Was a rainy night so a little slow. Food was excellent though. I think by now most restaurants should offer a paper menu. My friend could not get his URL reader to work so that was a hassle.
Amazing. I don’t want to write a review. Leave me alone
Good place. Service was a little slow, but everywhere is now. Nothing stopping us from going back. The fried olives were amazingly good.
always an amazing experience. David our waiter was THE BEST. They are always accommodating for us to try new things. The experience for all will be remembered. We don't get out much anymore - so each time counts.
Closing soon. Menu has changed and place is being demolished to make way for more apartments. Sad outcome for one of our favorites.
This was my fist time back since the start of the pandemic. The service was excellent. The food was good. I was disappointed as there were less choices for appetizers. The menu has changed some. I had a nice house inspired cocktail. I will be back.
The food was excellent - a little scant for the price. The wine list (white) seemed very limited. The service was excellent
Food was okay, they brought the bread at the end…I have had great times there before, so maybe this was a fluke.
We were excited to return to Sprezza, and were mildly disappointed. We still like the atmosphere and the patio was great. The service was uneven - at times attentive and at other times absent. The drinks/wine pours were on the smallish side. The Suppli (sp?) was tasty but salty. We had a salad of shaved zucchini, parm, olives and Caesar dressing. Really good. The mushroom pizza was light on the mushroom and more similar to those pies elsewhere in Dallas rather than the light, crispy flavorful pies we remembered from Sprezza. The lemon something cake on whipped ricotta was close to tasteless. Overall, dinner was ok - just not what we remembered.
David was great-excellent wine recommendations!!
The food was very good, although portion sizes were small. We sat on patio and it was a nice ambiance, minus the expected road noise. The biggest detractor from the dining experience was the poor service. There were maybe 8 tables occupied and at least 4 waiters so it was baffling how long it would take to place an order or get a water refill. Food was also slow to come out. I’m not sure how they could possibly operate if the restaurant was busy.
Sprezza never disappoints with their ever changing menus. The food was fresh & delicious. My one concern is, not a mask in sight by employees or patrons. I find this disrespectful to diners. We opted for outdoor dining due to the pandemic. Dallas has a mask mandate for indoor venues. I realize the governor thinks otherwise & leaves it up to businesses to enforce, but I was surprised to see this at Sprezza. It will probably be off our list of dining choices until things are safer. I’m sorry for this because their food is truly unique & delicious.
We always enjoy this neighborhood gem. Shared antipasti and pastas with a great wine recommendation by our server. Great casual date spot.
Great food and really helpful waiter on describing the dishes and helping us make choices. really nice dinner
Our server was excellent. Recommended delicious wine, appetizers and pizza. The only negative was we had to eat on the patio and it was disgustingly hot. The hostess said she would bring us inside if she could. There was open tables in the air conditioning but we were still relegated to hot patio with wrought iron tables and uncomfortable chairs. Would have been a perfect night if I wasn’t sweating sooo much.
Sprezza is a long-time favorite. But our meal last night raised concern that it is on its last legs. Either that or they are having major supply issues. The menu was even more limited than usual and when ordering a gin and tonic, we were advised they were out of Tanqueray. After ordering Hendrick’s instead, the drink arrived with an admonition that it had been prepared with the last of the Hendrick’s. Our wine request was substituted because they were out of what we ordered—something we were only advised of after the replacement bottle had been opened. The wine list itself was greatly pared down from previous visits. We had a very good meal notwithstanding these hiccups, but the writing seems to be on the wall.
Great time! Portions small but yummy!
Great food, but just really small portions. We always leave hungry. I ordered the favor and I received 5 small (1") square cheese filled ravioli and that was my main course and it was $25. It was very good, but it needs to be dinner sized portions.
Great as usual ☺️
Too much has changed. Sprezza has lost it's magic touch. It's not on our top ten list anymore and we used to go every few weeks. it will be awhile before we return.
Menu is much smaller. So fewer items to choose from. Pizza was ok but not great, watermelon sald was fun. The ravioli were just okay and the buccatini was seriously undercooked.
They were great during the first pandemic----
Unfortunately this time the outside patio was extremely noisy from one group of people. We cannot hear our waiters explanation of the menu. After a few minutes we explained this to him asked for a table away inside. None were available. Other people on the patio kept looking at the same group. Again we asked our waiter about the noise level And he said he would talk to the manager. Nothing was done very very annoying. Somethings should’ve been said to those people. Fortunately they eventually left when we were halfway through our meal.
This used to be one of our favorite restaurants…so sad to see it so neglected by the owner…it was going downhill before Covid, and has continued to decline. The food and wine menu is very small, and they are always out of basic things. No seafood on the menu anymore…I think Mr Barsotti is giving his attention elsewhere
Outstanding food and service! I would definitely recommend Sprezza.
Friday night primetime reservations...
Back of the house was spot on; food marvelous and full of freshness and flavors. Pastas were both wonderful, very deep flavor if small servings.
Front of the house was a mess. The outside dining area shares servers with the inside in some odd pattern, like everyone inside has to cover 1 outside table, which leads to long stretches with no service, waiting for something as basic as water or bread. Yes they caught it and apologized but got the feeling it's a feature not a bug.
Not anything I'd expect at this price point, in this neighborhood, with the options one has around here. Food is very very good but... maybe caught them on an off night.
Sprezza is our go to place for a guaranteed exceptional dining experience. Chef Ryan has proven to us to be one of the gifted Chefs in the metroplex. From the Pizza to the desserts, never has a single dish not met our expectations...and our expectations are extremely high. Additionally, the staff at Sprezza treat each other and their guests like family, and that is reflected in the quality of service and food. If needing any other reason to go, Ryan will prepare a chef tasting, contingent on your budget, with only a 24 hour notice (be sure to include this request in your reservations). Sprezza is one of the best, if not the best!!!
Sprezza is a favorite, and the head chef and staff always make us feel at home. Can’t say enough great things about Sprezza!
They made our anniversary SO special! Such a great place!
One of the nicest patios in Dallas with the large covered porches and pet friendly. The antipasti were new for summer and the tomatoes were particularly delicious. We enjoyed both the pizza and pasta. Excellent food paired with some interesting regional wines.
Always a good dinner at Sprezza. My favorite place to go.
Sprezza is well worth a visit. I went with a friend and had the Camorra pizza and the Bucatini. The Bucatini did not really stand out but it was not bad either. My friend lived in Italy for a few years and he said the pizza was up to par.
Wonderful food and excellent service!!! A great selection of wine!
Food was amazing but the service was not great. Totally understand staffing issues but we had to ask for everything.
Menu changes frequently. We are always surprised. Love the food.
Very good upscale casual dining. A bit over the top on pricing. $40 - including tip - for 2 drinks is NYC pricing at a hipster bar.
Michael, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! Come back and see us soon. Kathya Martinez General Manager
Our good friend moving out of town
The service, the food, the atmosphere were all wonderful! I haven't enjoyed an evening with friends as much in the past few years. The menu offered quite a few interesting dishes. I will definitely go back and probably order different dishes just to try a few that I passed up!!! And best of all, we could actually talk to each other without shouting.
Service was spot on. The food did not disappoint!!
Food and service were both excellent, we were just unaware how small the portions are. Be sure to order multiple dishes if you come here.
Fantastic food and service as usual.
