill was brought over, there was an extra item on it, which we had ordered but they ran out of.
I do believe it was just an off night for them, considering everything that’s happening. I hope this is taken as ‘healthy criticism’. I will continue supporting local businesses and Spoken is still one of my favourite places to visit. ❤️
We found the food at Spoken to be excellent-great quality and good value. Very vibrant atmosphere-bordering on quite noisy at times, but good fun and relaxed. Service was good too. The only criticism we would have is that in these times of COVID, our table was very close to the one behind-so spacing could be better. Otherwise, a lovely evening.

We had a great meal here. The prawns and chorizo starter was lovely as was the pizza and the wine selection was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend
Didn’t enjoy the food. The cuttlefish starter was really rubbery not much flavour. Chicken Gyros and chips was just basic nothing really different about it compared to a takeaway van. I probably wouldn’t go back there.
Had a very enjoyable evening on Saturday night first time we had eaten here food was good cocktails very good service was quick and we will eat there again.

Love this venue, fresh, bright decor, comfortable, well spaced seating- inside and out. The best staff, friendly, engaging and helpful. Both the food & drinks/cocktails menus (recently revised) have a good variety of option, including vegan choices plus a special board. We come here often, its great for an intimate date night or a lively birthday celebration- never been disappointed by the staff, service or food & drinks
Food excellent, great value, & good sized portions. Quite busy so service slower than we would have liked. Tables seemed a bit too close together,

Preferred the last menu. Had a look online When I booked and saw the old menu. Didn’t expect the new one when we arrived. Also spoke to a table next to us who had the same issues.

Not a good evening at Spoken - what’s happened to the menu? ‘‘Twas so good last time we visited, was crowded, no social distancing and no recording whatsoever for track and trace. Will not visit again
